Seriously, I’ve looked at so many tutorials to make a tree for my friend as a present and this legitimately is THE BEST I’ve seen. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and creativity.
Hi, I'm 2 years late but I absolutely love this. I used this design for inspiration on my school project. It turned out amazing because of your help. Thank you so much💕
This is the best looking miniature tree I've ever seen (discounting real bonsai of course). I've been thinking of doing one for the base of my warhammer Lion mini.
I tried your glue technique today, I love it. I will be using it often. At the risk of being thought of as lazy, I did omit the painting step. I used black and brown glue sticks instead. Thanks for the tutorial.
That is beautiful work. I haven't made a tree in ages. I've always thought it wasn't worth the time it took to make them, but this video has inspired me to give it another try. This is definitely much, much better than the technique I was previously taught.
I've made an awful lot of trees in my life (mostly for commercial models) but I've never seen this hot glue technique before! I'm not saying I could have afforded to forest a construction project with trees like this, but I was fascinated to watch! Very artistic and absolutely excellent!
Exactly what I was looking for. I need to manufacture 250/400 mm high trees for a railway layout (the ones sold for this are usually too small and pricey), and what you show here is spot on for me. Thanks !
I like the designs and workmanship on your trees better than any I've seen, they have that 'treeness' without all the glitz and glitter like others out there. I've been doing metal sculpture most of my long life and my way of doing a tree is a loose armature of steel rods that I weld and braze over to fill in the texture and use brazed on brass and bronze for the leaf clusters and highlights. I'm thinking of getting back into the tree thing and use some beads, which provide some stunning highlights as exemplified in your work. Right now, I'm into dragons and elven circlets and tiaras but trees would be a nice break at this time. Keep it up, you do great work....
have watched a lot of these "how to" videos, and this is the best one yet, you are good at explaining how to do, and it is simple and pretty cool ! thanks !
A video (and channel) with beautiful models; helpful, concise tips and instructions; presented in a cute, humorous style (with no cringe!) with high production quality!!??? WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THIS? - Thank you!
Really enjoyed this ..I started this 20 or more years ago ..never knew others did this ..I wanted to share what I've used for my foliage..I used silver mond moss ..
This is really good stuff. Amongst a ton of hobby videos on the internet your craftsmanship really stands out. One of the best tree tutorials I’ve seen. Keep it up. I know your channel will keep growing. Subscribed.
oh my goodness, the preview image looked so awesome already and now watching the hole video I'm even more blown away - thank you Algorithm!!! ..very inspirational, I am inclined to use it to my advantage and create teehehehee
I just came across and watched this video. You are awesome. Thank you for making it so much fun. It put the most amazing smile on my face, a perfect way to start my day. Thanks again 👍
I've done a few gem stone trees but I always wanted to create something a bit more realistic. Thank you so much this video helps inspire my creativity.
Dang. After 25 years, it took this video to show me what I was doing wrong XD Always used to twist the wire all the way up from the roots, makes it nearly impossible to make a tree like this. Thank you, and great work!
Glad you found it helpful! I used to do my trees that way too and it is great for smaller trees, but doesn't really work well for larger ones. (Plus you get a bonus of carpal tunnel syndrome 😅). I learned the wrapping technique from the The Terrain Tutor here on youtube, super great channel! 😁
You get the thumbs up because ya deserved it! Well done, intelligently creative. I am doing larger ones out of wire screen mesh, Fiberglass sheet and car bond. Looking for foliage ideas. I like the idea of 3D print pot !!!! Do a segment on that if you can.
well done!! she's a beauty!! I sure wish I'd Known they made Pink and Magenta Flocking when I did my tree!! LOL! My Drummer was Making fun of me for MONTHS because I was working on ONE tree for over a month. LOL! I was pre-cutting all the Leaves for an Apple Blossom centerpiece 1/24 scale tree for some Diorama RC Tracks in my Basement. Your Tree looks fantastic!
I'm just about to start landscaping my new o gauge trainboard, just finished laying and debugging the track. Will try to show you some shots of my first scratch built trees. Thanks so much for the detailed instructions. Gary
Amazing video!! Just started out doing dioramas myself and this video has been SOO helpful!! 🙌 have been looking for a channel that show how to make handmade props for environment and come across your channel! Liked and subscribed with notifications on!! keep up the great content 👏
Очень красиво. Спасибо большое за красивое видео и отличный контент. Лайк и подписка. Успехов Вам и Вашему каналу. Идея замечательная и реализация прекрасная.
I have an idea! So I saw a tutorial on turning hot glue into a realistic-looking fire, combining that with an LED light (the type from Halloween they put in pumpkins to simulate fire will work amazing) Love your tree and combine both ideas, and bam! Light up tree on fire! I'll try it and see what I can work out but you are honestly better at crafts and I thought I'd pass along the idea for your own tabletop.
Wow that is an awesome video! You are very talented! Keep up the amazing work, you should be making big bucks!!!! This is not something just anyone can do. It was so beautiful!❤❤
Thank you so much! I'm making my first attempt today to make these. They are so gorgeous! Can't wait to see what else you have to show me. Instant subscribe ❤
Thanks so much! I've tried a few methods and hot glue is definitely the most durable method I've found so far (also happens to be the best looking for this kind of bark too haha).
From one artist to another, I appreciate the proper terms for the techniques. "Slop it on" 😂😂 I died. I dunno why this randomly popped into my feed but I love it!
Im about halfway through following this tutorial, so much respect for the process! Gluing and texturing is a wee bit time consuming but REALLY makes it come to life, thank you so much for sharing this, subscribed! 🧡
I've made trees out of wire before but never thought to use multiple bundles or hot glue (that blew my mind...I've always used latex). That looks so great!
Fantastic job !!! I love it !! So I gave your video a👍 I saved it for myself ! I subscribed !! You are one talented lady !! So don't stop making video's Thank you ! Julie
Oh I don't think this would be appropriate in an aquarium. The PVA and the acrylic paint are both water soluble and will reactivate in water. I would also be concerned about how the various products might interact with the health of the fish. Sometimes non-toxic things are toxic to aquatic life. I'm not sure of the best type of tree for an aquarium but I'm sure there is some info out there. Best of luck!
@Geordie Crafts in order to make it work, multiple clear epoxy coatings will be required. It's a very time consuming process but well worth it once it's complete. I've done it a few time over the years and it works very well. C/A glue itself is actually used in the aquarium hobby along with hot glue and has been for a long time now. On the upside, I always test new things that I build in a separate aquarium with no fish in it. I let it sit as a running, fishless aquarium and test the water daily for about a month before actually using it in one of my actual aquariums just in case. I definitely don't want my fish in danger! Thank you for the concern!!
"We're making this tree, it's a nice tree" DAMN RIGHT IT IS!
Absolutely gorgeous! You're so creative!
😅😅 thank you so much! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out 😊
@@Geordiecrafts I also adore how you do your commentary, its exactly my kind of comedy 😂 keep up the great work!

