Still under debate until Tatiana confirms (if she does). I've personally been pointed more toward Georgia O'Keeffe after advocating for it being Frida. On her Instagram, Tati asked an open ended question, "Who is this painter?" with the still from the video. She referred the answers to the Jinjer Insta, but has yet to post as I am currently aware of.
@@danalawrence4473 Possible that Frida "dressed down" while in her workshop, though there is a famous image of Georgia with the vest and a very similar hairstyle.

I can be mad though about a super amazing song being ruined by a hyper feminist annoying me the whole song. Tati is cooler than any man or woman. The songs lyrical content already did what was necessary. My biggest regret in life is not finding Jinjer when my sister was still alive. It would have finally gotten her into metal and brought us closer. 😢

Been waiting for this one and as always, the 2 of you never disappoint. I'm fairly certain the painter is Frida Kahlo, a big inspiration to Tatiana and hence the tattoo of her on her arm. I love that message, and Tatiana herself embodies it. It's a pretty good insight into her view of herself, and I think it's super encouraging.
It's been brought to my attention that Tatiana's tattoo is a recreation of a portrait of Amy Winehouse AS Frida Kahlo by an artist called Carolina Gallo. Go figure. If this is correct, one could say that tatt is Frida on a roundabout way. Both ladies are inspirational to Tatiana. In no way am I trying to contradict you mate, and I may perhaps be playing a game of telephone, but I did reference back to make sure I got it correct as posted to me. The other option to strongly consider is Georgia O'Keeffe as there is a famous image of her with a very similar hairstyle as well as the vest.

Not the Iron Throne from GOT, but has a similar design. She’s portraying four notable women from history. Cool video idea. And musically, it’s totally Jinjer. Can’t put them in a single category.

This is so impressive musically. They just get better. The message too. Powerful female. Questionable results recently, but this! This is the way to do it because as a man I am impressed. This is the way to do it. Women take note. Absolute boss without being shitty about it. Goddamn this song is good!

You can NEVER go wrong reacting to Jinjer! Can't wait for the new album to drop, this is just a tease, but I'll take it! In interviews Tati has said all the songs on the album share a common thread/theme, really looking forward to seeing how it all develops. Could the painter have been Georgia O'Keefe?
I think it is Georgia O'Keeffe. Tati said it was maybe half of the maybe 12 songs that seem to fit together. I'm hoping for a multi-part epic concept tune ala Spiritbox's Fear of Fear, or even 2112 by Rush. Fingers crossed.

This is *A LOT* to take in on first listen. LOL The melody, harmony, rhythmic change-ups, syncopation on top of that.... so much brain-tickling complexity from the lads.... & then Tatiana manages to come up with those vocal lead & harmony lines over the top o_O She doesn't get enough credit for the quality of writing she creates over the lads' already complex music.
Hopefully I don't have to wait too long to buy a new Jinjer album. :)

I think the painter is Frida Khalo, I know Tati likes her. I’m with you on the headless basses, I remember when my guy Phil Lesh started playing a Steinberger and it sounded like mush. It was noticeable when he changed back in ‘88. You guys are great!

The prevailing opinions on Tati's portrayals you got - Joan of Arc, Cleopatra, Marie Curie. My opinion on the artist is Frida Kahlo, a Mexican artist that Tati has a tattoo of. I've seen people speculating it's Georgia O'Keefe but Frida makes more sense to me.

I saw Poison back in the 80's and the bassist was so hammered, he couldn't stand, he sat on the side of the drum platform and attempted to play, not even sure he could get into the rhythm...
Lol Poison was so hilarious back then. I saw them five times, opening for other bands, and they were memorably bad. Three times out of five they were virtually booed off stage.
I've seen some pretty epic drunk performances lol. I was at the US Festival in 83 when Van Halen took the stage so hammered it's a wonder they could move. They kicked ass anyway--but they were upstaged by Scorpions who played right before them.
@@ericpeterson7512 I guess the kicker was Poison sounded so bad, I didn't know what their opening song was until I heard the chorus - look what the cat dragged in, which was a well known song. Kinda surprised with the Van Halen story, I always thought the brothers were a bit more straight laced than that. Scorpions were always good 🤘
@@palladinodessa8988 lol no way on the Halen brothers! Those dudes were waste cases! Check out the documentary video for the US Festival. Halen had a huge party tent with everything you can possibly imagine available for the taking. They proceeded to get lit the whole day of the show. Roth got in a fight with Joe Strummer of The Clash. They ripped, but they stumbled out onstage looking somewhat bewildered after Scorpions murdered the crowd lol

Jinjer is over. This song is an absolute mess. Tatiana used to be THE lyric goddess and her lyrics have become quite juvenile. The instrumentation was very...I don't know...just sounding like musicians with little to no experience. The song sounded like they couldn't figure out what direction they wanted to take so they just threw a jumbled mess together and called it a song.
Finally, someone said this! I don't understand why people just ignore this. No songwriting anymore, just random riffs and semi-improvised vocals. The tones are getting better, but the songs are getting worse! IMHO
