Great video dude. ATX have done a great job with that! Looks a great machine for a garage/homegym. I’ve been a fan of the vertical leg press since being able to do them on my ironmaster im2000.
Great Video Matt. I won't get anywhere near that mate with my old knees! When someone tells me that they can't load enough weight on a machine, I just say start counting the reps when you start struggling. Learnt that off Lee Priest
Makes sense. Good advice from Lee 👍👍. ATX's initial estimate was so low at 250kg, but 350kg I'd say is still conservative and they're being more mindful of how much weight you'll actually fit with normal plates. I remember brands stating heavy load capacities and you'd never be able to fit them all on 🤪. I included the VLP in a proper legs session yesterday and 140kg for 30-reps for 3-sets worked best for me. I felt no need to go heavier and the reps felt decent at this weight. I wouldn't ever train at the 320kg we worked up to - that was only an experiment and the reps weren't great either. Just wanted to answer the question 😂. Matt
@@gym_professor 320kg with a base depth of about 120cm is very impressive for a leg machine. When you are tight on space I can't think of any options that would fit in this space that would be better.
@@samlucas4003 it's a solid choice for any home gym or even a PT studio. I'd be happy keeping it in the gym, but we will put something else up to play with 👍👍
@@gym_professoranother leg piece? I m still looking for a last leg machine in my homegym the atx compact belt squat , a compact leg press or a vertical lp , what is your fav.?U might ve used all of em
@@rexcolt7203 hi, I have used all of them. Personally, I think I favour the VLP, then CLP, then belt squat from 1st to 3rd in that respective order. I'm probably not the norm though, as most will probably choose the reverse order. Sales-wise, it's certainly the reverse order. Hope this helps 👍👍

Thanks for the feedback and glad you like the look of it, too! 👍👍
