The video provides step by step instructions, but here are a few reminders for you:
You must be administrator of both pages that you’d like to merge. If you have just been added as an administrator, you will have to wait 7 days before you can take action to merge pages together. You cannot merge a group and a page together. You also cannot merge a personal account with a page.
Under settings, go to Merge Pages.
Identify the 2 pages you’d like to merge.
Keep in mind that:
You can only request a merge if you're an admin for both Pages.
The Pages you merge must represent the same thing and have similar names. If you try to merge Pages that aren't similar, the Pages may be permanently unpublished.
Merging Pages can't be undone once you've started the process.
People who like the duplicate Page will be informed of the merge. This may take a few days to complete.
Content from the merged Page, such as posts, photos and the username, will be deleted during the merge.Learn how to download and save your Page content
Likes and check-ins from both Pages will be combined and shown on the remaining Page.
4. Identify the page you want to keep.
5. It will take up to 7 days to merge the two pages together.

Hi there, I was wondering when you merge pages if the organizations that the old page, or the page that you are merging into the page you are keeping, if the organizations that they are following on Facebook transfer over to the new page? Or do you have to re-follow all organizations they have followed? Thank you.

Hi I have a problemin this last step with ''request merge''. The pages have similar names. But when I want to request the merge, it's shows that they have exactly the same name.....but they don't have it's just similar...What should I do??

Is there any why to merge without loosing the content of both the page? It's say data page content will be gone so is there option to backup first both page then merge then restore missing data/content ?

Im waiting more than 14 days for my two pages to be merged...They have almost the same name and they are both photography related, I didn't receive any email from Facebook so far and when I try to request a new merge, I got a message that my previous request has still not been proceed. Anyone else with the same problem?

thank you for the tutorial and using a yellow cicle, which made following you much helpful. Question. I have two pages. Page #1 and Page #2. And I like the content. posts, etc of the #1 but the name of #2. Which way should I merge? And if I have to let go of #2 to retain content, and merge into Page #1, can I change the name of #1 to the page name #2?
Anna-Marie Termini I would suggest keeping the page where the content is best - so page #1. You should eventually be able to switch your name, but it might take a bit for FB to recognize that Page #2 is gone...

hi would it be better for me to open a new page and merge it with the old page as all i really want to do is change the name which i have requested now 12 times and nothing ever happens, so i think merging the old and new page is the only way i can do it .also will i keep all my albums /pictures from my old page if i merge it with my new one thank you

christine harrison had the same problem, what i did was keep the first name and changed the last name with the page i wanted to merge with and then they approved. after that i also changed the first name matching the one i want to merge the page with n after that i merged them
I have had this happen to me too! Check the number of followers. This should be different for each page. When confirming which page to keep, I have just selected the one that I know has the right number of followers and have been fine. The profile pictures are also usually accurate. It must be a Facebook glitch that happens with some pages.
Merging could be a solution. You can also appeal name change rejections in your Facebook notifications. I've gotten responses back from FB on name rejections and if you follow the stream, you can appeal.
You also asked about albums. Once you merge pages, all content is lost (except from the page you keep). You can download it into a folder - but it doesn't stay on the new page.
curious, it used to be that FB had a drop box as to which page you wanted to keep, now i dont' see that anymore. they give you a simple choose which pages you'd like to merge, how the hell do you know which to do? I want to keep one and merge another into it so what the hell is the procedure, it's not like you can make heads or tails out of which one is going to be kept and which one is being merged now
EXAMPLE:
I have a page I want to merge into another page. Do I use the page I want to keep then go to merge pages or go to the page I want to get rid of and then merge page into the one I want to keep, very frustrating

How about merge pages? I try doing that & when I merge pages this is what I get.
These Pages can't be merged because there is already a pending request to merge Carlos Sims. You must wait for this request to be resolved before trying again.
I'm an admin on both pages too, what would you do if you got that same message?
And how long it take to merge pages? Mine been like this for a week & still has not merged.
It been a week now.
It took a full week when I merged the pages. I think you'll have to avoid requesting any additional merges for a full 7 days before trying again. If it were me, I would wait a full 10 days and then try again.
This is why I wish Facebook at least gave me some type of email notification or support inbox message of the merge & not trying to request again but I will just wait 10 days & not request. Thanks for letting me know.

I tried merging but it said the names were too different, even though they were very similar, so I changed them both to the same name but then it says there's already a request for the merge, and you have to wait for it until it resolves, what do I do?
Eden Odisho you have to wait - it is such a pain! Sometimes we end up just deleting one of the pages.

if I merge a page with 100 like with another that has 700 will it show 800 when the merge is complete?
It takes few hours to show but yes you correct. Friends list & subscribe will turn into 800 likes.
Yes - it may take up to 1 week - but the total fans will combine as long as they were different people on each page. If I originally liked both pages, you won't count me twice. Does that make sense?

Nichole Evans you can merge more than 2 pages, but only 2 at a time.
Looks like you have a fake admin there which is against FB policy. Unless Rocky Robin is a real person?
