@@officerspooder i watched BCS before breaking bad and the way this whole thing crumbled down to the public in 2 years is hilarious lol Some of the BCS characters like Nacho loves their family despite their underworld connections and he doesn't want his father getting involved and he successfully did that, same goes with Jimmy prior to Chuck dying, and Mike But Walter's family is so nosy with him going to the drug business that they mostly contributed to the majority of Walt's decision consequently fucking up the drug business and anyone involved lol
This scene makes you cry about the death of one of the most horrifying characters ever shown on a TV screen. That's how you know Vince Gilligan has made a masterpiece
This is such a powerful ending. He WON. He left 9 million dollars to his family, he gained respect among everybody, and he never went to jail for it. He was satisfied. He finished his original goal. Cancer was going to take him, but he decided to go out on his own terms.
“Didn’t know you’d think that I’d forget or id regret the special love I had for you” while he was touching the pressure cooker thing was the most poetic
For me, it’s the “Kept you waiting there, too long my love All that time, without a word Didn't know you'd think, that I'd forget, or I'd regret The special love I have for you, my baby blue” Perfectly sums up the series and the viewers
you reminded of a scene in the finale where walt visits his abandoned house and has a flashback back to the pilot episode, where hank tells him to get some excitement in his life, and he responds "someday", and then camera cuts to the today's walt
1. When Walt is looking around the meth lab, he doesnt mess with any knobs or buttons, jesse has made a perfect batch. Not only did he succeed as a chemist, but he also succeeded as a teacher 2. The title, "felina" is a reference to a song called el Paso. The character in that song fell in love with a girl called felina, got shot by his own bullet, then dies in her arms. Walt fell in love with making meth, got shot by his own bullet, and died in a meth lab. 3. Speaking of el paso, it's the song walt heard in his car earlier in the episode, and he's also humming it while he assembles the car gun 4. The series began and ended with cops and sirens coming for walt, from the opening and closing scenes 5. The title felina is also an anagram for finale 6. The title felina is also a combination of the formula Fe Li Na. Iron, lithium, sodium. Blood, meth, and tears 7. When walt looked at a big tank in the lab, his face was distorted to look like he was bald with a goatee 8. He blood smear was a w 9. The light above him makes a crosshair on his left lung, that's where he got his cancer diagnosis 10. In an earlier episode, Walter has a lot of his money stolen then he goes into this hysterical laughing/crying/screaming fit. It acts as the spiritual death of Walter white because he is a completely changed individual after that. When we last see jesse in the show, he is driving away having a very similar fit, and he is a completely changed person in el camino. I think that acted as the spiritual death of jesse pinkman 11. Speaking of the cars, the Cadillac has the license plate number "jg8-516" a reference to season 5 episode 16. The last episode of the show 12. The way hank died was the way jack(hank's killer) died. Halfway through a sentence with a shot to the head 13. The song playing when walt died was baby blue by badfinger. The lyrics are very reminiscent of walter white's love affair with his blue meth 14. The clothes walt is wearing is the same outfit he was wearing in the pilot episode
0:52 Is arguably the best scene in the entire show, The way Walt lies there on the ground satisfied with his actions and hoping his family lives a better life than him, even though they didn't believed him that he went through all of this just for them, He enjoyed what he did showed by the last place he went to, leaving his blood marks on the machine he worked with the most and also the song going "my baby blue" Walter felt that the drug he cooked was like his baby, Something he loved, Realising that he's partner who went through all of this with him is finally free and can live a new life without any consequences. He can finally feel a moment of peace without anything bothering him, No work, No family issues, No people trying to kill him, No police going after him, no angry partner trying to destroy his last days, And no more lying. It was refreshing for him especially for his last seconds
Almost a decade later and I decided to give BB a chance. Today, I just finished the last episode, yet I don't know what to watch after this MASTERPIECE. Greatest series ever produced. Can't say it enough greatest SERIES AND GREATEST ACTOR EVER!!!!
Even though he wasn’t there for too long, I think Tuco might have been my favorite. Watching Homelander in the boys has made me remember how scary Tuco was.
Hard to say. The way Gilligan depicted these studio executives on the edges of their seats when he pitched the show to a nobody outfit like AMC, compared to all the bigger TV networks that only followed the bottom dollar and shunted him away, speaks volumes. I'm guessing that, as well as having a really solid production team, they were also given a network not overtly powerful and greedy enough that allowed the team to do exactly what they saw fit. Just about every TV outfit ever absolutely screws the pooch with even the best shows because Networks and the politics behind it all just cannot help themselves.
He tied up all loose ends before he died. He avenged Hank. He saved Jesse and let him go. He died on his own terms and surrounded by what he loved most: chemistry. He secured his family's financial future with 9 million. That was the whole reason he started to cook meth and went down the heinous path he went through. In the end, Walt won. And he did what he told Hank. *He would never see the inside of a prison cell.*

I just finished this show. This last scene killed me. Mainly the song paired with his face at the end. It's a face that shows Heisenberg happy that he won but also a face that shows Walt wishes things could've been normal. Gutwrenching show.
Yeah sadly he didn’t deserve any of it yes at first it was truly for his family but he later saw he could get what he really really wanted in life which was people knowing who he was and what he did and a little respect and power but it took over slowly and slowly I really dislike a lot of walts actions as the show goes on but I can never fully dislike him
Jay i agree, i never understood why people always want a happy ending all the time. This is reality, people dig themselves in deeper shit and cant get out, thats real. Having him stay alive wouldve just been too phoney, especially having an M60 round go through your body and bleed out for that long, comon.
I really love how in the end it doesn‘t even show his family‘s reaction. We just see a lifeless Walter White with a little smirk on his face and his eyes looking into the ceiling. Goes on to prove that everything he did, he in fact did all of it for himself.
Watching this scene again after hearing “Atleast you didn’t wait your whole life until you decided to do something great.” Just shows how happy he genuinely was in his last moments. He accomplished everything he had left to do.

