I've gone to Olympic National Park in early October the past 3 years in a row and stayed in both Port Townsend and Port Angeles. Hotels are significantly more affordable then, the fall colours are on full display and the crowds are gone. I love it there so much I'll probably go back again next October!

I wish people would show Arkansas more love. I highly suggest Eureka Springs, Arkansas as a cheap getaway destination! Such a cute, quirky victorian town tucked away in the ozark mountains! Best to visit in spring-fall

I've been to Moab several times. Love Arches NP and the area surrounding Moab. Also Bar Harbor and Jordan's Restaurant, home of blueberry everything.

If you can afford the splurge.. we rented a small motorboat on Lake McDonald in Glacier NP. It was an amazing memory and less than $100.

Perhaps poor timing for this comment, but…We enjoy New Orleans and the French Quarter much more than St. Augustine. It’s like all the good parts of St. Augustine, but MORE!

Interesting...went in 2022 and didn't see a single homeless person. I wonder if we just got lucky ha
