Travis is wise to try to find his own niche, especially with you right down the street. I can only imagine how many wood yards you have helped inspire into existence including my own. Now, I haven't decided if I should be eternally grateful or if I should give myself a swift kick in the pants for following along. 🤔
I love seeing firewood guys support other firewood guys that are close to one another. Travis has a heck of an operation there, I told him today he inspired me to make some small loose stands for out by my roadside stand!!! Hope you're great Chris 🤜🤛
Awesome! Hey are you planning on coming to the firewood frenzy this Saturday yet??? Can you Email me your phone number at chrisinthewoodyard@gmail.com ...??
You've been a mentor for lots of us, starting to sell firewood!! It was great to see someone close to you who has watched and listened!! Thanks Chris!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Laat week after doing to small splitting jobs for clients, 2.5hrs each on two separate days, took me 3rd day to recover hydratuon and feel up to working again.
I have two thing to say to you...first of all that is awesome and secondly...I am sorry for what you are about to have do...work work work! Haaa! Congrats and keep cuttin'!
I like helping because some day I will need some too. There is a ton of business in our area and we both worked at it full time we would maybe be able to produce 10% of the areas needs.
nice of you to showcase Travis. i think it was cool of you to do so. i find it funny that you inspired him in so many things. thanks for taking us on this ride.
Hi Chris!!😀😀 Looks like Travis is running a little competition with you. Would explain a few things. Sounds like he is busy. Take care my friend!!😀😀💚💚 Logger Al
We have all learned so much from each other! We have all borrowed ideas from others like you if it works for our particular situation. This guy has an impressive stash of firewood! Take care Sir Chris👍🏻👍🏻GNI
Great video with a helluva nice guy, a hard working, family man, a great provider, a Husky owner, a guy who likes to pile wood rather than stack it, an Eastonmade Ultra owner....and Chris. 😂 Thanks for sharing. He's a great inspiration for the new guys just starting their businesses. Keep up the great work. Thanks for being a good sport.
Those bags definitely fall apart when they are in the sun over 1 month in summer. Had apple wood chunks for bbq in bags they aren't UV resistant. So i just bag bbq chunks to order. I plastic wrap my bundles. Cheap, fast, clean, efficient. Travis is a good dude, all woodhounds are. Hes stopped by Orr Sawmill a few times to get white oak from me. My brother films his sawmilling and has alot of UA-cam videos. Orr Sawmill Timber Tales. I have a bunch of oak,ash and maple logs to split yet that i logged this winter. Plus 40 cords of ash logs to get thru. A bunch of 4ft maple rounds. Work hard and u get what u deserve. I started 5 yrs ago selling and delivering with just a ms250 ,ford ranger, 30 ton splitter and a trailer. Now i deliver several hundred cords of firewood every year and can haul 6 facecords per load and have it dumped with no extra touching. I do stack at least 30% of my firewood deliveries. More wood and more work is the never ending cycle of firewood. Bundles only sell for me haven't had luck selling $20 racks bc im not within the city
Nice video Chris. Travis has obviously learned much about the firewood business from your UA-cam channel as have we all. He has a nice building/shop. He should be able to keep all 5 kids busy with the firewood operation and chores are still a good thing for teaching work ethic. GNI
Thanks for sharing Chris and Travis Yep, just a 290 55cc to start with. I'm just a 291. Just put up a rack on my driveway, it's going to be a visible communicator - not filled yet. I liked those little racks, will make one today. Cheers sincerely d
Travis certainly has it going on and at such a young age to have a great knowledge of the industry. Thanks for being a mentor and such an influence to this young man. Great video, Chris! GNI
This video is AWESOME! Wow 2 miles from your woodyard! You nailed it. The dump trailer is a game changer! I bought the sure-trac 5 x 8, added sides to it, its small enough for around my yard, and pretty sweet for hauling loads of wood home. After cutting and loading wood in a trailer, you get tired, the dump trailer is sweet to just dump, doesn't add to further getting more beat up unloading! And i love it for chucking wood in it from the splitter, then backing it to my wood pile, raise the dump, and stack wood from the back.
Will nice to see another guy that sells wood like you does and you got to meet him in person. He got fair amount of wood around to sell. Great video as always.
I just came back to say hello and see hopefully you have recovered. Thank you for the time you spend to make all these beautiful and inspiring videos. Please take care.
All that debris I get from splitting I fill up some 50 gallon drums for myself starting fires in my garage. The rest either gets dumped in a hole in the woods or on my burn pile and burned. It is nice to keep some. I probably wouldn't mess around bagging it to sell it but I fill up some drums to have some for starting fires myself.
Have you noticed that people that make firewood are hard workers. This guy has a whole bunch of wood and really has been busy. Nice looking wood yard. Seems like a great guy. Should make you feel good that he got so much from you.
Chris, my wife wanted to give away an older picnic table umbrella to get rid of it. Then I learned that odd square tube on my Ultra was for umbrella. 2” shaft thought I would have to whittle it down. Fit perfectly. Done! It’s a two piece metal tube with joint to remove one section or can cut it down or remove one section, so can make it by cutting tube a diff height. Now have nice shade umbrella that can be angled with tilt function comes with good picnic umbrella. You can find those at Home Cheepo or any outdoor type store. FYI long umbrella shaft puts umbrella up in air so its way above head height so no interference. Yes, tell Andrew Easton, it’s your fault I bought Ultra! That’s at least two machines if you count this guy in video.
Great video Chris, great to see Travis is doing good and growing his business. Some say competition, personally my take is he is filling in gaps and finding his niche in the market. A mix of Joe at Ohio Wood Burner and yourself. You truly are a mentor and pass on knowledge that is helping people in ways all over. 👍🏻👍🏻 I do see a baby dumper in Travis’s near future though. Good Night Irene

Great video. Chris I have to say I have never been disappointed with any of your videos. With the exception of those bike videos. Just kidding , nice to see what’s all out there. Take care and thanks for sharing.
Chris I have to thank you for the videos you make and the info you provide I just recently purchased a dump trailer and I thought about painted trailers first then started looking at galvanized trailers and you convinced me it wasn’t worth it to go painted I really wanted a n&n but every where around me was sold out so I went with a 6x12 k trail and the more I use it the more i wonder why I didn’t do it sooner

I know when I started saling firewood last year I couldn't stay cought up. So I'm getting ahead of the game this year. This will be my second year. Hope that I do just as good or better this year
