- Ponziani Opening Traps - There are various chess opening tricks, strategies, gambits, moves, tactics and ideas that you can use to win fast. In this chess video, I will show you some secret ponziani variations that you can use to win more games. Most of these traps are for white & there is one line for black as well. This can be fun to try against your friends & opponents who have not seen such traps before. We will cover ponziani countergambit, ponziani steinitz gambit & jaenisch counterattack. This can be very effective against beginner & intermediate level players (almost 80% players fall for these traps). I also have an interesting chess puzzle at the end of this video, let's see if you can solve that.

Please do queen's pawn based traps or traps to play as Black.
Chess Puzzle: 1. Qc8+ Kxc8 2. Be6+ the king can only go to d8 and this is a double check so the queen can't take the bishop so Kd8 3. Rc8#
Puzzle solution:
At first white plays Queen c8 black has only option to capture the queen with king c8 and then white plays bishop e6 which is a double check again Black's king can only move to square d8 and rook c8 is a checkmate by white
Answer: bishop E6 then rook c8 mate
@@nikchit That only works if the black queen takes the bait. The black queen can move to c6 and block the white rooks move to c8. Kelemen's answer is more correct.
"We don't care about the queen, we just go after the big fish." - Jeetendra Advani LOL... ;)
4:53 You are only up a piece until blacks next move. Q-F6 Check and the queen grabs your knight on his next move. "That's an amazing trap, Right" - Well, only till blacks next move. Overall , Mr. Avani is very educating on his traps.
@@michaelgrella275 are you an idiot you can just block the check by moving the knight to F3
@@Kira-gg9wm king is at f2, queen is at f6, how tf can't knight block at f3
I always think bishop should and capture pawn in f7
Yes 😂
He is the only one who teaches chess on the youtube this professional and this systematically.
Yeah, he makes it fun!!! There is also another guy - SUREN who is an excellent coach with explaining. Check him out too.... but yeah this guy has extra relish!!!!
Check out Agadmator's channel too
Mato Jelic, GJ Chess, and st Louis chess and scholastic center are all excellent, the latter having endless gm instruction and commentary.
Debatable
levy?(gothamchess) hes also very good at this
my favourite opening is ponziani
i have literally won so many games based on this
thank you sir
hey! I am Reehaan Maheshwari. I am 8 years old from Bengaluru. I like your channel a lot. I like when you say 'we don't care about the queen anymore,we'll go after the big fish', I laughed a lot man. I use your chess tricks in my chess tournament on Sunday. I even joined your tournament on Saturday 9 pm.

Most satisfying line :
"Then he's gone, let me show you how"
Yep
That's my fav line too. Thats why i watch him. He is a great teacher
the sweetie is gone
"And if your opponent also plays this then he can pack his bags and go home"😂😂😂
Yes i love that line❤️
I burst into laughter when he says "We take the sweetie as well"
Why didnt he take it with black sweety?
Underated
"sweety". Sweaty means someone who sweats a lot lol
@@josephsalmonte4995 no one said sweaty.
@@suryajijo3845 yeah they did. They just edited their comment 👍
For the puzzle I think you sacrifice your queen by placing it on c8. The king is forced to take it which then you will double check the king with bishop to e6. The king is forced to d8. Then I think Rook to c8 is checkmate.
Wow
you are good very good🙏🏽😊
Also, you can sac the bishop first on f7, then queen on c8 is mate
@@abictor3312 no then black will first take our queen and then black will place knight on c6...only way to mate is sacrificing queen
My problem is that MY ENEMY'S ARE WATCHING THIS TOO!!
They teach you a secret then expose to all
Hahahaha
2:17 "This horsey" -Advani
4:36 "This king is completely naked" -Advani (Smiles evilly)
5:56 "It's goodbye Mr Knight." -Advani (Another evil smile)
No evil smile a good smile 😎
1:57 "We take the sweety as well"
3:51 "Then he Is gone", these are the most satisfying four words ever by the great Mr. Advani :D
I like this guy, he is quite good at teaching and his remarks are quite funny
"horsey" means "knight", but this is so funny! I like it a lot!
Awesome Opening, sir. The opening is so destructive.Loved your commentary on the video.
Answer to the Puzzle-
1. Queen c8+ .Black has to take with the King.
2. Bishop e6+ A double check. Black's King has to move to d8 .
3. Rook c8# .A beautiful checkmate. The Opera Mate,to be precise.
We could also move our bishop to f7 on move 2 which attacks the Queen.
But,we want the Big fish(King) not the small fish (Queen)
What id night blocks?
@@tanner9887 Double attack from 2 lines (rook and bishop) can't be blocked. Kd8 is the only legal response
yeah I miss the mate line...
Nice.. really beautiful 😍
@Kondeti Praneet yeah but it won't cause checkmate
This is such a powerful segment. Just one of these solutions is worth watching the entire video for, but there are many of them. Thank you !
Really love your videos, especially the way you explain things! I have been learning different tricks and traps from you and using it in various games. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work :)
Puzzle solution:-
We do the incredible queen sacrifice Qc8+.
He has to take with king, Kxc8. Then Be6+. This is a double check so Kd8 is forced and finally Rc8# ends the game.
I recently just found out. This mating pattern is known as Opera Mate. Jeetendra Sir made a video on this and this puzzle is an example in that video.
I didn't understand can you please explain
@@sanchaysstudio9471 Sure. When you do Qc8+, it is forced for black to take the queen. So he does Kxc8. After that because of Be6+, white gives a double check. So black has to move the king away and so Kd8 is forced. Then we finish off with Rc8#
@@suyashkarnad5391 *black
@@suyashkarnad5391 Thanks😊
@Rudraksh Rudraksh Bhai lekin bishop ko move karoge toh woh hamari queen ko capture karega, dhyan se dekho
My brother defeated me last night using this video. And now I am here for some counterplay 😅
welcome comrade i was defeated using this cause i had no idea what the opponent was playing so i was like this is boring i resigned
😀😀
Man same here
@@darthvader7642 yea
Same here😂
Thank you so much for this great tutorial, it helped me win right away, very fun
There are 2 sacrifices in this puzzle:
1. The Queen Sacrifice: We play Qc8+ Kxc8 is forced then we play Be6+ its a double check with the rook and the bishop Kd8 is forced then Rc8#
2. The Bishop Sacrifice:We play Ba6 if he takes the bishop then Rc8# or Qc8#
Both of them works but 1st one is better as all of its moves are forced
yea but if he takes bishop with knight then plan 2 fails
@PRITHVI SINGH PANWAR okay man🤝
perfect❤
Also he can trade queens first and then take the bishop as well
Second one doesn't rly work, and first one will ofc be better cause it's forced checkmate
Hahaha, the way he smoothly says "We don't care about the queen"
What an absolute unit of a Chad!
1. Qc8 , Kc8
2. Be6 (double check), Kd8
3. Rc8 (check-mate)
Well done
or
Bf7, Qf7
Qc8 checkmate
@@dhrutvikgavit9361 What if Bxf7 Qxg4?
Probably my favorite strategy you have posted. Definitely have to give it a try

