You must be joking. My wife watches loads of films all the time and really takes an interest in quality drama from around the world. She does not think she is a good actress compared to many others and finds it laughable that she is lauded. The same applies to Stephen Graham- his poor Welsh accent is a case in point. Her face does not seem to demonstrate much expression, something I thought was a quality in any good actor.

As an American, you're right, I can't hear any Scouse. I've heard quite a bit of it, but picked up on nothing here.
Saw a live screening of Prima Facie. It is utterly incredible, she is wonderful in it. One of the best theatrical performances I’ve seen in a while. As she is the sole cast member, it’s astounding the amount of work she had/has to do. As an actor myself she has my upmost respect and admiration. If you get the chance go and see the play.

I’m not usually a fan of theatre but I watched a live stream of her in prima facie and OMG I thought I’d seen great acting but she was absolutely unbelievable. The best performance by anyone I have ever seen. I was in SHOCK.
Where was the cinema: I watched to see IF it would be in U.S. , then got injured, hospital and never saw.

Was it sent to cinema in the U.S.? If so, I didn't see the announcement. I saw a National Theatre stream of "a streetcar named desire" and was grateful to see a West End play. Very inclusive experience.
@@KindCountsDeb3773 On July 21, 2022, The National Theater showed a taped performance of Prima Facie, starring Jodie Comer, at movie theatres across the United States. Now that she’s doing Prima Facie on Broadway, perhaps they will do the same thing again.

Saw Prima Facie when it was shown in a movie theater event last year. All I can say is she is IMMENSELY talented to keep that type of energy up and running for two+ hours.

Stephen Graham is another fantastic Liverpudlian actor. They were both in Help together which was a programme about a nursing home during the pandemic.
4:40 Stephen Graham is an amazing actor (with a strong scouse accent), he played Al Capone in Boardwalk Empire, he was Tony Pro in the Irishman and in Gangs Of New York, Peaky Blinders, This Is England, Pirates Of The Caribbean too

So strange to hear her speak with her natural accent, I'm so used to her voice in Killing Eve! And she is stunningly beautiful! Great dress too! And in Australian English we'll also use the term 'chockas'. Means it is packed out wall to wall.
That's not even her natural accent. She makes it more posh in interviews so people can understand her lol

@@MichaelSorensen-bl3ec Oh, for sure -- no one recognizes me when I use my "customer service voice," haha! I was caught off guard when I first heard her speak outside of her Killing Eve accents, then I was even more surprised when I heard her drop the posh and go into her thick Liverpudlian accent.
@@kjvankirk5070 So true. I've had to learn to adopt many levels of accents through my profession, as I have had to deal with many other nationalities. Try speaking with a heavy Danish or Australian accent to Americans and they just become confused!

Jodie is the real deal, fantastic actor, super gorgeous and as a Brit I’m telling you she’s dialled her scouse accent down to about a 2 out of 10 for the American audience
It is often said xx is the ‘best actor of their generation’ - this time it’s true. She was phenomenal in Prima Facie in London, I envy anyone who gets to see her in New York. I’m also glad that she kept her accent - it some how makes her characters journey so much more poignant.
