I think the timing of becoming eligible for US social security is another consideration, as it is all or nothing until you work 10 years in the US. If someone is in the 8th or 9th year, it might make sense to extend a bit more to become eligible. Even if one gets $10K per year from social security, the equivalent corpus-value of the $10K applying the 4% rule is $250K in today's dollars. Thanks again for the good content!
Thanks for reaching out. What specific question or topic you have in mind for OCI folks moving to India. We covered this on how it works for OCI in some videos.
It’s never late. Has your son been to India regularly and excited about the move. Language - should be ok in IB, IGCSE and some CBSE schools offers spanish/french etc if he is comfortable with it.
@DesiReturn thanks a lot for your response. Feel so positive. Yes I used to take kids to India every two years once and yes my both kids are very happy with moving to India.

Hello Sir, love watching your sessions. Some great insights and tips. Currently work for a private company. Have been living overseas in different countries for about 30 years. Age over 60. Is it possible to continue working over 60 years of age in India or do we have to retire when we are 60. Would like to continue working as long as we can. Currently we are planning to permanently move to India in the next year or so. Appreciate your response. Thank you
You NRIs want to return most likely because it is no longer lucrative in the West. It's just the money factor!!!, so on social media don't boast about giving back to India.. Because you have not!!! In fact it's the opposite.
@@SingaporeBuilds it's not being positive or negative, just stay honest!!, Sach kadvaa hotaa hai. Let your name remain SingaporeBuilds, it should not become BharathBuilds
I agree with you on some part. Yes a lot of people sacrificed 10 to 20 years to live abroad far from families, friends and especially our hometown. People need to gauge this emotional aspect while criticizing NRIs. After all everyone needs money. After spending a lot of years and gained financially stability or freedom it’s fine to come back to India for good. Common cut some slack for NRIs . There are few percentage of people who genuinely wanted to do good for country especially after gaining some Knowledge by staying in abroad
What's your problem if people decide to come back to their own country for whatever reason . Do you own, lndia? Lots of people from western countries are moving to the countries they think will be better for them. You are no one to decide for others as to where they live.
