1. Use the whole 2 quarts start up let idle 60 seconds then check oil that way oil filter will fill up. 2. Take off fill plug first on front diff that way you can verify the level is correct and you have no leaks . 3. Hand tighten oil filter and remove with wrench. 4. Not much torque is needed on drain and fill plugs, they actually seal with o-rings. Plugs are soft metal there is a danger of stripping. 5. When putting on lugs use torque wrench. 27ft lbs for steel wheels and 30 ft lbs for aluminum wheels
Nice video, it helped me out! Thanks taking the time to film it. One observation…damn there is little room to get at the oil filter, I decided to “invest” in the Polaris oil filter wrench, picked up on Amazon for $12. It could be that my mitts are just too damn big :-)
What’s nice about maintaining your Sportsman is the the simplicity of it all and how Polaris has all the products readable available. Also I have over 3000 KM’s on my 2017 570 Touring EPS and still have a lot of break pad left. With Polaris Engine breaking I almost never use my brakes! Great videos btw, I’m adding a 2022 Sportsman 570 trail to my garage, ordered it 2 weeks ago!
@@habsfan9693 oh, ok! I appreciate the response! Congrats though! When inquiring about different vehicles and asking probably one too many questions lol I did find that the polaris Service techs in my local shop specifically advise to NOT ride at low speeds on trails in high gear on the RZR so maybe something to ask about for the ranger I'm not sure if they use the same clutches or not. But they say in the Rzr it'll burn up the clutch so they advise to Make sure to ride low speeds in low gear and kick it in to high when you wanna get up and go.
Great over all vid, however you made me cringe when you used your "Impact" to tighten your drain plug, id never do that. I always tighten those by hand, nothing like the real feeling of how tight something is or isnt..... :) thanks for the video brother!!! Northwestren New Brunswick Canada!
You do not ever use and impact driver to re-install the oil drain plug. The case is aluminum and it will strip out the threads if you use the slightest bit too much torque.
Why didn’t you grease the wheel bearings while you had the tires off? Polaris is notorious for not greasing the bearings nearly enough. 3 of my 4 were basically dry, the 4th had only a touch of grease.
My only thing I would suggest doing is getting a pre filter from Polaris. I think they are only $15. You can wash and reuse them. I installed one on my 22. You have to order one for a older model 570 though because the newer models don’t have one listed
What did you do to get the front gear case fill hole bolt out? I am trying to do mine now and the bracket for my front brush guard is in the way. I am ready to pull my hair out lol.
I did this one my 570 about a month ago. And bow am second guessing myself ordering the 450s kit. On the demand drive fluid you still had alot left in the qt correct?
Putting some oil in the filter, Like You, I think is a good thing. Just keep in mind when you go filling the motor with rest of the oil, You hold back a little to allow for what you put in the oil filter, As to not over fill it.

Great detail and very helpful to see someone working in the same home garage environment as me.
THANK YOU!
Man I have been searching a video like this forever thank you !!! Keep going
Nice job! Very informative and excellent presentation skills.

Very informative video! I appreciate you staying on subject.

How's that 2022 trail doing for you? Ordered mine about 2 weeks ago as of today.
@@V4p3rcl0ud I actually ended up giving my order away in favor of 2022 Ranger XP 1000.

Just wanted to throw that out there and spread what I believe to be good info.

Thanks for watching.
Filter too! The rule is one full turn after seal makes contact - BY HAND!
thank you my friend Form Germany for this Video ! Super
Nice video very informative thanks
Good luck getting the filter off next oil change
Nice Job!
Got a new Sub. Feel like I can do this no-problem now(though I'll still take it in for the first service since I have a warrant).
Very informative video. I’m considering doing this myself after watching this. BTW, what size tires are you running?
Thank you!!
Nice work

online it says not to screw in the dip stick when checking the level

Nice vid, the impact on the plug is my only dislike.
Great videos! What size Allan key is used for the all the plugs? I have 4 hours to go before my break in service. Thanks!
T50
You could have just blown out the air filter with a compressor, absolutely no reason to throw it out and change it at 25 hours
This is true.

You Need an extension. I ended up just using a regular allen key 8mm was long enough to get in there.
hi, sorry, how did you lock the bags in the back? drilled and screwed? Thanks Italian
Screwed them down.

I remember I actually let it over flow and once it stopped leaking over threads I put cap back on.
Hi, where can I find the protections for the driveshafts? thanks
Polaris u- joint grease
The manual for the 570 actually does not have you change the transmission fluid for a very very wild time..... I wonder if that's an error....
I noticed that today when u was reading. But he probably was riding hard. I'm change it as his video tomorrow

Do you know if that exhaust will fit on a 23 570
Sorry I don’t know if it will.
Change the oil that s it at 250
Pretty sure I forgot to do this…
I’d buy the Amsoil kit. That Polaris brand is overpriced garbage
Hello 🫱
Don't waste your time on that junk.
This comment doesn’t make sense. What is a waste?
