  • Learn how to fold Origami Tree - Hướng dẫn gấp cây (đế mẫu chim cú mèo trong video #5)
Model designed by me - Hoang Tien Quyet.
This tree is the base for the owl in tutorial #5.
From 1 uncut square of paper. Size 20x20cm results a 20cm high model.
If you fold it, please upload your models to my Facebook(link below) or Instagram with harshtag #HTQuyet, so I will know it.
Recommend paper: Thick paper (weight from 120gsm), like watercolour paper, such as Canson, Arches, Fabriano.
For me to do better videos in the future, all your comments and suggestions are welcome!

+philbx1973 :D , I want to do more wet-folding videos, but maybe I will need a video to introduce about this technique first, which is hard... Phew!

I have some lovely elephant hide that'll look great for that...
When you find the fibers was it so you could fold with them? Does that make the crease hold better? I've never heard of it before!

+Andy Sutton Yes, it does, especially for simple models or wet-folding.
When you fold a paper, you can see that there is one way it's easier to fold than the other way. That easier fold goes along the fibers, and it's good to follow that, because it damages the fibers less, and creases hold better.
Uhm... it's hard for me to explain that in English, but I hope you understand :)

That makes perfect sense thank you! I hadn't considered it but I'll certainly be keeping that in mind with any new models I fold/design from now on!
I hope I get to see many more videos from you, I'm a long time fan! :)

+Ái Linh Quan Hic, mình là con trai. Mẫu này là gấp ướt, gấp thường không bắt buộc phải xịt nước.
