For over 6 years, Mike Greenfield of Pro Home cooks, cooked in a tiny galley style kitchen in his Brooklyn apartment. 6 years and millions of views later he got the chance to build out his dream kitchen studio to take his production to the next level.
I sat down to chat with Mike about his new space in Brooklyn, and have him give us all a tour of the coolest kitchen studio in New York City. We cover kitchen organization ideas, how he designed the kitchen, and how he wants to take his production to the next level.

You have one of the best cooking channels on UA-cam, it’s absurd. I’m looking forward to see you get to the top because your quality is arguably better than everyone but Babish. Like Jeff Nippard, but cooking. Amazing channel man, you’ve been super entertaining during quarantine
What an amazing interview and very production quality! Great transitions, focus on the subject, music volume, everything!
I know I’m late to the video but he has one of the most beautiful kitchens I’ve ever seen, it’s something I hope I later in life I can model my kitchen after
This is great! Been a long time fan of Mike and recently discovered your channel (now a huge fan)! Glad to see you both together, you should collaborate more!
Thank you! It was great to collaborate with him as I've been watching him for a long time as well. Hopefully we can do more in the future.
Excellent videography and sound, Ethan (really sharp HD)! I, too, have been watching Mike Greenfield for a long time and followed his build out, and those acoustic tiles make a big difference. Collabs are vital for growth, not just of the channel but also personally.
Thanks John. I was pleased with how the video came out. They really do. He had acoustic panels all over the places, but I missed getting shots of those. Completely agreed, it was great to sit down with Mike.
If I ever get the opportunity I’m designing my kitchen based of off this kitchen, I get way to much joy out of every detail in this video
Oh boy. I wanted an in-depth tour ever since Mike created the place. Such a great creative space. Superb videography, Ethan. Believe it or not we watch you all they way from Russia. Hahaha. Keep it up, bro. You're on the right path. You'll make it to the top.
Much appreciated!
Awesome! This is super cool to see these two worlds collide!
The subway sign!! Could you please share where did you get it?
Such an awesome space!
Ethan Geeks out in Life like I do in my head
really need to know what was on that bottom bookshelf!!
What bottles do you use for the beer and kombucha?
Probably a dumb question but been trying to find the aprons he uses online and can't. Know what the type of apron is called at least to find similar ones?
How do you compare a gas stove against an induction stove?
where can i get the wooden kitchen island?
Just curious how could you turn that kitchen into A commercial catering kitchen?
Why not re-upload this now.
Ethan do you know the total investment in building this kitchen?
Good question , I’d like to know that as well
Why induction over gas?
SuWoopSparrow
Probably the cost or restrictions of the building. I can’t imagine not seeing the flame on the stove when I cook.
There was likely no gas line. It was a warehouse space. Anyways, induction is quite nice to cook with. It’s just as quick and responsive as gas, without adding excessive heat to the kitchen area.
Thought you guys were brothers
Gotta say I think gorgeous studio is a bit off brand for Pro Home Cooks
I moved to a city where I can afford a house, and his upgrading is giving me a lot of inspiration for my own life upgrades that are happening. So to me, it feels like he has left the college house at the same time I am
I used to love Mike and his brother Josh, and the cooking they did. Mike in his little kitchen was an inspiration to me, but once he went "Pro Home Cooks" it lost its appeal to me. I still think Mike is awesome, but his channel just isn't for me anymore....
fair but it's hard to ask someone to keep doing the same thing for a long time and there are a lot of restrictions working in a tiny kitchen. he obviously wanted to do bigger and better and more efficient food projects and for that you really do need a bigger space with more polish
