I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Jerry Kayson thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I know this was awhile ago but I just made one using your video. Everything looks great except the 2“ washer didn't work out for me. it's too loose inside the 2“ pipe tightening & loosening the wing does nothing on this model but I will go back to Lowe's get another test plug & try making it smaller like you did. This was an exceptional instructional vid. Super easy to follow
Pretty sure this is 2nd time I've watched this video. Must not have hit the LIKE button 1st time. :( Hint that I haven't tried yet. Saw a guy putting holes in 5 gallon buckets with spade bit. He ran drill in reverse. Seemed to go through plastic easier. Getting ready to make one of these. Let you know if reverse was easier. His didn't grab as hard
Looks simple to build but I have a dumb question what is a test plug and where do I get one. Are they in the same section as pvc parts in store or another section. Looks good though
They will be in the same plumbing section. They will be with the fittings. Sometimes it’s tough to find everything because there’s so many different sizes and whatnot, so you could always just show the guy the list and they could get everything pretty quick for you!
found ya through a FB vid. The one that has most views btw. And I dig your content. I am inland in MN (land of 10,000 lakes) So i am familiar with fishing. but ALL saltwater is new to me. I love seeing this stuff dude! If I were to race to an ocean, I wouldn't know to go east or west (North to the frozen one maybe?). I am as far from an ocean as ya get. So this stuff is very cool for me to see

Or just do it right and use a hole saw and run it in reverse......HF has a hole saw kit for $18. There is a cheaper $13 kit but it goes from 1" to 1-1/4" as the $18 goes from 1" to 1-1/8" which would work better for 3/4" PVC where the cheaper kit would work better for 1" PVC.They also have brad point bit set for $6... If one can't afford those then one can't afford to fish... Also when gluing PVC one has to use the PVC cleaner or acetone (same but cheaper by volume) 1st then apply the glue.Just using glue and no cleaner will ensure the joint will come apart at some point, sometimes sooner than later. Also to reduce the size of the one side of the test cap just put your bolt through the cap, screw on your wingnut and chuck it into the drill you have to make the holes. Then just run it over sandpaper, concrete, asphalt,or anything of the like that is rough. This will make it near perfectly round.
Great video! Thanks for sharing that know how. I have been going down to Dauphin Island for the last 4 years, I'll be down there 3/25 - 4/7 this year. Do you think it would be worth it for me to make one and carry in the surf cart on the west end? Are there ghost shrimp there? Any info would be much appreciated. I live in the UP on south shore of Lake superior, I drive down every year with a chest freezer wired up to battery bank in the truck. Love Alabama especially the coast.
@@BeardedBrad92, - In SA, 🇿🇦, we have plastic bait suction pumps, that we also refer to as prawn pumps, with handles on. I have two Australian Alvey, steel pumps, are made with handles on. Alvey reels etc are imported into USA. They are much more advanced with handles on them! 🦐
Also, on all of my pumps, I put a level end, pipe end cap, onto my washer system, facing down! I made a hole close to the level end, to get split pin thru the metal rod, as threads on my pump's rod are worn down! Or put washer in place, turn nut onto rod! This hollow shape increases suction power!...🦐🦐🦐 On my plastic pumps, I file a slight curve edge, from outside of bottom of plastic pipe, and on the shaft edge, below washers, sloping inwards, this makes it a little easier to push pump into sand or mud! !🎣_🦐-🦐-🦐-🦐_🎣!
When I use my drill with the spade bit, should I start and stop the drill a hundred times like you did, or can I just start it once and drill the hole?
At lowe’s in Alabama you can get all parts for under $20. This assumes you already have drill bits glue lying around. But just the parts in the pump all together are under $20

