i know Im randomly asking but does anybody know a method to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost my account password. I love any assistance you can give me!
@Marc Harry thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Ive started this project but ive got to go buy more wire and beads lol. This is sucj a great tutorial. I really like listening to your voice and instructions. I wish you would do more videos on wire trees or jewelry 🙂 Excellent job amd beautiful tree!
Hehe, we always need more wire, longer wire, and more beads than we think we will when making these little trees. 😉 I've been wanting to make more of these videos but I have so many projects going on.
I have to say, this is one of the best tut vids I have seen, organized, good pictures, great explanations, and a good looking tree at the end, thanks for your time...
Excellent I absolutely love the way you have done this. I made a pink one this evening but a different way. I didn’t really like how mine came out so I’m definitely trying yours tomorrow. Thank You for you’re video. Scott from England.
I get my crafting wire at the hardware store; it is very cheap compared to the craft stores even if you have a coupon for the craft store the hardware store sells wire much cheaper. Another nice thing is you can buy exactly what you need/want because they sell it off the roll by the foot.
Indeed! The hardware store is an excellent place to get copper and steel wires! 👍 But the wire used in this tree in particular was silver-plated, and I've never found that in the hardware stores around here. 😥
hi there I love it soooo much Im one of your audience from lebanon i just wish if you can NOT fasting this much so we can do exactly what you're doing thank you so much
My toxic trait is seeing this video one time and thinking I can do it. Buying $100 worth of materials, trying it. Getting halfway though and then putting it in my closet unfinished until the next time I move and have to pack it up. lol
I like the video and love this type tree but what size beads did you use? I've watched 100 different videos on different trees and styles and NOBODY talks about the beads or size or what they are made of just the wire and tools
Thank you! I think I do mention somewhere in the video that those are peridot beads, but in case I forgot, well, they're peridots. 😉 I think the size doesn't matter /too much/ because you can use whatever size you feel looks better, and in the case of irregular shaped beads like these, size is all over the place. These vary anywhere from 4mm to 8mm in any direction of measurement.
@@SculptyWorks you may have said they type but not the size cause I ordered 2mm and they to dang small and gonna try 4mm this time and thank you so much for replying cause I just got into this a few days ago and its very stress releasing making these trees. I made my 1st tree out of old copper wire and it didn't turn out to good but I refuse to give up lol
@@scooterb3814 Yeah 2mm might be a tad small for this kind of stuff. But if you have A LOT of them, you can bunch them up and still make the 'leaves' look nice. 😉 And yes, you can use whatever wire you can manipulate easily enough! The others I've made are all copper wires; this one is silver because I got a really good deal on the wire and couldn't pass on it. And yes again, it can be quite soothing to make these little trees! Glad you're having fun with them! 👍😊
@@scooterb3814 The wire usually I wait for a local craft store to have some sort of sale, usually Joann or Hobby Lobby. The beads, well, the craft stores have some good options and I have bought from them before too, but in this tree's case the peridots are a precious stone and I have a supplier in India that provides me with gemstones when I need them for jewelry, and they hooked me up with the peridots too. 😉
The glove I started with was one of those cut-resistant gloves, I used it because it was the thinnest I had and gave me the best tactile feel, but handling the wires so much the glove started to fray on the fingertips, so I swapped for a leather glove. Any glove is Ok, and even no glove at all, if your fingers can take the abuse! 😉
You can buy pre-drilled little gems in crafts stores in the U.S. (I know Hobby Lobby and Michael's have them), and you can find them on eBay, just as always be careful when buying on eBay, specially from overseas sellers. 🙂
Hi. What a lovely tree. Thank you for sharing 😊 I just have a question. How do you calculate how long the wire have to be? Will you do videos of other shapes? Tia. Lots of greetings from Denmark
Thanks! I mostly guess the length of the wires. Depending on how much you twist it, usually you can expect the final height of the tree to be about half the length of the folded wire (so 1/4 of the total length), more or less. I've been wanting to make some other trees videos, just haven't had the time to do it, way too many projects going on at same time! 😉
That really depends on how you bend the branches and how tight you twist everything, but more-or-less the final height is 1/4 of the wire length (24" wires got me a 6" tree). So, for a 4' tree you probably want to start with 16' wires.
Thanks! ❤ You can find all sorts of stone and man-made beads that can be used for a project like this on craft stores, eBay, and Etsy. 😊 (those I used are peridots; I have a contact in India that supplies me with that kind stuff, so I can't direct you to where you can get /those/ specifically)
I didn't buy the beads online, so unfortunately I don't have a link for them. But if you search eBay or Etsy you might be able to find similar ones there. 👍

I see people saying 50 wires. Is that actually 25 because it's cut in your counting that is the double wire is one or two or is it a total of 50 wires? I'm confused. I'm not a craft person but I want to try and make
I have no idea, I never made any of these for sale, they have always been gifts. 😊 Usually you would add up the cost of the materials and the time spent working on it to figure out a price point. If you are a popular artist, you can also add that to the price. 😉

Where did you get those chip beads and that color? I can't find them anywhere. I love your tree it is beautiful How many branches?
Thanks! 😊 I know a supplier in India. Those specific ones are peridot. The tree has 13 branches.
Just wow
Awesome
Thank you for the video. I am going to try it. Approximately how big does this come out to be?
With everything, it came out to about 6 1/2" tall, and some 5" to 6" around.
How many times do you wrap the wire around the ruler?
Are you alternating between which wire you out the beads on? Or does it not matter?
