I know you are going to ask, so I found the translation for the mini-movie that was before the official start of the Music. Introductory Narration of Qairan Elim Read by Yisbek Abilmazhinov Great steppe ... I'm talking about that great steppe, where the four sides of the world converged. I'm talking about the vastness and breadth of the spreading steppes from Altai and Atyrau, Zhaiyk and Ile, Alatau and Saryarka. I'm talking about the Earth, where the Turkic tribe originates. Eh, world, relax. There are descendants who survived after bloody wars and strife, descendants are still alive who, despite the difficulties, have not lost their hospitality, generosity, descendants are still alive - the patrons of the Great Steppe, which is unfathomable to strangers." English translation: Anna Ludwig-k

Opening passage to "Qairan Elim." "The Great Steppe... I praise your rich lands. Altai and Atyrau, Zhaiyk and Ili, Alatau and Saryarka - what expanses of my native land that has witnessed my happy years! I am talking about the Great Steppe - the golden cradle of the Turkic world. Hey, silent world! Do not hold your breath! You have descendants who never hesitated and did not stand aside during fierce disputes and confrontations. This land has an owner - a kind character and generous soul of whom could not spoil or break this changeable world with its distorted values. The Great Steppe has a guardian spirit, unknown to a stranger, incomprehensible to an outsider." This is how it was, and this is how it still is with different foe. Dimash prays for all the world to come back, in the end, after this is past. We will suffer, but we will be tempered, and we will be reborn with the color of the mountains and the sky in all their glory. Dimash is of great and deep thought, he prays for our earth. Dimash's prayer for humanity is both heart wrenching and exquisitely beautiful, all those powerful emotions hitting you, all at the same time, and left for us to ponder. Congrats Dimash, well done.. another masterpiece. Thank you, heavy message indeed.
I never tire of saying how much I love hearing Dimash sing in his language. Thank you for your research on the music and lyrics authors, before your analysis, this demonstrates your dedication and respect for Dimash's work.❤️🌹❤️🇧🇷🇧🇷
This video was filmed in several of the most beautiful places in Kazakhstan, Kolsay lake where Dimash stood on a wooden pier, Kaindy Lake where the dead birch trees stood in the water are near Almaty, where the first Stranger concert was held, and many dears were able to tour these places, and Charyn canyon, where The Story of One Sky was filmed. The singing sand dunes were a little farther and I did not get to see it. Kazakhstan has amazing varied landscapes from desserts to snowy mountains and more, no wonder Dimash loves his homeland so mcuh❤❤❤ always love your reactions and appreciate your musical knowledge. Are you going to Prague or Dusseldorf later this month?
Your analysis are always so detailed! Thank you. Fortunately, there is hope with the green nature at the end of the video. Vos analyses sont toujours si détaillées! Merci.
Saludos.
🎶In this film, as in many of Dimash's films, there is a lot of symbolism and references to the history of his country and people. You can guess that they have been through a lot. "My land" can also mean our Earth, which is the home of all peopleDimash tries very hard to make people enjoy freedom, and the hope at the end of the film in the form of the green color of the trees is common, both for the future of this country, other countries, and the consolation that the pandemic will end someday.
Hello! Dears already know what you will ask, so in the 1st comment is the translation of the words that were speaked in the introduction!😜 Always waiting for you reactions to Dimash! 😍If you want emotion, there are plenty of songs that you haven't reacted yet, being, (to me), "The story of one sky" live in Almaty concert, one of the best. 😢Stay well and healthy. Bye
When I first heard the song I thought those clicking or ticking noises refere to time constantly going unaltered, but then I remembered, that time actually doesn´t exist, it´s nothing but a human concept to measure something that is not measurable at all. So now the clicking sounds to me like the heartbeat of the earth itself, this never ending circle of life and death and life again unchanged, never ending, providing us with everything we need - therefore this is one of my all time favorite Dimash song 💕 And I would like to hear your analysis on Aqquym and Passione - both very emotional for me - well like many Dimash songs obviously 😉
The picture of the wolf was on a wall at the top of the stairs at a lodge in Tennessee, USA. I recently visited. I must admit it was a shocker. I whipped out my phone and showed all 22 people the pic and of course played the song
Thank you for your powerful reaction. I don't see the imagery at the end as destruction, but as sacrifice. They have sacrificed themselves to bring back joy to the land.
