    Did you guys ever notice that a lot of people in the comment section seem to be proud to live in "harder" cities than those shown on Charlie's videos? Like, why is it a competition for so many people to prove they live in a shittier environment? Is it because the victim mentality has gotten so popular? Or are people just so proud of their home town that they're blinded by how shitty it is?
    Just an observation I've made.

    Great Video,, its shows Niagara Falls for what it has become. A hole in the ground. But kids,, Niagara Falls when I grew up was a great town in the 50s and 60s. We had so many tourists from all around coming in from NYC and Buffalo. The Trains station was right at 3rd and Falls street. Than it was a short walk to the Falls. Side walks weren't large enough for all the tourist.So your town was once prosperous, at that time there was no ghetto, it seemed like every one had a job. But after a few large industrial plants went out of business and the trains left,,, shit went down hill. I feel privilege to remember those good years. Sorry you are stuck in NF. I left for Vegas...and they to have their hoods. From all the people who came here trying to make it rich are now on the streets. Vegas will eat you up,, and dont care where you land. I wish I had a Answer for NF,.... but it would take billions to clean that city up... and more to Clean up my Buffalo Bills. Lost the first preseason game today. New rookie QB,, every 4 years,, oh yea rebuilding years,, for the last 20 years,,,, still my home team for bad or good. Come on Bills get it together,,,, some day

    I visited Niagara Falls and after walking around the entire park in a couple of hours and all the excitement had settled, I suddenly realized that there was actually nothing to do and nothibg to see appart from half empty stores with not good food and a bunch of empty souvenir shops. Then I decided to gead to the train station and get a return ticket back to NYC. I could have taken the bus but decided to walk instead. What a walk was that: empty neighborhoods, not fresh cars and lots of poorly maintained houses with some abandoned falling houses in between. All this while I was wandering to myself: What do these people do around here? The only businesses I noticed working was a hair shop, gas station, chinese spa center, some bars and a hotel. The train station was empty and the earliest one was the next day early morning. I got back to Niagara Park which by this tine looked like the only maintained place with some normal folks taking pictures and drinking coffees. Spent the remaining day there and at night took my bus to NYC.

      @gr ve Yeah..but we don't have depressed, run down, dilapidated and abandoned areas in Canada the same way you do. The Canadian side of Niagara Falls is vibrant, fresher, newer, funner, safer, a great tourist destination with family entertainment, casinos, restaurants, hotels and the best view of the falls. At least our government spends on something that is going to benefit the citizens. Your goofball prez spends your tax paid dollars on building some stupid wall to keep out foreign women and children because of some misconception that they will hurt him---Ooohhh!!! instead of him dealing with your own unemployment, poverty, healthcare and the availability of human killing AK-47's and guns murdering your citizens every single fucking day of your fucking unsafe lives. Do you even know what socialism is you muther farkin arse wipe?

    • @dougd1598
      @dougd1598 4 роки тому

      @gr ve Its mutually beneficial as Canada is US biggest export destination. Also I do disagree with some of government policies and involvement. But at the end of the day most have a good quality of life and its safe. As with healthcare its the same thing we all pay for it just not at point of use. You hate the taxes but its obvious the benefits it has on our society. Something like a rising tide lifts all boats.

      I live in Rochester and I disagree when you say Rochester is as bad as Niagara Falls. Rochester has some good paying jobs. I've been to Niagara Falls many times to go to Seneca Niagara in the visit the city of Niagara Falls and the main thing the Niagara Falls doesn't have is jobs. I've driven around the Falls many times and you get a sense from the people that did they're depressed that there's no hope and it's a cycle of drugs and poverty. If there were more jobs let alone decent paying jobs I believe the city would be better off.

