- Hello I am Suzanne, I am a small scale flower farmer and florist located in Devon in the Uk zone 8B.
I grow on a small cut flower plot of 16 square metres, and also have a cottage style garden.
I grow my flowers to sell predominantly as pre ordered retail bouquets and also provide florals for small events.
I grow without the use of chemicals, and try to garden in away that benefits nature.
My channel is very casual and low tech with all filming and editing being done by myself, content is a real mix of both gardening, cut flower production and floristry.
In this video I am sowing my biennial cut flower seed.
If you would like to support my channel and help me fund my camera and microphone for filming you can now buy me a coffee by following this link www.buymeacoff.... Thank you 🌸
Thank you Suzanne ,Ill be following your advice and get sowing later today 🪻
Happy growing 🌸
Oh dear… now I have the urge to do some seed shopping and sowing. Lots of excellent information, thank you! PS- hope you are feeling better.
Thank you 🌸 I have already been looking at more perennial seed 🙈
I may not speak for everyone, but I honestly get so much from the relatable content on pesky rabbits and slugs etc undoing some of your hard work. By keeping it real, but also dealing with it so gracefully you truly help me be more accepting of my lost battles in the garden. I just dont see a lot of that being shared online, or in real life where neighbors lean on pesticides and poison so casually.
Twas so cool to see the Zinnias root so nicely, I'm going to do that to some prettier varieties of mine today. Thanks for the tip!
Sorry to hear you've returned from a vacation feeling sick instead of relaxed and rested, wishing you a speedy recovery. While it's hard to leave the garden behind in the middle of the season, it sure is delightful to come back to it and see all the new growth and blooms, so in a way it's worthwhile every now and then :)
What an incredibly kind comment, such inspiring feedback, great to know I’m on the right track for you with my content. I really am hoping to feel better by the weekend as the jobs list is piling up again, I’ve got to pull myself together for work today.
All my non gardening friends always make comments along the line of can’t you just spray them with something, no thoughts of the consequences.
Good luck with your Zinnias, I may do another batch at the weekend. Happy growing 🌸
Thank you, Suzanne! I really enjoy your videos. 💐I love your hair and rosie cheeks!
Very kind thank you 😊
I planted Lupin seeds this Spring and didn't do anything (soak or scrape) Had over ninety percent success rate ...Same with Nasturtiums so don't know if it is an Old Wifes Tale ! Hope you are feeling better.....😊
Yes probably, I should have tried out all of the methods to see if it made any difference. I’m really hoping to feel better soon, I’m trying to get myself together for work, would definitely prefer to go back to bed. Happy growing 🌸
Get well soon xx
Thank you Hannah 🌸
I hope you feel better soon. I just sowed some foxgloves, sweet williams, honesty and sweet rocket. But instead of in seed tray and modules ( I've run out!) I'm using milk jugs. Hopefully this will work well for me.
Seeds like the milk jugs, they like the deeper compost, so I am sure you will have huge success and a great selection 🌸
Do you put your biennial seeds in the green house or just leave outside? Love your videos 😊
Hi Debbie, I leave mine outside and that’s where they currently are, but the weather was so awful last night,I’m actually thinking about moving them in, I will give it a day or two to decide. Thanks for your comment 🌸
Thanks Suzanne 😊

Thank you, my broken iPad screen is a total nightmare, I’m always missing letters, but I hadn’t noticed that one 🙈
Can the daucus be sown now?
Lots of people grow Daucus as a biennial, and many seed packets refer to its a biennial, I usually sow mine in September, but I thought I would try it as a biennial as the packet suggests, but I have not sown it in July before. 🌸
@@stemsbysuzanne ooh maybe I’ll give it a go then