Sir Hairless, I'm really happy to find your reactions to Dimash! Such deep analysis, so valuable! Thanks for everything! I wish you happiness and success! Greetings from Bulgaria!
Thanks for your reaction to one of my favorite Dimash's song, so underrated... He performed it live in his concert in Almaty, with Rainat Gassin and it was amazing. The images in the video are filmed in Kazakhstan, I recognize some places I visited after his concert in Almaty: the lake is the Kolsai lake. This country is extraordinary beautiful... I travelled there 3 times thanks to Dimash and will go back there every time he will organise a concert, because if all his concerts are amazing, the ones in his homeland are special, probably because he loves his country so much...
Hello Sir !!
The Kobyz sounds like it is crying, in such a personal and emotional way. So much melancholia, and pain. I really think there is such beauty, in the “Simplicity” of the music, because you concentrate on the seriousness of the lyrics. Dimash shows such respect for his country, ALWAYS! The dramatic burning of the piano really brings home the sacrifice and loss that his countrymen endured to defend their way of life. Thank you again for your caring and thoughtful explanation of this beautiful song!💗🇺🇸
Sir hairless your reactions are so insightful and sensitive. I really enjoy them. Thank you so much for handling dimash's music so gently and powerfully. This piece is mysteriously beautiful!
Hi Sir Hairless You love music, right?.. It's easy for me to understand your passion, for the composition, for the arrangement, for the lyrics, for all the details, you break everything down to the detail, for me you're fantastic too. Brave Hairless Sir 👏
My friends and I went in search of that rock in the lake that he stood on during the climax of this song. We had to trek though freezing water. It was much deeper than in the video and we had to go barefoot. It was a great treasure hunt. Our guide thought it was hillarious because we used the video like a map to find it. 😅
The resolution at the end! 🧑🍳 Beautiful. Qairan Elim was the first official video of Dimash I had ever watched and it hits as poignantly now as it did then. I also wish they’d provide subtitles for the opening sequence. I believe that I had heard that the opening sequence was used from a famous movie about the history of Kazakhstan. I believe that River of Love was also composed by the same composer. An interesting piece for the best (imo) singer. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦!
Thank you for your reaction and analysis . Your excitement always moves me. Here is a little bit of the history of the wonderful Kobyz : The qobyz (қобыз) is an ancient Kazakh string instrument, traditionally made from a single piece of wood with two strings of horsehair. It has a resonating cavity usually covered with goat leather. Historically, the qobyz was considered a sacred instrument used by shamans and spiritual healers, believed to have the power to banish evil spirits, sickness, and death. In modern times, the qobyz has been adapted with four metallic strings and is used to play traditional Kazakh music and complex violin compositions. The instrument is central to the Kazakh music genre known as küi, which consists of short, programmatic pieces that often imitate natural sounds. Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱 ❤
To me the ticking sound sounds like a metronome. Symbolising passing time. Every time that I think you won’t have that much to talk about, your videos become extra long. 😂 Love that you surprise me every time. 😊❤ As does Dimash. That video is so powerful visually. And the song is magnificent and heartbreaking. 💔
In the part where we see Renat Gaissim playing a burning piano, or dying in the lake, we have an analogy to the martyrs who died for the independence of Kazakhstan, or the people who were victims of COVID! After the sacrifice, the dawn of more hopeful times will come!
❗ Dimash's generation is the first in 1000 years to grow up in a free sovereign nation. (1991) From the Mongol Hoard to the barbed wire Soviet labor camps, his country was invaded and subjugated, forced to pass down in secret their language, culture and traditions, one generation to the next. They are fiercely passionate about preserving their "sacred homeland" and its rich cultural heritage for their children and posterity and to honor their elders and forbears for their sacrifices as he does masterfully here.
