After listening to Zeppelin my whole life, and listening to Greta since '17, ive come to the conclusion that its only their first album that resembles Zeppelin. Ever since then Gretas been there own sound that rocks just as hard as the godfathers of rock whole paved the road for bands like Greta to flourish.
I agree. It is so refreshing and exciting to see young musicians play instruments! I was a little cynical about the future of RandR but GVF have renewed my faith that RandR WILL NEVER DIE!
Was in the States at that moment with two friends, and before the trip we looked up if there were any gigs to go to... I couldn' believe that these guys were playing in MSG when we were in NY. Got the tickets, went, and were blown away. This song was Jakey's highlight of the night. A night I'll never forget
I'm an older guy and have seen lots of great bands. Beatles at Shea, Doors busted in New Haven, Hendrix at the Fillmore, Stones in 65 in New Haven, saw Zep open for Iron Butterfly at Fillmore in 68 and many more. I was at MSG for this and to all who saw it live it's one of them.
I have seen a lot of bands in the 70s but you have me beat. Stones, Yes, Pink Floyd, Neil, McCartney a couple times Springsteen too many times lol , ELO, Peter Gabriel, Psychedelic Furs, James, Ramones. No nukes with Bonnie Rait and Jackson Brown The Eagles a couple times.... geez I can't remember I know I'll remember when this post is done, but GVF is up there with them all.
I miss the Weight of Dreams, but love The Archer too! There simply is nothing like Greta Van Fleet Live. Absolute magic, ascending to the stars as one!!!
This one defintely blows you back in your seat (if you're able to stay seated, which I haven't been!). Just a beautiful song. Great production. Great video!
Thanks for the video man 👊🏻 ❤ Sick viewpoint you had!!!! I was at MSG that night also.. What a performance 🤯 I Saw them in Québec last year and they grew so much musically it’s crazy how good they are now
I hope they release a professional production video of this performance like they did for Black Flag Explosion (morphs into Weight of Dreams later) from the iconic Red Rocks show.
Agreed! I saw them in DC the night before this. You can literally feel the heat of the flames all the way to the back of the arena! Jake's solo sounds so much better live. No offense at all to this person...I think only a professional recording can do it justice.
@jedfo64 Apparently Danny's techie checks his body temperature periodically to make sure he's not overheating. There's a video on YT? where he talks about it.

Safari Song and Highway Tune (my favorites), both from the first album, sound absolutely nothing like Led Zeppelin.
i miss the zeppeliny sound tbh.

You saw Beatles at shea in 1965?🤯🤯 You're so lucky!
Thank you. So glad that you enjoyed these guys too.
This show was amazing!

My late mum saw Beatles live at winter gardens near Blackpool in they early career in 60s

Wow! Mind blowing guitar solo!
GVF at The Garden!!! Just so cool!!
Well done, gentlemen, well done!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Danny is always mouthing the words Josh sings 🥹

High-risk high reward for Jake. Not since Jimmy Page have I heard a lead guitarist walk so far out on the tightrope without a net!
This is a really great job by mdobbins -- great shooting, great sound. I was there last night, and this does a great job of capturing it.
I was hoping for this! I love this song and it’s fantastic live with Jake’s extended version.🙏🏻
My favorite song off the new album 🏹
Goosebumps
Just saw them in concert in Louisville and it was a great show.
Awesome footage! I really hope the extension of the song gets turned into a track on a future album; it’s absolutely amazing.
I am so glad to see you got this! Thank you! Always an amazing viewpoint. ❤

You were down below from where I was at this show. Great quality video dude. This was such a great show!!! They killed it!!
Yeah, this has to be my favorite this tour...;)
Mine too!
I was hoping for this! I love this song and it’s fantastic live with Jake’s extended solo! Fab as always 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for this 😮 I do get a bit nervous for Dan and Jake seemingly so close to the flames 🔥

This is such a fantastic clip. Great sound.
First time ive watched Jakes solo for this song and damn what a solo.
Quite the song and long at 13 min Incredible all the different elements used
3:39 DO IT JAKEY
Just amazing!!!
Gretas first appearance at The Garden and it sold out, but you wanna know what.......
I👏WAS👏THERE!👏🤘🤘🤘
Josh sounds like Geddy Lee of Rush now and Geddy Lee was criticized for his vocals all the time .
Led Zeppelin don't define Greta Van Fleet anymore... They created rock songs in Starcatcher that both hard rock and softer rock fans enjoy
everybody melting at 9:44 😆
Them drums tho
Overlooked. Awesome that they all are, he carries them.
This is so good! Do you mind if I share this to my tiktok and credit you of course!!!
What did you use to record the audio?
Just an iPhone 12 Pro.
mdobbins for President 💯
How the fuck did jake not make Rolling Stones top 250 guitarists
I mean, Lucy Dacus made it. Jobim the father of bossanova DIDNT make it. I think it’s a compliment for Jake to NOT be in that list.
@@Thingsthatmakemegohmmm you’re right. It was an awful list
Rolling Stone has become a joke.
Is that Nuno Bettencourt on lead ? 🤔 LOL 😜. Good job Jake! 👏☆☆☆☆☆☆

Love the music - hate the theatrics

Lol first time hearing this i thought that the dude singing was a chick. Impressive indeed.
And again a long, boring guitar solo....way too long.
But you stuck around to watch it ...😅
@@patricialehrke7688 Yes. that's why I know it's too long and boring.
wow, the GVF haters are really scrounging for reasons to hate on them at this point.
@@Atronach1 Who says I'm a hater?
I just want to find out why this band is so popular, but until now they disappoint me.
Especially Jake.
@@mozeskriebel7170 boring? Maybe for you
over rated band ... they will never be Led Zeppelin
Of course they’ll never be Led Zeppelin… they’re Greta Van Fleet. It’s possible to love both.
Stop being so ignorant!!
@@mdobbinsexactly!!
It’s also a big deal they are headlining Madison Square Garden. Amazing
It depends on who's doing the Ratings, you're not qualified. You have to see them both live to be qualified,