In some weird twisted way, this is sorta a happy ending for Walt. His family is taken care of indefinitely, he freed Jesse from the neo Nazis, he tied up all the lose ends in his life, and he didn’t die from cancer… he died from a gunshot shot wound but hey, you win some you lose some.
he went out on his own terms, evading capture and dying in the place he felt most alive, the place that he could be himself with all the bottled up remorse and anger built up through the years
In my opinion both endings are good. Felina is the perfect ending for Breaking Bad and Saul Gone is the perfect ending for Better Call Saul Both endings are just different to each other (I still find BCS globally better than BB as a whole show but both are masterpieces)
The ending of BREAKING BAD broke my heart. As big a monster as Walt/Heisenberg was, he was an iconic character, and I loved him. And then, of course, just knowing the show was over. But it ended exactly when, where and how it needed to end.

Who would’ve though out of all of those shows ranging from dragons to people stuck on a deserted island a show about a junkie and his chemistry teacher starting a meth lab in the back of RV would be the greatest one of all!
It's not that thy didn't make it. They reached near perfection but continued and lost. Walt said that he should've died when his family had the money but this is exactly when he should've died. Perfect ending
“Did you really think… I’d do you wrong.” Hits me every time ffs. He did everything for the people he cared about and most importantly, himself. Finished the episode last night and still broken seeing this scene. What a masterpiece of a show.
Powerful scene. Walt died the way he wanted to. His pride in tact, after destroying the neo-Nazi's and ensuring his blue meth will never see the streets again, and surrounded by chemistry. The guy died alone with everyone who was ever in his life, hating him, but sadly Walt couldn't give a fuck. His pride and chemistry were this monster's only true loves. Hats off to Vince Gilligan and Bryan Cranston for creating, and perfecting such a tragic character.
I wouldn't say he didn't care that everyone hated him, he just accepted the fact the he botched things up and there was nothing more he could other than see things through to the end.
Blue meth will never see the streets again? Well, Jesse's still alive. It's highly unlikely that he'll ever cook again but still, he knows the formula.
If that were true, then he wouldn't have thrown away $80 million (even though Jack gave him $10 million back) trying to save Hank and he wouldn't have died saving Jesse's life.
Wouldn't say his pride was in tact, no way not after what happened to hank and his own son washing his hands of him, he just got the better of those who crossed him and even though hank did try to bring him down he still cared for him. You can see at the end the weight of all the guilt on his shoulders over all his wrongdoings.
Here's how it's described in the screenplay: We slowly CRANE UP, UP and AWAY from him. Walt shrinks smaller and smaller in frame. POLICE OFFICERS approach him now -- four, six, eight of them. They move in cautiously, their guns aimed. They're too late. He got away.

In the end he won. He got to live the life he always wanted, he got respect, he was feared. He provided for his family, he tied up every lose end, and he never got caught. Heisenberg is one of the most badass and indomitable characters in fiction.

Some of the BCS characters like Nacho loves their family despite their underworld connections and he doesn't want his father getting involved and he successfully did that, same goes with Jimmy prior to Chuck dying, and Mike
But Walter's family is so nosy with him going to the drug business that they mostly contributed to the majority of Walt's decision consequently fucking up the drug business and anyone involved lol

And same clothes
1. When Walt is looking around the meth lab, he doesnt mess with any knobs or buttons, jesse has made a perfect batch. Not only did he succeed as a chemist, but he also succeeded as a teacher
2. The title, "felina" is a reference to a song called el Paso. The character in that song fell in love with a girl called felina, got shot by his own bullet, then dies in her arms. Walt fell in love with making meth, got shot by his own bullet, and died in a meth lab.
3. Speaking of el paso, it's the song walt heard in his car earlier in the episode, and he's also humming it while he assembles the car gun
4. The series began and ended with cops and sirens coming for walt, from the opening and closing scenes
5. The title felina is also an anagram for finale
6. The title felina is also a combination of the formula Fe Li Na. Iron, lithium, sodium. Blood, meth, and tears
7. When walt looked at a big tank in the lab, his face was distorted to look like he was bald with a goatee
8. He blood smear was a w
9. The light above him makes a crosshair on his left lung, that's where he got his cancer diagnosis
10. I think that acted as the spiritual death of jesse pinkman
11. Speaking of the cars, the Cadillac has the license plate number "jg8-516" a reference to season 5 episode 16. The last episode of the show
12. The way hank died was the way jack(hank's killer) died. Halfway through a sentence with a shot to the head
13. The song playing when walt died was baby blue by badfinger. The lyrics are very reminiscent of walter white's love affair with his blue meth

It’s honestly a miracle how close to perfect this show remained throughout its whole run
It was perfect
He tied up all loose ends before he died.
He avenged Hank.
He saved Jesse and let him go.
He died on his own terms and surrounded by what he loved most: chemistry.
He secured his family's financial future with 9 million. That was the whole reason he started to cook meth and went down the heinous path he went through.
In the end, Walt won. And he did what he told Hank. *He would never see the inside of a prison cell.*

What a masterpiece of a show.
