I'm staying in Brighton right now! After many visits going on the Palace Pier I went along to the West pier and took a range of photos. Thank you for your video giving a visual and factual history of the timeline and how the pier looked over the years, I have always been curious x
Looked amazing in the 1920s, it's a shame it's been left to fall into disrepair over the years. I'm aware than piers are particularly vulnerable structures due to their location.
This made me feel quite emotional. I remember when we went to Brighton for a day trip, we lived in London, we had to choose which pier we wanted to go on. I haven’t been back since the 90’s and it’s sad to see the relic it has become.
What a beautifully made video, thank you for sharing, I wish I had taken the chance to go on it when they were doing tours in the early 2000s
Very impressed it survived this week's storm. This pier was built to last.

Really great video, as a Brightoner myself, I really wish I could have seen the pier in its heyday.
Thang was amazing thank you, it must have taken time to produce. Thank you so much for sharing and your time
Absolutely amazing man

What a beautiful video that was made
Brilliant!
Poor old pier. If it never closed in 1975 then it would probably still be here
Piers do seem to have a habit of catching fire I've noticed..
Amazing, well done
Another great video, this is favourite thing about Brighton seeing the West Pier. Just one question, what are the numbers above the pier?
They are age counters in years for different elements of the pier
I was wondering the same thing, makes complete sense now.
It's so sad the pier burned down, I went to Brighton and saw it and it was so sad even fish and chips couldn't cheer me up
Sad :(
No, I'm not here after reading POABS lyrics.
This get fire but why not get gone
