Taigun is loved on UA-cam. Vitara and Hyryder in actual sales. 😅 surprisingly the suspensions of slavia and Virtus are better than Kushaq and Taigun.
VW 2000 sells taiguns every month along with around 2000 Kushaq… 4000 units per month is a good number

I own the Hyryder Hybrid Top variant. And I must say the car is excellent. On highways I normally cruise with 100+ and it's very smooth.
It's giving me a tank to tank mileage of 23/24 km/l which is exceptional.
The "Power" modes gives turbo kinda feel.
What was the reasoning behind picking the Hyryder? Looks, features or mileage?

@@sa34w nobody buys them for resale coz these cars lasts forever if u take care of them use recommended fuel and use genuine parts then these cars never disappoint. and for ur kind info I have 1.2mpi polo, gt tsi purchased last year and jetta 1.4 tsi 7 years old none of my car ever failed mechanically just regular services and mandatory parts changed that’s it . Yes their parts are somewhat expensive then the competition but they lasts longer too and 90% replaceable parts are straight out audi so u can imagine the quality not like ur ordinary tin ka dabba maruti rebadged as Toyota 🤣

True. Every buyer is not a fan of sunroof. Its just a fancy feature and never adds any value to the car. In fact, sunroofs are not even sufficient to protect occupants from small shooting stones in mountain roads.
We are in India not in Europe; we don't need sun inside our cars we need our cars cool inside it's a useless feature

And the finally, the value for money VW car you can buy today.

If you want fuel efficiency,why buy a 23L car? Save 11L and get a Kiger turbo CVT. Far better boot space,good useable features like wireless Android auto (no gimmicks like a sunroof),and much better driving performance than the Hyryder.
Similar amount of space,and actually,better headroom,too.
Use that 11L for fuel, instead.

Sir strong hybrid is toyota platform and miid hybrid or smart hybrid is maruti platform. Strong hybrid has been given to maruti from toyota so if u compare the price with toyota its high in maruti.
I owned Hyryder Hybrid. my Friend has Taigun… Truely speaking when you sit in Hyryder you actualy feel u are sitting in SUV and comfort… i sit in Taigun it was like Sedan only and somwwhat compact space, no feel of SUV…

@Lashiv b 🤣🤣...so you are comparing a cars safety with a bike and trying to say that if you own a VW then you shouldn't take it away from the city where it's showroom is ...I have taken my Polo to Jalori pass at more than 10000 feet in rainy season ..didn't face a single issue..it's all about quality of the car ...good quality cars don't break down easily ...it's not a Maruti as I said in whose case bike's have proven to be better built than the car
based on current fuel price, Cost/km of Hyryder is ~4.3INR/km, whereas Taigun is ~6INR/km.
Hyryder is more value for money.
VW too has many cost cutting features into their cars. VW in India are no more solid build as earlier models
But Taigun offers lot of smile while driving and not only 5🌟 in NCAP, its the highest scorer also

@@praveenpgec you won't get good resale value on the Hyryder ,either. Because of the battery pack's drain over time. The mileage will drop,too. Then you'll have no choice but to replace it by spending lakhs.
@@umairarifshaikh5095 hey brother...thta battery pack is max 2-3kwh. Not a 50 kwh battery...max it will cost 50K to replace, that too after 8 years (hopefully batteries will be cheaper) just in case it damages...
Vw service centers seem to lack qualified engineers to work on these German cars, there is a post on team bhp forum, where a vw car owner had horrible time with this car after service , idk how the service is now, Germans make excellent engines which are complex for your average mechanic,one has to be super qualified to work on these engines

I agree that Looks are subjective, but Hyrider’s looks are unexciting and just not to my liking, so I’d not pick it irrespective of its superior mileage, better features and more premium interiors.

