*What was your favourite movement? I find it hard to choose a single favourite one, but I think 'March of the Resistance' is pretty exciting with those huge Bb minor chords on the last page!*
definitely the Imperial March for me!! A big Darth Vader fan ever since watching Empire Strikes Back at the age of 6/7 I think in 1980?!! that was my first film as missed out on the original star wars new hope as was only 3/4 when that came out and classed as too young haha...thank you so much for doing this for us...may the force be with you, always....
First of all, I enjoyed them all. My awards come in 3 categories: 1. Favourite Tune - Cantina Band because of its jollity 2. Best visual effects - Imperial March 3. Most scariest - Yoda's Theme because picture reminded me of my French teacher, not happiest memories!
Duel of the Fates and Cantina Band were tied for my most favorite movement of the recital. Masterfully played and voiced!! Enjoyed all 48 minutes of it!
Across the Stars of course! Always gives me goosebumps and tearing me up every single time. Probably the single best thing that came out from Attack of the Clones.
Too cool! I love your socks! I remember learning the March of the ewoks back in the 80s in band. So fun to play on the flute. You have a Amazing gift!!!!!!
This soundtrack was originally recorded by the LSO in 1977, 88 members of the orchestra and their respective instruments. It was excellent then but - 44 years later it gets the Beauty in Sound treatment from Richard playing his 1 man orchestra. - What a guy -- Tremendous !!
Bringing me in a very nice Feeling Good Mood! Spectacular play, great sound (as always) and choise of music.... Caroline and your little man assisting!!
I love all of the movements, but was especially both charmed and rather disturbed by the photo of our dear Princes Leia smiling joyfully while holding a dangerous deadly weapon. Storm Troopers beware. This woman has a mini pipe organ console.
Thank you for enjoyable concert. Not an organ expert or Star Wars fan but appreciated the music. Great way to end Mother's Day here in New Zealand after busy Sunday.
A truly marvelous selection of Star Wars soundtracks adroitly performed by the one and only Master of Multiple Manuals, Richard McVeigh. This concert is going into my collection and it should be in yours!
John Williams’ music has played such a formative part of my life, heightening the emotional experience of the movies, and really capturing my imagination. Really great to hear some of Williams’ best work transcribed for organ and played with such great command and finesse. Was expecting to see Hugo in a baby Yoda costume though!
This is soooo satisfying! It has the satisfaction of an ASMR video because of the clarity of the virtual organ! All the nuances of the organ mechanisms and the reverberations are so alive! Enjoyed it so much!
Excellent version of original score. As per below I like the beginning & wend pieces the best. I did see the movie & have s/trk on a record(double album). More s/trk music would be appreciated.
If I ever get married in a church, I want across the stars to be performed there, absolutely beautiful piece of music performed absolutely beautifully.
This is going to be Epic and Awesome, Sir Richard. And I'm going to learn so much as an organ student. Thank you very much indeed for all of your work and time on this one. And Yes, Caroline simply MUST wear the Princes Leia hairstyle.
If your rendition of the Imperial March last week is an indication of what you have in mind for this album, this should be spectacular. Really looking forward to your performance Saturday!
Excellent, Richard! This must have been a lot of work regarding preparation and practicing. Since John Williams' music isn't easy at all. The hardest thing with film music is (I think) that everyone has just one version in his mind, that's the one from the movie. There isn't a lot of room for other interpretations like with a Bach or a Howells piece. Everyone compares a certain performance to the one they have in their head, so every detail counts. You excelled in that.
Thanks Ralph - that means a lot. I'm really nervous about doing this sort of thing as people who know the soundtrack really well will expect to hear it in a certain way which is why I spent a long time listening to the original orchestration and tempos. It was challenging, but very rewarding! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)
Excellent rendition of John Wiliam's best masterpiece ! This is amazing. Have you heard our friend Paul Fey playing a medley of Lord of the Ring's soundtrack ? Worths it !
Love this! So great how suitable the music is to the organ, great arrangements. It would be really neat to hear Powell's version of the imperial theme "Empire Recruitment" 🤩
That was great fun! Thanks for playing this work. Maybe you could do more John Williams music - albums for Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and his other movie scores. Rotterdam was superb for a lot of the pieces. I think other organs in the BiS fleet might work well for some of the other series of works.
Jurassic Park - definitely! I've actually already arranged Hans Zimmer's 'Time' for piano and organ and percussion which sounds pretty good. I might finish it and get it recorded... :)
Wow hearing the Star Wars Soundtrack on the organ is very moving. The song is very recognizable but on the organ it has much more somber (in a good way!) feel. Beautiful!! ❤ *edit* Just realized how you changed from color to monochrome for The Imperial March and back to color for the rest lol genius!!
Good evening Richard! I really enjoy your art and would like to support you; could you please indicate to me how I may purchase your albums to listen to them uncompressed on a HiFi system (FLAC, WAV or simple CD quality)? Have a wonderful evening and thank you for sharing such talent with all of this community!
Many thanks Etienne. All of my Organ Albums are available download in lossless quality to Patrons of my channel. If you head over to www.patreon.com/beautyinsound and have a look at the various tiers, you’ll see that one of them allows this option. Thank you for wanting to support me - creating Organ Albums takes a very long time.
Looking forward to watching tomorrow. Thank you Richard for putting this together. I so enjoy the music that John Williams writes for films. Looking forward to this.
Great Performance; the best! I would like to hear playing this music on a real organ with great reverb ((Köln Cathedral in Germany or St. Paul Cathedral in London) What do you think?
@@beautyinsound Yes but also the reverb and the acoustics of St.Paul Cathedral... I think it's the reverb of the building that complete these transcriptions!
Search for '13 intergalactic star wars organ arrangements'. It's widely available. What I play in this video is 75% from the published book and 25% my own. 'Duel of the Fates' is almost entirely my own arrangement.

