Walk to the unique Ha-Masrek Nature Reserve, Israel
Ha-Masrek Nature Reserve. The reserve is named after the pine trees of Jerusalem, which grow on the top of the ridge and resemble a comb.
The name of the reserve was given by the Palmach warriors who settled in Kibbutz Givat Brener and visited the area. The reserve has several circular paths that run through the forest, all of them close to a clearing on which stands an ancient structure. It is the Muslim tomb shrine of a-Sheikh Ahmed al-Ajami.
Since this reserve was once the site of fierce fighting, there are several old trenches, dugouts and bunkers on the mountain. Flowers are now growing on the bunkers as a symbol of the aspirations of all normal people that there will never be wars in the world.
There are marked viewpoints and benches to rest along the reserve.
A recent fire destroyed some of the reserve's trees. There is hope that the unique flora and fauna will be restored.

Анюта, это под Иерусалимом, рядом с мошавом Бейт Меир. Национальный парк Ха-Масрек. Жаль, что половина леса там сгорела, раньше было еще красивее!
