I love Boardwalk balcony. Starboard like you, but down a few rooms around 21-25, but yeah. I love watching out the back when we leave the ports and the aqua show and the carousel and all of it.
We booked this room for a cruise in September for the exact reason you did for the aqua show. It looks like the best of both worlds, people watching, show watching and a view of the ocean. We generally stay up late so I don't think the noise will be a factor for us. I always research the best locations for our needs and love the fact that you did this video on the cabin we picked. It looks like it's perfect for us, thank you for the video.
Well, you were right, it was loud but that was ok. I love to have an ocean view balcony to sit and unwind and I couldn't in this cabin. We had to keep the drapes closed because of the privacy issue. I don't think we would book an interior balcony again on Royal. Had to give it a try buy not for us. Just want to give a shout out to our room steward Ludi he was Great. We are going on Msc in a couple of weeks, ( second time) and I will try to get video of top 19 on the Meraviglia. I haven't seen a good video yet. Thanks for your insight on every video.
My son and I have this room next week, leaving Sunday. Thanks for the tour and tips!! We're never in the room before midnight so I don't think the sound will bother us. Never had a boardwalk balcony before, only ocean view balconies, so it'll be something different. This is our second cruise this year, so it's basically a bonus. How is the privacy with the other balconies? Looks like you're right on top of each other.
The balcony banister is a semi circle. So, when you stand in the middle you can see all the way down. Not to mention the folks on the other side of the boardwalk!
I stayed in a Boardwalk Balcony stateroom on Oasis of the Seas in January during college football playoff time. Between the crowds at Playmakers, the regular Boardwalk sounds, and the Aquatheater (both rehearsals and actual shows) it was the noisiest stateroom in which I have ever sailed. I would hesitate to book a room in that area again.
Ahhh, timing is everything and yes, if there is a big sporting event going on or anything large scale in the world that might be aired on the jumbotrons, that gets noisy quick!
Hey Brandon, Tampa here. Nice boardwalk balcony, BUT the noise level is a NO for me, especially late at night. I love my quiet time in the cabin, so probably not pick a boardwalk that close to Aqua Park. Thanks and see you in the next video.
Yes, Boardwalk balcony will have noise at times, but not nearly as bad during the day as hearing the pool band from a Central Park balcony. We get to the room late, so neither is an issue for us, but your words of caution will help a lot of people.
Good call out on Central Park! You can def hear it and movies sometimes! Difference is those are more during the day for those who like to nap. I wish I could stay up later some night but I am not as energetic as I used to be!

Hey I was on this sailing with you .. Outta miami I was happy she did a 3 day, as much as i love the freedom it was a nice change.
It really was!! I def try to keep my eyes open for these random sailings as it is a nice way to change it up a bit!
