Jonny, thank you for your amazing clarity and transparency in your lessons!! Your 60, 30, 10 method is truly inspiring and remarkable in that there is an instant connection to improvising and incorporating different scales in a musical context! Awesome!
Tremendo tu explicación Jonny un video que vale la pena ver por su valor para seguir creciendo en el jazz pocos videos como este he visto en You tube tan profundo felicitaciones bendiciones desde Argentina
I learned a lot, thank you so much! I would love to know how to articulate these scales to others chord's combinations as you stayed on C7 only, do you have any video on this subject? I mean, to articulate the scales on the different chords
To all those who comment, yes, Jonny gives a fantastic tip that elevates your piano skills. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. You owe it to yourself to sign up, and if, after a year, you don't feel you are learning, then you may unsubscribe. I promise you will wonder why you haven't signed up before!
Incredible❤ Thanks a lot ! And if we talk about a 2-5-1 progression ? Where we have a Minor 7, a Dominant 7th, Major 7 ? Each of these chords will match with a mode. Am I right ?
Yes I think they tend to use dorian/frigian for the 2, mixo for the 5 and lidian for the 1, I guess you can still use both of the blues scales for the 5, maybe the blues m for the 2 and the blues major for the one, you can also use modes of more rare scales like the ones from the harmonic/melodic minor, and of course pentatonics, im not an expert tho, that's just what I heard from other people.
Can i change the key to solo idk how musician do it but I'm trying to do a solo in c minor pentatonic which is blue then i changed to G minor pentatonic is it good or is out of the rule