@Jerry Kayson It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my account :D
@Edwin Daxton happy to help xD
I added a t at the top 2 inch pipe, 2 x 2 x 3/4 to have a handle to hold the 2 inch, really helps. Thanks for the rest of the info👍🇺🇸🙏
Best video I’ve seen on this build. Easiest with least amount of parts well done brother
my son and I build one this morning after watching your chip , thanks ☺️
2 inch washer... excellent idea. Enjoyed the video, looking forward to more.
Thank you! I appreciate it!!
Gulf Coast Fishing DIY! 🐟🎣👍😎 Nice easy to follow build!
Thank you!🤙
that's awesome. great job on the tutorial. ingenuity. necessity is the mother of invention.
Fishing Fools thank you! I appreciate that!
I love your workbench where did U get it?
excellent video !! ended up using two inch washer, can't wait to try it, Thank You !!
Nice demo on DIY pump....thanks
Thanks dude!
A good subsitute for the plug is one of those small blue handball balls. You don't need to cut it. You just drill holes for the bolt and that's it.
That’s a good idea!
This is very cool and simple. I'll be trying this out! Thanks so much!
Yes sir. Thanks for checking it out
Thumbs up for suggesting the washer. It’s just easier.
Hey Brad , try using a Clear Pipe.
For that, Exposed look. You see inside when you gather your Ghost Shrimp 🦐.
clear pipe ust as cheap? 👀I dont see them in the stores
Thanks, Brad I need one of these up here in NC. Saw you on the Bama Beach Bums channel, really enjoy both of yalls channels.
Thanks loads , I’ll be making one before I go to the beach again
Yes sir! Definitely a must have when going after big pompano!
Great video! I'm definitely making one when I get to Orange Beach
Awesome!
Brad thanks I have been talking to Julie and Brent about the shrimp and then found your pump vid just thanks for the info bro JLowe
Awesome...house quarantine going on ill make these this weekend
Awesome!! Super easy and worth every penny
Thanks for the video. Great work bench!
Thanks for sharing a great idea and a simple design that obviously works you're good dude

@BeardedBrad92 Thanks for tutorial! Quick question, does the inner diameter of the washer matter?
Thanks, gonna try to make one

Just finished mine, thanks for the vid.
Awesome! Glad it helped!
Making one this weekend!!!
Hey Brad, Great video!!! Do we get ghost shrimp on the east coast? Flagler or Ormond Beach? Orlando Ron
They’re over that way, best to go out at low tide
Instead of a test plug you can also use a racquet ball. That’s what we used to use on the west coast
I think you have to use a larger outer PVC if you use that…been a while…28 years to be exact
Great video!! Now that you have two are you going to sell or give one away?

Thanks for sharing, greatly appreciate it
Always wanted one so following your video I made it Mahalo
Awesome video. Thank you🔥
Great job
Good stuff thanks
Brilliant video thank you for sharing

@@BeardedBrad92 would this work if you replaced the plastic pipe with stainless steel, only asking as where i live we pump for lugworm.
I’m sure it would work just as good
Thanks Brad

great video but who has cheaper prices? Lowes or Home depot?
Thanks!
I didn’t compare prices, but they’re going to be pretty much the same on most these items.
Bearded Brad Okay thank you!
Great Job great video
Where's your PPE bruh? Lol great vid, came over from the fwb fishing page. Subbed!
Haha thanks dude!! I appreciate it!
Great video.
Salty McCrory thanks man! You got a shout out coming in the next one! Stay tuned!!🤣🤣
Let’s fish Saturday.
Thank You! Nice and easy…
If youre like me & dont have power tools. measuring & cutting with a hot (stove) knife works too
Any way I can reduce the intake smaller for tiny crevices? I’m using for gold panning
You can use smaller PVC. You just put a reducer on the end, that would probably still work
Thank you for making me one man! 😝
Come back to visit and we’ll get ya one!
Bearded Brad I come every year! Our friend owns that condo so it makes it hard to go anywhere else! Lol
Pure Living For Outdoors that’s awesome! Well see ya next year then!
Bearded Brad to be honest I’m hoping this fall 😂😂😂
Well be here! Bull red fishing is on fire in the fall!
Where did you get the test plug from?
Lowe’s
Whats the washer for?
Thank you very much
You got it!
Thank you much 🙏
1 1/8” hole saw is perfect for the hole on the 2” cap. Almost done with mine
Thanks
I'm confused. You used a 1" drill to drill into the 2" cap to accept the 3/4" PVC? It's the 3/4" PVC actually 1"?
The 3/4 is interior dimensions. Exterior is 1"
Very nice
Thanks!
Where did you get the test plug
I got everything from Lowe’s
Namaste Batman!
Put a handle just under the top cap!....
It makes pumping So Much Easier!.... 🙂
I’ve seen some like that. Definitely a good idea!

You have to start and stop 100 times to get it just right!
