I've got two of these and they're absolutely brilliant, however, the suction cup mounts simply do not hold, so...... I've taken to just wrap an elastic band around the whole kit and it works flawlessly. Currently using on the A6700 and the ZV-E1.
So, with this fan, does the A6700 become an FX30? I mean, the FX30 does come with an internal fan, and it has the same sensor, right? Oh, and not to mention that the A6700 does take great photos as it is a hybrid camera, something the FX30 can't say as its purpose is to be a video camera first (Sony cinema line of cameras). If that's the case, I can see myself purchasing a couple of a6700 with these fans to use at weddings to capture from different angles without fear of the camera shutting down due to the heat.
how did they work out for you? My biggest question that I haven't found an answer to is whether you can hear it or if it affects pixerl noise in high iso. I imagine a motor would generate enough of a magnetic field to possibly affect the sensor which is very close

The viewfinder is only 1 cm... Do you have any difficulty using the small viewfinder with spectacles? I love using viewfinder so want to know whether its easy or difficult to use the small viewfinder with glasses...
2 surprise to me. 1. without fan only 24 degree it only record 20ish mins for 50p..That worse than I thought. 2. one battery can only record just one hour and 10ish mins. That is quite poor for Sony standard.
Why did u let the camera cool down when testing with the fan and running out of battery? 🤦 You were just testing the camera's battery life. Would've been important to know whether it can continue recording indefinitely right a way after changing the battery. Also the noise test was too rushed, the fan was still spinning up when u changed the speed and then ended the test.
Am I dumb? Because I cannot understand how this fan would work if there is a giant adhesive strip between the fan and the camera. Is there even any “vents” for airflow in and out of a weather sealed body? The results speak for themself but my neanderthal brain cannot comprehend this. 😂 Good to know about this product regardless. 👍

HOW LONG CAN YOU RECORD 4K60 ON ZVE1 USING THIS FAN?
Very nice video but you should have tested it in 100fps or 120fps
Dam, I just watched the video back and I honestly thought I had, but no. Sorry about that. 😞

Don‘t forget it has only 1 SD Card slot. It may never happen but can be critical for something like a wedding if a card fails…
How about for even longer videos? If you stream to a desktop and record video with it while on USB power for the camera, how long will it last?
Great content! One question, can you hear the fan noise in recording? How loud is it comparing to people talking in normal voice?
He tested it in the video
I could not help myself and purchase two. One for now and one for another camera in the future.

Does the thermal sticker leave any residue when/if you can take it off?
Nope, no residue, in fact it can be re-positioned and re-used a number of times.

Hi. Is that a Kiwifotos eyecup?
Magnetic mounting pad would be better than double sided adhesive.
Magnets might interfere with the inner components so not a good idea.

as a Sony shooter, these overheating issues are really pushing me to go all in on Panasonic. LOVE our S5ii....
A7siii doesn’t overheat 😅
@@TravisVarga I have an FX30 also that does not overheat... but did get rid of rest of Sony cameras to go Panasonic. Open gate 6k for the win.

the rear screen closes with the sticker. 🙂

yep.

It should, since it usually does on any camera

You can alter the focus on the viewfinder by the dial on the right hand side of it.
I wear glasses and have no problems 🙂
Hope this helps.
@@TheCameraManReviews yes, thanks for the reply..
I wonder if just shooting in -20C weather would work better for cooling.
Your batteries wouldn't work for very long.
Wish you had tested it without recording for streamers. Do you think 4 hours+ is realistic 4k 30f or go for fx30 and get a separate camera for photos
You are going to be streaming for 4hrs?
Most of the heat is generated by recording to the internal SD card so you should be fine.
Think the camera would overheat in 80-90 degree weather recording 5 min videos?
Should be ok if you turn the power off threshold to High.
very good video
Testing in 24 degree Celsius ambient temperature. 🤦🏻♂️ Come on! 😂
now test it outside. +30C, direct sun . It overheats way faster
That would be a great test.
I bought this 😅
This is a crude device there are other options that use a Peltier solid state cooling plus fan. Suction cups!
Ulanzi have released an updated version that removes the suction cups.

The camera had a metal plate connected to the back pannel inside so if you cool down the back pannel the cooling plate also gets colder.

if it had soft skin effect I would...