@ВераСавельева-м7й v Bepa, I grew up in Kazakhstan, its culture, history and traditions a significant part of mine and my family's lives. My parents friends with his through their work on charities, my sister and friends went to uni with him. I don't know where you get YOUR version of history, I got mine living there
Thank you so much SH for another great reaction. Through your eyes, ears and knowledge I find myself appreciating Dimash even more, if that is at all possible. Have a great weekend and 💕from the Netherlands
Thank you so much! It is impossible to listen to this angelic Voice without tears.... Thank you for them))) Just listen to this version of the same song. It's beautiful!!! - ua-cam.com/video/2A6CLrngM-s/v-deo.html
Renat Gaissin, the composer, was on piano in the video. He can also be seen in an instrumental video with Dimash on dombra called Rivers of Love. It is extremely difficult for me to pick favourites when it comes to Dimash's songs. The top 5 or 10 tend to move about depending on which I listened to last but this song stays way up in the standings. I have always been puzzled though by the title, Qairan Elim. To watch Dimash sing the words his mouth position reverses the final consonants. It appears he sings Qairam Elin. I tend to trust Dimash to know his own language and that the English translation of the words is incorrect but I've never been completely sure. Anyway, I am happy you liked it. Thank you, as always:)
Another wonderful analysis of this beautiful song. Thank you very much for that. Dimash's Kazakh songs are all very impressive and great for me because they are sung with so much emotion. "Omir Oter" by the same composer is also available in a music video or live in Dimash's digital concert. Equally impressive is "Samaltau", for which the background information is also important, as with so many things by Dimash. There are also different versions of it. Not forgetting "Daididau", which is also very close to Dimash's heart. He has just sung this song and "SOS" at the French president's state reception, where he was part of the Kazakh delegation.
Thank you!❤ I love this song so much - when I first watched this video I burst into tears - and I cried a lot after that, although in the beginning I didn't even understand a word. But this sad song with reduced music, Dimash's delicate whispering crying praying painful loving voice really touched me deeply. And then the images! Pure (Kazakh) beauty all over, but at the same time everything (nearly) in black and white, silent, eternal, earth - empty, without people, only three lonely fighting artists with their crafts and power (Dimash and his two best musician-friends Renat Gaissin u. Olshaz Qurmanbek (sorry, don't know their spelling right now) ) who speak and fight for the earth to survive, pray and fight for life and humanity - they burn and fight until the end. Life (and civilization, achievements of men, symbolized by the piano) is fragile, endangered, you feel destruction and death before it has happened (blood down the qobyz, piano in the water, burning piano and dying pianist) - so moving, so sad. And the wolf right in the beginning - closes its eyes, and doesn't open them again, doesn't want to see (what is coming) - such a powerful image as you said! Just some small things which come to my mind when I see the video. I LOVE it, I love when Dimash and his friends make great deep Kazakh songs and music, I love when Dimash is praying in his songs - because he is the one I really believe in, he is trustworthy and it is not a show, this comes from the bottom of his heart, his love, his pain, his sorrows, his kindness, his graciousness, his grief - his Well-wishing for everyone on this planet, that all may be happy... He gives me hope into mankind when there is not much hope left in these times... But as he shows in the video: fights, pain, struggle, trials must be endured in order to (re)find hope and life... Sorry, too much, I stop here. 🙏 Thank you again, much love!
Thank you! This is so powerful. I believe that the beginning says: "Great steppe ... There are descendants who survived after bloody wars and strife, descendants are still alive who, despite the difficulties, have not lost their hospitality, generosity, descendants are still alive - the patrons of the Great Steppe, which is unfathomable to strangers." translation by Anna Ludwig-k I love the Kobyz/Qobyz! I love the seriousness and sincerity from Dimash and his people. The video is absolutely stunning! Dimash ends in a major to give us hope. I've been waiting for your review/analysis of Qairan Elim, and this was very satisfying. You always see and point out things that I miss.
For me, the reason for the use of fire is contained in the references to the practice of tempering near the beginning. It says that the trials of life temper us. Steel is tempered by fire to make it strong enough to manufacture swords. So enduring the struggles of life (the past history of Kazakhstan shown in the intro, plus the pandemic) makes it possible to see that major chord and green hills at the end.