most satisfying line -

"The knights are going to do some weird tiktok dance"
-wise words of Eric Rosen

So pleasing to hear him explain. Just love it
He's really good at explaining things
@@Noid11111 ya
The best move for white is a mind-blowing Queen Sacrifice that is Qc8 kxc8 Be3+ Kd8 and finally, rc8 is a checkmate. Nice puzzle :-)
great video and some of these traps are quiet funny.
thanks!!!
You're the secretary of explaining stuff. Thanks for what you do.
By the way Qc8 is winning because after Qc8 it is forced for black to take then Be6 it's a double check so king move back and Rc8 is a win
Same
@HxH he means he got the same solution mr. genius
👍
Great
Same 😃
1. Qc8+
2. Kxc8
3. Be6+(double check)
4. Kd8 is the only possibly move
5. Rc8+# is the check mate
I've been waiting for a your video your chess traps are. So amazing i am a big fan of yu
The more I watch his videos..I the more I'm loving this game
Qc8 Kxc8 Be6 Kd8 Rc8 And that's a beautiful checkmate
4:37 This king is completely naked😂😂🤣

PUZZLE :
Qc8 is the best move for white. Kxc8 is a forced move After kxc8 be6+ There is a double check for black. So, king kd8 .then Rc8 is a mate.
There is a mate in 2 :
Bishop to d3 , pawn takes ( if not black queen is gone) then white queen to c8
@@salaheddinelairgi4289 yes but it is not as good since it is not a force mate, black can escape this but if you play queen c8 black cannot escape
@@salaheddinelairgi4289 As Black I would go
.. qxg4, fxg4 exd3
I not only avoided mate but also gained a full bishop
@@salaheddinelairgi4289 No, he takes our queen with his queen instead of taking the bishop

Been waiting for another new chess opening!!
Thank you!! (:
Well done; thank you!
Thanks for explaining this opening. I tried playing this in a tournament but i had no clue of this opening and i lost a winning position. Also answer for puzzle is Qc8+ kxc8 Be6+ Kd8 Rc8#
Edit. Also many in comments are saying moves like ba6 or bf7. Those dont work because black trades queen. You have to make forcing moves like Qc8+ to win
Old type of typical chess talk videos are back one more time. Thanks ♥️
Ah yes, another typical chess talk match using smart moves
Popular lines goes as follows
This channel should have been in my suggestions WAY earlier. Amazing stuff
"Then he can pack his bags and go home". Your narration is getting more and more funny and interesting day by day 🤣. Keep up 👍
I loved it when he said 'Then we will pick up this horsy as well'
5:55 goodbye mr. knight😂😆

Thank you for telling such type of traps
I love the statement when he says if he takes the pawn then he is gone .
Can you please give a heart please

I've been meaning to expand my repertoire for openings as white, might give this a shot. Thanks!
Your my favorite chess educator so far.
seems amazing specially for blitz
4:11 He makes chess playful!!
Puzzle answer: Qc8+ forcing Kxc8 Be5+ it’s a double check with the rook. Ke8 Rc8#
Great tips.... I always focus on capturing the queen but like you said go after the big fish 😄
7:20
Solution:
1: Qc8+!!, Kxc8
2: Be6++, Kd8
3: Rc8#
Best demonstration ever in Chess...love this absolutely
Very good!!, thanks for sharing!!, congartulations!!
I’m sure this tactic has been solved by now but I just now came across your video, which was awesome by the way. Qc8 is forced mate
Q c8 check, king takes( only legal move), bishop to e6 double check ( again only legal move for king is to go back in d8 square), then R to c8 is a beautiful checkmate
If he keep knight c6 means
You could also sacrifice your bishop on d3, and then after he takes with the pawn, queen c8 and that's checkmate
@@BennyGvlogs Yeah, but black could castle instead of taking the bishop
This is a valuable resource on youtube for people who take chess seriously. I learnt so much from here.. his way of analysis is quiet structured and he tries to uncover all the possibilities for a specific strategy... You can definitely take your game to the next level if you follow him.