No doubt... The Imperial March... Darth Vader's theme !!!
So awesome.....impressive in every way. Are you kidding me. Excellent. Thank you. Much love...peace.
Across the Stars is... WOW ! Magic with an organ
Glad you liked it Alexis! Please share it with your friends 👍
The Music is the only reason for me, to watch the movies. Thanks for this incredible organ arragement
I don't think I ever saw anyone play organ in socks before. I like it
Id still love to hear the end/credit sequence from Empire. Beautiful to hear so much of the music that has brought me such joy. Thank you

@@beautyinsound - Richard, it is marvelous! So are you, man!
Thanks Dale!
The Emperial march sounds totally awesome on the organ.
😊... I just spent the Whole Time with Images and Scenes in my minds eye!.. Reliving my time at the movies..😝💟🎶
Why does March of the resistance sound like a Bossfight theme on Organ... Awesome
Beast mode 💪🏻
I Loves this Song, Star wars
Bringing me in a very nice Feeling Good Mood! Spectacular play, great sound (as always) and choise of music.... Caroline and your little man assisting!!
I can’t wait to board the fleet to hear Richard the Master Jedi! The force is strong in this one!
Fantastic! Richard’s registrations are phenomenal‼️
I love this rendition of "Duel of the Fates"! I would love to hear the choir chanting the verses along with organ accompaniment.
John Williams is a classical composer who also writes film scores. His music will stand the test of time.
Love the image you put in of Hayden and Natalie/Anakin and Padme during across the stars.
A master at work. Beautiful realistic registrations and the music is brought to life. Thank you!
I love all of the movements, but was especially both charmed and rather disturbed by the photo of our dear Princes Leia smiling joyfully while holding a dangerous deadly weapon.
Storm Troopers beware. This woman has a mini pipe organ console.
This is an amazing album! Never thought that the marriage of Star Wars and Rotterdam would work out so well.
Richard has done it again. What an amazing guy. I was never a Star Wars fan, but this is spectacular and works amazingly well on the organ.
Thank you for enjoyable concert. Not an organ expert or Star Wars fan but appreciated the music. Great way to end Mother's Day here in New Zealand after busy Sunday.
Soundtracks are a real challenge because of the automatic comparison to very familiar originals. Extremely well done Richard!
Please do Mara Jade's theme next!

A superb performance, Richard, simply wonderful. And I loved the Darth Vader look - very appropriate!
My COVID mask and sunglasses were the best I could summon! ;)
This has made me want to rewatch the entire series again! Wonderful job, Richard!

Duel of the Fates. The pedal work is incredible.

What a treat Richard McSykalker! Keep the Y-Wing fighter organ tuned!

I don’t think Rotterdam has ever sounded like this before!
This is going to be so cool.
It sounds VERY cool!
Very much looking forward to tonight's extravaganza
This is really nice Richard
This is wonderful
My favorite is the Cantina Band.
Funnily enough, that one took me the longest to get under the fingers due to the jazzy rhythms! Worth it though!
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Rey's Theme 😍

If you could do Jedi Steps that would be fantastic
Finger movement marvellous ❤️
May the force be with you 🪐🚀🌌
My kids were enthralled. All 5 watched the whole thing. Their request for next time: The Lord of the Rings. Thanks Richard!

Am I the only one who is getting goosebumps
I've always considered people who delve into the minutiae of 'Star Wars', 'Star Trek' and 'Lord of the Rings' to be undateable.
Luckily, I'm not looking for a date at the minute 😉
@@beautyinsound And you should add (!) - "Or any time soon."
Great fun, amazing how you got the haircut midway.😂
It was the Light Saber that got me!
I was hoping you would have done Anakins dark deeds too
The choice of sounds here is soulhealing, if I may say so. Which sample set were you using here Richard to meet the purpose?
It's the Rotterdam sample. I know it well, and it can do most things.
Great Performance; the best! I would like to hear playing this music on a real organ with great reverb ((Köln Cathedral in Germany or St. Paul Cathedral in London) What do you think?
St Paul’s would be rather fun, wouldn’t it! With all those reeds!