I would give you 50 thumbs up if i could. You made it look so easy, and the tree came out gorgeous and natural looking. Thank you.
Today , you are my teacher. Very good info. Thank you.
Thanks!

Hi, I'm 2 years late but I absolutely love this. I used this design for inspiration on my school project. It turned out amazing because of your help. Thank you so much💕
Me too. Happy to see someone in my timeline watching thisn
I grow my own bonsai trees, have done for several years now but this…. love this ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is the best looking miniature tree I've ever seen (discounting real bonsai of course). I've been thinking of doing one for the base of my warhammer Lion mini.

This was really well done. I am making a sleepy hollow type grave and this is the perfect style tree. Thank you!
your videos are so incredibly impressive. Not only your crafting skills but also the videography. Hell you can even 3d modell that is so cool
Thought this was about a real bonsai cherry tree! Came out learning how to create one. Love art!!!

Very nice tutorial, I actually never thought about using hot glue for the bark - definitely trying it out.
Yeah the hot glue works out really well for the bark, It's durable, flexible, and easy to shape with hot tools!
have watched a lot of these "how to" videos, and this is the best one yet, you are good at explaining how to do, and it is simple and pretty cool ! thanks !
Just what I was looking for! And I assume the dancing helps everything come together so I will incorporate into my work as well.
Freakin' Awesome and looks like blast to create! Thank you so much for the tutorial!
Beautiful job Geordie!! The music and dancing were much appreciated 💕

For slightly more durable trees, you can use a cottonwool like material to spread over the branches, instead of the seafoamtrees. Awesome video!
Great video showcasing a really interesting technique. I'll have to give it a go!

Really love the tutorial. I did something similar not too long ago involving 2 different shades of card stock and a very small hole punch.
Thanks! And I bet that took forever haha 😅
