For a minute I was frustrated that Buck forgave his parents quicker than he did Maddie, considering that when it comes to the family secret, they're so much more at fault than she is. But then I realized that the explanation Buck gave for it made total sense. You can't feel betrayed by someone if you never really trusted them to begin with, and that is the sad state of Buck's relationship with his parents. But Maddie practically raised Buck, she was the one constant in his life before he joined the 118 (as much as she also let him down by leaving twice), so to find out *she* lied to him cut much deeper. And like he says, he knows she won't abandon him no matter how much he lashes out at her, so that could've played a part in his reaction without even realizing it. (Granted, he lashed out at the parents too during the second family dinner, but I think that was him reaching his limits and losing self-control for a moment.)
Buck and Maddie have the up most best sibling relationships ever. Even when it was tough on them, the family and even with Doug. They always had each other, even they were apart. I am hoping that when Maddie and Chimney's daughter is born, they'll make Buck the god father and that would be a huge honor for him.
Facts they would of make him godfather if he was just her bestfriend plus he is a firefighter which makes them brothers so in any event buck would of been a uncle
They got each other through the most difficult times of their lives and saved each other more than once. They are each other's big (platonic) love story.
And the part where he says that she only had two suitcases when she ran away from Doug. She barely had enough room for all of the stuff she needed, but there was no way in hell she was leaving these postcards behind. Awww.