    • @raymondp.kotiiesq.5934
      @raymondp.kotiiesq.5934 3 роки тому

      @@eaanyills I would not brag about any city in Upstate New York. Rochester is no longer the cherry on top of a sundae, but Buffalo never was. Rochester's achievement is largely based upon past accomplishments of major companies like Kodak which no longer exists in meaningful form and Xerox which has been heavily challenged by foreign competitors that offer less expensive and more reliable products (you don't need a service contract or a service man in your office every month for most Canon products). Bousch and Lomb moved its headquarters to New Jersey and many of the highest paid employees with it. Buffalo never had major fortune 1000 headquarters (only one I believe). Buffalo was known for the blood, sweet and tears that went into its blue collar industries. Now that the New World Order / Globalism is in full swing, Buffalo cannot claim much manufacturing prowess either.

    Niagara Falls, NY has rough areas just like any other city in America, but there's also beautiful and clean neighborhoods there too. It's not really all that dangerous there as long as you keep your nose clean. At least not to me, because I grew up in Rochester. It is desolate due to losing half its population as a result of jobs moving out and the Love Canal disaster. Also, the powers that were had failed to capitalize more on tourism like Canada did. With that said, I still love Niagara Falls, NY and I'd live there if given the opportunity.

      HybridNirvana97 yea ok... Niagara Falls NY is now statistically more dangerous than Buffalo and Rochester. You can Google it. Dudes come to Niagara falls and visit 101st street and think that's the hood. Spend some summers in the mid or on 19th street or highland ave then come back and tell me how "nice" you think it is...

    • @dark_lyrics_channel
      @dark_lyrics_channel 6 років тому +1

      That's cute. Spend a few summer nights around Hudson and North Clinton Ave and then tell me how much more dangerous Niagara Falls is. And how about instead of complaining about it, do something to make it better. Clean up litter in your neighborhood, volunteer at a community center, be a good role model for people living in impoverished areas of Niagara Falls. If everyone stops giving a shit and accepts things the way they are, nothing will change.

    • @dark_lyrics_channel

The Roman Catholic population has dwindled, with most Catholic Churches having closed or combined with other Catholic Churches. While conducting the 2010 Census, a Roman Catholic Priest even when out of his way to explain to me that the city is dead. He kept pointing in every direction and saying "it is dead, it is dead, it is dead." I believe the poor Priest was near the end of his ropes being assigned to a church in a dying neighborhood without much of a future.

It isn't nearly as bad as this video makes it look. The 19th Street area is a little seedy and a small part of the Highland Ave area as well. But that's it. The rest of the city is totally clean, quiet and safe. There are new gift shops and restaurants opening in the state park and arcades in Downtown Niagara. I loved my visit here and plan to return soon, and also move here.

      DrFunky4 The only place I didn't see was 13th and Falls Street, which is easily the worst part of Niagara Falls. I'll admit that part sucks. Other than that, I think it's just fine here. I've been to Highland, it ain't that bad. And I'm not sure what you mean by "the mid." I assume you mean the middle of town like Pine Ave, Niagara St, 16th-22nd. I've seen worse than that. And Lasalle is very nice, Hyde Park area is very nice, the neighborhoods on the north side close to Niagara University are pretty decent. I guess my definition of safe is different than yours. Whatever. You're a rude, nasty person and I'm glad you moved to the Canadian side. The less negative people like you they have in Niagara Falls, the better.

      HybridNirvana97 you in for a HELLA serious rude awakening. Dudes spend 20 minutes in the hood and think it's sweet. First of all the mid is Ontario ave to Ashland ave from 11th Street to 18th street, now the border is 22nd street. That shows you know very little about the falls. Niagara Street and 18th and ferry and walnut are all known as the east. Highland is still a war zone after 30 years. 20 minutes at rtr doesn't prove anything. You better stay east of Hyde park Blvd for the rest of your life lol and even still you better lock all your doors and windows. I'll stop being mean to you. That's fine. But just know this. Bruh I warned you. That's not a threat that's a plea for your life.

      DrFunky4 I mean, don't you think that optimistic newcomers like myself are what Niagara Falls needs to become a better place?
