  • when living without a freezer, drying is one of the best ways to preserve food.
    The flour is also great to take hiking.
    To use the flour adequate of 100% European smelt, I simply add a few spoons to soups, stews, etc.
    This is likely my last season of having joined the fishing of European Smelt (en.m.wikipedia...) moving up the river here.
    Even though it is also socially an interesting event, I can hardly justify the activity as necessary, when excellent vegan foods are available in the supermarkets here.
