Literally everyone in the world knows what he's gonna do, except people in North-Sentinel island, but no one can stop that. That makes it pretty impressive.🤔
You wrote a bullshit, that's not made it impressive, he's scoring just ordinary goals by shoot, yet he's trying to sale it as something spectacular, this is incredibly annoying, he's embarrassing as a Russian player
Uh, you're right. Do you mind going there and telling them? I think it's important that you let them know 🙏

1:43 “they usually move this along quickly”
Kuznetsov took that personally.
Despite having never really been a Caps fan or a Canes fan, Kuzy is still my favourite player to watch taking penalty shots!
Patrick Roy looking like he wanted to be in net for that one
Roy had murder on his mind :D
In Varlamov he trusted, probably did mention to give a blocker to the head next time he crawls in like that
As a Hurricanes fan, I can tell you we were tortured by that slow rolling approach for YEARS from the Caps and Kuzy... we all used to f'n HATE IT!! Now, however, we absolutely love it! It's fun to be on the winning side of "The Bird Man's" amazing shot. You KNOW what's coming, everyone in the building knows whats about to happen, and yet no one seems to be able to prevent it from happening every time!
Birdman with the slow-mo
A bunch of ex- Capitals doing great on other teams. 🤦
Ex Flyers have been doing that for the last two decades lol. Feel your pain
Yeah, but they’re leaving the Caps by design. This was inevitable. At least we’re getting asset for them.
Can’t win cups forever
We got a Cup out of him already bud, what do you got?
As an Islanders fsn I was still happy for him finding his game. Starting from that first goal in the series.
Looked back at his countryman afterwards 🤣. “I snap it past you huh?”

I got a unique name for this hockey player...The Cobra...who strikes at the last second after memorizing its prey slowly

I absolutely love both this shootout technique and how mad people get about it.
I hate his penalty/shootout shot but dang does it work well.
People hate it because they can’t stop him, but the fans of whatever team Kuzy is on love it! And I do too. It’s legal and deadly effective: he’s got a 43% shoot-out percentage in his career. It’s so difficult for a goalie to stay centered to the net when the player comes in at an angle. Then, you must come out to cut down the angle without allowing the player to deke behind you, so you have to back up insanely slowly without getting out of position or off balance. That’s why it drives goalies nuts to the point where they get impatient and do what Varlamov did… As a goalie, you’re staring down the ice at this guy and the puck he’s carrying at 2 mph, and the second you lose either patience or focus, it’s in the back of your net. But that move requires so much skill (patience, reaction time, poke check, etc.) -- otherwise others would do it. You have to handle the puck so well and also read the goalie to utilize the time it buys. If the goalies were able to stop it consistently, Kuzy would probably move away from it, but why do it when he knows how to make it perfect. My thing is: if you hate it, find the way to stop him from scoring. The whole point is to outsmart the goalie and get a point for your team. So, the move isn’t a flex or trolling or anything like that, this is a kill move only a handful of players can pull.
Can anyone tell a slo-mo replay from the original? I know I can't)))
36 yr old Varlamov was quick with the poke check but not quick enough
Looking like Simian Varlamov on this play.. great goal.
Semyon correctly.

This is like the equivalent to an ephus pitch in baseball. Well done.
Also, when was the last time a penalty shot was awarded for a player covering the puck? This is the first time I can remember in 25 years of watching
i guess theres usually so many skates around in a situation where one might be tempted to handle it in the crease that most defenders just wont risk it? just a guess tbh
Myself I've seen it many times, I guess you don't watch many games in a year? I would say it's semi-common reason to call a penalty shot.
Ah, yeah I can see it happening more often in leagues other than the NHL. I don't watch as many games as I used to, being a Red Wings fan...well the last 8 years have been tough to watch, lol.
Happened against the Canes in '06. If memory serves me right, Chris Pronger (EDM) scored.

I wonder if that's even in the rulebook, because I know during play that's either a delay of game minor, or that's a penalty shot.

Goalie: has to drop the stick down and grab near the knob before poke checking
Also goalie: he has no idea what I’m cooking up mwahaha
I mean at some point they gotta put a timer on these like 10 seconds to shoot but you can't deny kuznetsov has insane hands. Isles are toast. Frustrated wings fan, if we had half as good a goaltender as some of these teams we'd put up a much better fight than the Isles, Bolts or Caps. I like that Lindgren kid on the caps reminds me of Holtby a bit. CAR-BOS will go 7 games.
You know he got that penalty shot style from Pat Kane. Wings fan here too but I still think coasting in at 1% speed on a penalty shot is trash hockey
@@digglesworth19 It’s not trash hockey. An important part of penalty shots are mind games between the shooter and the goalie, and going slow is a mind game. I find it more interesting than someone flying down the ice, shooting and missing.

@@blingman78 You’re free to feel how you feel, but I don’t think it’s trash hockey.
