His strength is the only advantage in a real scrap with a pitbull. I know y'all have to recognize the persistence that Staffy has with that corso in the video. It doubles in a fight. Bigger dogs become overwhelmed and overheated in that situation. They also tend to nurse their wounds after extreme trauma. Pitbulls ignore all of those factors when fighting. They almost block out distracting things and have laser focus on biting and destroying whatever their target is. Regardless of pain, fatigue, fear, most distractions. English breeders in the early 1800's were so insistent on gameness. Some would use such cruel, and abusive tactics to measure and prove the gameness of his dog and or dog's bloodline. They would cut off the front legs of a pitbull and see if it would crawl to a bull 🐂 to bite it, while hurt and bleeding. After reading this, and owning a few pitbulls myself. I realized the truth about the breed.
Pittbull seems to be really aggressive. Good thing that a young cane corso or things could get ugly. My 250lbs male mastiff didnt tolerate such behavior without correcting the agressive dog. He would knock them down and grab them up by the chest n shake the piss outta them and toss them away. German shepherd's rottweiler, killed many coyotes. He was the calm alfa dog but was only aggressive when he had to be and he ended confrontations fast and hard. Then was calm n laid back again. The boss!
Your Cane would be treated the same way. Cane Corso is a man stopper not a gladiator dog. A game bred pit would keep coming until your corso tired out then he'd maul your dog. Pits have a pain tolerance and stamina that your cane corso could never match.

There’s a video out there with an adult male Pit fights two Corso’s. I can’t remember if it was on UA-cam or Instagram. I think both Pits and Corso’s are awesome. A guy was walking his Pit and the Corso jumped the fence. The guy let out his smaller Corso and the Pit still won.

I got a rescue pure bred American staffy for adoption fees. Awesome dog. Pretty sure she was bred a lot. And pretty sure she's from a game dog line. Has the tenacity of the staffy in the video. Also does that four legged vigorous dirt clawing then lunge thing you see in video. My girl is strong and challenges me all the time. Just need to be firm and consistent but loving. They're a very very affectionate breed. Love to cuddle. Awesome dog.