Here is the translation of the intro to "Qairan elim," which was performed in the clip by the charismatic and impressive voice of Yisbek Abilmazhinov. „Great steppe ... There are descendants who survived after bloody wars and strife, descendants are still alive who, despite the difficulties, have not lost their hospitality, generosity, descendants are still alive - the patrons of the Great Steppe, which is unfathomable to strangers. " The fighting scenes at the beginning are footage from the movie „Tomiris“. The entire music video was recorded in the region of Almaty.
I always love your reactions. In-depth analysis is very informative, even if i don't totally understand chord structure. LOL. I love music but am not a musician. Dimash is playing in Prague on November 22nd and Dusseldorf on November 24th if you were so inclined to go. I know you snuck your way in to Budapest without making much of a splash. But if you do go, I hope to see you there.
Thank you! Maybe you'll be a chord structure pro in the future Unfortunately I can't attend the November concerts Which one are you attending? I'm sure you'll have a cracking time
Master Kobyz... Your piercing wail shatters a mountain valley Do you cry out in search of your ancient pod Arid land- has the ocean shed it's final tear Swallowed by a warning metronome Gentle piano note Shaft of light The brave whisper of a solitary Kazik man He sings of Love of Laughter of Hope 🕊🌹 (I did find the end of the video very disturbing. the above scribble is my way to understand songs and artists that I truly love. And feel. I watched your analysis many times--esp. the piano demos. I love quiet reflective Dimash.) 🌸
I couldn't find the written translation for the introduction but here is the video with English subtitles just for the first minute of the introduction. ua-cam.com/video/hjChc1hQrZY/v-deo.htmlsi=9g8oOFFQ5guoN67s
💝😢💝 My suggestions for future Dimash reactions are "Daididau" (the Singer contest -from G. Wu channel with backstory, and Bastau concert - both performances are epic), "Our Love" (Masked Singer contest), "Kusni Korlan" (Fuzhou concert, fancam), "Battle of Memories" (MV). If you are interested to listen to another next-level singer/composer/arranger, you may react to Hua Chenyu, a Chinese superstar. He came up second in the Singer contest in 2018 and won the contest in 2020. You may check out "Fake Monk" from Singer 2018.
Check out my reaction to Dimash's new song next ua-cam.com/video/6OzOX5znCfI/v-deo.html

I know you are going to ask, so I found the translation for the mini-movie that was before the official start of the Music.

💔❤🔥❤
Sir Hairless, I'm really happy to find your reactions to Dimash! Such deep analysis, so valuable! Thanks for everything! I wish you happiness and success! Greetings from Bulgaria!
The Story of One Sky LIVE and his fantastic video.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Çok bilgilendirici açıklamalardı. Teşekkürler🎉🎉
An amazing country, isn't IT? and a wonderful Analysis
It looks it for sure, so beautiful Danke!
Really great analysis and reaction to one of my favourite music videos, thank-you! I learn a lot about music theory from you, too.
Hello Sir !!
Hi, have you seen that Dimash is currently in Paris?
@@mariecarmenW3578 He's also doing some modelling for Lanvin too!
YES I saw that too 👍🙏🏼
DIMASH y su maravillosa voz aireada ❤❤❤
Ohhh Mr Hairless....I knew you were going to Love this song.... This song still gives me chills every time i listen to it!!
Please react to "River of love" ❤
Hi Sir Hairless
You love music, right?.. It's easy for me to understand your passion, for the composition, for the arrangement, for the lyrics, for all the details, you break everything down to the detail, for me you're fantastic too.
Brave Hairless Sir 👏
Some might say I love music Thank you!
My friends and I went in search of that rock in the lake that he stood on during the climax of this song. We had to trek though freezing water. It was much deeper than in the video and we had to go barefoot. It was a great treasure hunt. Our guide thought it was hillarious because we used the video like a map to find it. 😅
Sounds like an adventure 🏔 hopefully was worth it!
Try Sundet and Dimash in Notre Dame de Paris. An older one. I always wonder how it would be presented now that Dimash's voice has matured.