What happens when a lorry rear ends a hybrid car, our fiesta got rear ended by an amature driving polo, will the battery pack experience any deformation resulting in a puncture?? or the damage wont be reaching battery pack.
No, the battery pack is placed about 50 cm from the rear end. Also, the rear end is made collapsible, so it prevents the shock from reaching the interiors of the car. Provided, you don't apply an aftermarket rear bumper, if you do that's unsafe.

I wanted a family car for 5, 70% city 30% highway.. so far have driven 8.5k
Best automatic in city, 25 kmpl very silent under 60 speed, ride and handling top notch, excellent on highway too 22kmpl for speed 110-120. Engine gets bit vocal on sudden acceleration as it's 3 cylinder n CVT but no lack of power. Hope it's atleast 4.5 star on safety. Overall it's a very Practical car for Indian conditions n enjoying hybrid for sure. Toyota service, customer care, resale good too.
Cons for me - 1. Compromised boot space
2. Thin sunroof blinder
3. Key could have been better

Those features will increase the price of the car by around 3 lakh . Even many cars priced thrice don’t have adaptive cruise control and 360 camera.
It doesn’t make sense to spend so much on this segment of car.

How much Toyota might have saved by omitting fog lamps. Which has its own purpose and use. That single pod headlight look weak.
Nobody buys vw...only those who don't know about car manufacturing and engineering buy them. They are seeing decreasing sales even in Europe..which is their last bastion. Their cars are plagued with faults, malfunctions, engine errors, parts failing, cars stalling. You find these 'safe' cars parked safely in service centres and garages. They are safe because they are not on the road.

Depends on what you’re looking for in a car. Taigun is more powerful and feels a lot better on the highways. Hyryder is docile but comfortable and returns great fuel economy with more features.

You mentioned the AC issue. Has the AC issue been resolved in Taigun? I have delayed the booking of 1.0 Taigun just for the AC issue
There is no issue in AC. I own a kushaq , I heard same on it. The AC of these cars is pretty different . The temperature sensor is optimized to measure overall cabin temperature. If I keep ac at 23 , suzuki swidt gives much cooler air than kushaq but if you measure overall distribution, it makes sense

Well one is for driving enthusiast with some issues here and there, the other is a family car best to seat not on the driving seat and enjoy ride and has peace of mind factor.
Both better than the competition, even the Grand Vitarra.
And please do not bring Xuv 700, Harrier and Scorpio N, those who are choosing these two are looking for compact cars.

Its not about mileage. Its about future proofing with the hybrid.
You didn't mention the brakes. I drive a Taigun GT+ and brakes are really powerful, gives me the confidence to drive in bumper to bumper traffic as well as on highway cruise. The only annoying feature is the auto start-stop. Even if you disable it, the moment you park your car, it comes back. Does this feature hurt the engine/ignition while in bumper to bumper traffic?
Hyrider comes with all 4 disc. The TVS brakes on VWs sucks, you will get to know as you pile on Kms

Toyota and Maruti are making fool of Indians because of their so called 'reliability' status. I can't imagine a 20L + car giving a torque of 120NM? Lol, even my 10 year old polo did better comparing it's weight. Waiting for hyryder's NCAP rating if Toyota ever dares to do that. Will be glad if it scores at least 2 star.

Taigun not worth 22l because offering a lot less, do not need Adas, but 360 cam, ventilated seats and panoramic sun roof were musts at this price.
Hyrider strong hybrid performance is lot less, and doesn’t come with Awd, the one that comes with Awd has Brezza engine which is even more powerless.
Both the cars should have been 18l on-road only.

Hyryder/Grand Vitara makes a very strong case for it's base variant and Top variant. Remaining all variants looks heavily overpriced.
At roughly 12 lakhs on road price(Delhi-NCR) for base variant you get almost everything in the car which other cars of this segment gives in 14-15 lakhs price bracket. In Top variant you get a decent engine with loaded Kit and a real world average which even give diesels a run for it's money.
I think the second top variant of Hyryder is more value for money compared to the top end model because of a significantly lesser price with only a few minor features removed.
