I really love the fact that this is a pretty good and very decent lap, instead of an unrealistic alien lap like 1:50:292. Appreciate the tips and the details
i know im randomly asking but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Huxley Hudson i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Yorkie, thank you for you content! I started sim racing recently and your channel has been awesome on helping to get my head around all of it. Your playlist on setups for PCARS2 helped to shine a lot of light into the matter, in a way that I feel carries reasonably well to other sims. Really can't wait to jump into ACC next week with the free weekend on Steam!
Got a race here in a couple days in a GT4. tutorial still applies, all be it breaking points change quite a bit. Thanks for The Best track guides on the planet.👍
love this series and this one was a massive help to me. I'm still not super fast, but I knocked 5 seconds off my Silverstone laptime after watching this yesterday & can still see areas to improve on. Most importantly, way more consistent now
Hey Yorkie. Another perfect track guide but I've come to expect nothing less. As far as weather or not I've gotten any faster after using your guides. You haven't done a track that I've done before seeing a video. I can tell you that after seeing your guide for Monza I did a 157 there. I hate Silverstone it messes with my head lol but after watching this video I'm gonna go at it again.
I've been watching all these track guide videos to try and reduce my lap times and I know the braking points and maximizing the track on entry and exit is key but I found myself very inconsistent still. I'm a lowly 2:00xx Nürburgring driver when I boot up the game but after a couple of laps I can do a mix of 2:00s and 1:59s but in an odd instance I miraculously hit a 1:57xx but I cannot repeat it to this day, even if I watch the replay over and over I just cant see what I did right in that lap. Recently something clicked when I tried to 0.25 speed one of your videos, I think acceleration "markers" are also critical and I don't think people who do track guides give their markers for picking up the throttle which can be very helpful for noobs like me. I watched a Nürburgring track guide somewhere and I paused the video on each corner looking for a marker where the driver starts picking up the throttle (e.g. turn two = right of yellow crane) and I not only improved my lap time but I can do 1:58.7s to 1.59.4s consistently now, still far away from alien times but having to shave off 2s from my lap time is a great success for me.
Typically the apex is where to start picking up the throttle. I would also advise to try and look at stuff that is in the direction of where you're going to help use as reference, as you should be looking as far down the track as you possibly can. Certainly playing the video in slow motion will help though when looking back at the hot lap. Glad you are starting to get there though with the lap time and started to bring it on down.
When you say Medium Downforce and Hard Suspension for the setup at the beginning, what does that mean? What are you changing in the setup to accomplish this?
Not hating just stating my opinion and the results of these track guides. Yours I find way more effective than Traxxion's. You go into way more detail and break down every corner so well. You even show how to get a few tenths out of pit entry and exit which can honestly make a huge difference in races. The braking graphics with the red zones helps a lot as well.
As ever Yorkie your content is great as usual. Like Brady below I too am counting down the days until 23 June, ACC Day, coming to a PS4 Pro near you! Until then I'm getting some practice in GT3 cars using PC2
I just find out sequential gears don't need a clutch to shift. Guess I was robbing myself of speed and taught myself to blip for no reason. Am I supposed to break with my left foot?
Nice I hope you do every track in ACC before I get it on PS4. Its good you put the downforce type, I normally search the internet for that information, without it how can you setup a car.👍🏿
Do you mean TrackIR that I use, or similar products? Or the look to apex stuff that is in-game? If the former, I would recommend it yes if you're looking for a bit more of an authentic experience and being able to increase your spatial awareness. For full authentic experience and you have the system to run it and it interests you, then get VR. As for the in-game stuff, it's not my personal taste but some people like it and find it useful.
Iam done. Iam finally awake. Today I uninstalled pc2. I can't believe I wasted 300 h of my life for this. Ams2, acc, ac, rfactor 2, raceroom. All this sims are so great. Everytime I try pc2 I get angry of the physics. Bugs. Etc... My dd1 fixes a little bit the ffb of this game. But even a dd1 can't do magic on this abomination. SMS have a lot to do if they want to be up to part with the big ones. If pc3 will be simcade again. Well.... We will see what our mighty Ian bell has to say about that. All we had heard about pc3 is pr bullshit. Like always. Sorry Yorkie. I like you. But I can't stand the games you worked on anymore.

One of the very best track guides out there !

Awesome! Glad to hear it has been a big help. Keep chipping away at it dude!
Thanks Yorkie, just started working Silverstone and this is a big help.
And we are back! God I'm looking forward to when this comes out on consoles. Counting down the days
You're a legend, this one is particularly hard to figure out on your own.
This a very clever way to improve your lap times and train right in the bulls eye. Thank you.
These are so helpful. It would be great to have one for Barcelona. Keep it up.
Superb content. Looking forward to Spa-Francorchamps, Hungaroring and Paul Ricard guides.
That's handy for Saturday 1000km challenge. I think I can see where I can improve now. Thanks Yorkie.
Silverstone is just 1 track I can’t get a good flow on. But going to put a few hours in today with this video right next to me. Thanks again
Hopefully you manage to find it as it is a track that flows very nicely once you get it.
Great, great, Great video editing! You can really tell you put a lot of work into this video.

I must admit I'm not a lover of flat race tracks either.
Hi Yorkie, thanks for your efforts, very good insight into what to do. I am a subscriber. cheers

Those are also higher tier maneuvers making it harder for people trying to learn silverstone

@yorkie065 I only see a few of the tracks. Do you have them for all? By the way, great guide. Appreciate the time that went into this.
Not yet no. I took an extended break during the series but will be continuing the remaining tracks very very soon.
Fantastic! Thanks! Great tips and wondefull! Avant! Don´t stop this serie. Do you have all track?
Great video! Like always!
I just find out sequential gears don't need a clutch to shift. Guess I was robbing myself of speed and taught myself to blip for no reason.
Am I supposed to break with my left foot?
Tks Yorkie, let's see if I can improve my lap time of 2.00 1:59 high
Nice I hope you do every track in ACC before I get it on PS4.
Its good you put the downforce type, I normally search the internet for that information, without it how can you setup a car.👍🏿
I doubt I will get all the way through, but obviously I won't be stopping the series until all tracks are done.
Very in-depth guide. This is an impossible track for me, turn 9 all the way through 13 is a real nightmare.
I can't wait to play this game on consoles. Unfortunately a gaming PC where I live is very expensive and I can't afford one ):
Quick question at what part of the red braking boxes do I need to look? Idk on which part of the box I need to brake
The start of them. They're basically highlighting the entire time that you should be braking for.
Great advice cheers
Hey man, great guide! Would you recommend the real head motion or whatever is called?
Do you mean TrackIR that I use, or similar products? Or the look to apex stuff that is in-game?

@@Yorkie065 alright, thanks. Keep it up with the quality content, this guides truly help us, noob players a lot!

Ta ta ta today junior, get into it already. Your intro is a 1/3 of your video

HATE this track