I wish !
Ačiū❤❤
Yes, moving and emotive.
Your reactions to Dimash's art is the highlight of the day ❤ Thanks again 🇬🇷
Video shot in Kazakhstan.
The live performances of this song are even more amazing, but this video is wonderful.
bravo Dimash👏👏👏thank you👍❤
Another great analysis. Thank you.
Thanks again for another so interesting reaction and your emotional commitment ❤
❤❤❤🎉
Dmash ❤😂🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you,
I loved this analysis, for this hauntingly beautiful experience with Dimash!
Thank you!❤
Thank you for your reaction and analysis .
Thank you, very interesting 👌🏽
One of my favorite interpretation ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Please, next Qaragum Ai
To me the ticking sound sounds like a metronome. Symbolising passing time.
Every time that I think you won’t have that much to talk about, your videos become extra long. 😂 Love that you surprise me every time. 😊❤
As does Dimash. That video is so powerful visually. And the song is magnificent and heartbreaking. 💔
Next reaction: Amanat please 😊🙏❤️
In the part where we see Renat Gaissim playing a burning piano, or dying in the lake, we have an analogy to the martyrs who died for the independence of Kazakhstan, or the people who were victims of COVID! After the sacrifice, the dawn of more hopeful times will come!
😞
But 🤞🏽to the more hopeful times!
You're twisting history, this has never happened. If you don't know the right story, then it's better not to write anything.
❤Dank u wel!
great reaction. They might have already told you but the piano player is the one who wrote the song. Beautiful song, beautiful scenery
THX you for your nice reaction, always on point! You described exactly the meaning of it. Wonderful song! DQ
Will need to have a look at that!! My interest is piqued
💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Thank you for your comment. Definitely an emotional one
The Story OF ONE SKY LIVE LIVE LIVE He will be the only ONE to sing this song LIVE ever
❤
❤❤❤❤
Just a small point, Dimash didn’t compose it ❤
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Thank you! This is so powerful. I believe that the beginning says: "Great steppe ...
🤩👏👍🌹💐🥰❤️🇨🇦
For me, the reason for the use of fire is contained in the references to the practice of tempering near the beginning. It says that the trials of life temper us. Steel is tempered by fire to make it strong enough to manufacture swords. So enduring the struggles of life (the past history of Kazakhstan shown in the intro, plus the pandemic) makes it possible to see that major chord and green hills at the end.
At some point, you should watch his music video ...The Story of One Sky.Sooner would be better ....thanks.
Here is the translation of the intro to "Qairan elim," which was performed in the clip by the charismatic and impressive voice of Yisbek Abilmazhinov.
„Great steppe ... There are descendants who survived after bloody wars and strife, descendants are still alive who, despite the difficulties, have not lost their hospitality, generosity, descendants are still alive - the patrons of the Great Steppe, which is unfathomable to strangers. "
The fighting scenes at the beginning are footage from the movie „Tomiris“. The entire music video was recorded in the region of Almaty.
Please react to Dimash "opera 2", "smoke", "when I've got you", "be with me".
Your piercing
wail
shatters
a mountain
valley
Do you cry out in
search of your
ancient pod
Arid land-
has the ocean shed
it's final tear
Swallowed
by a warning
metronome
Gentle
piano
note
Shaft of
light
The brave
whisper of
a solitary
Kazik man
He sings of
Love
of
Laughter
of
Hope 🕊🌹
(I did find the end of the video very disturbing.
the above scribble is my way to understand songs
and artists that I truly love. And feel.
I watched your analysis many times--esp. the piano
demos. I love quiet reflective Dimash.) 🌸
Thank you for that, Elle
I couldn't find the written translation for the introduction but here is the video with English subtitles just for the first minute of the introduction.

Thanks Debbie! A few others have commented the translation, one of the first comments on this video in fact
💝😢💝
My suggestions for future Dimash reactions are "Daididau" (the Singer contest -from G.
I love you ❤. Fai sempre le versioni live… sono meglio 🇮🇹♥️🇰🇿
Où avez vous trouvé la partition ?
I made it 🎹
