We live in an unkind world. If kindness is returned, it is wonderful. Although if what you seek is a return or a reward from it, then at times, one will find themselves instead humbled by reality.
I believe one should be kind because they themselves want too, and for nothing else. Of course, everyone has their limit of being able to take negativity regardless.
