First is the newest Haaland is actually great, I had problem with him in the past, but now the English league selection one has great acceleration(90) and much better balance(69). I don’t dribble with tight possession with him much, more a target man. Second is I’m a firm believer Pep’s sector overload theory, so basically you focus on one side of the pitch and the opponent had to shift players to that side to respond. Then the “ignored” side becomes empty, and you actually finds space/opportunity in the weak side. In my team, i leave all dribbling to Messi, Cruyff, and De Long(thus Zakaria and Haaland on left, all grit and speed), and I actually creates opportunities for Haaland to lurk behind, but the true danger is actually Cruyff, who will turn a bad pass into a wordie consistently. For someone who is not that great with dribbling, I went 2:4 with no.7 of the world yesterday, so I believe it’s good stuffs.
