Great video, seems easy enough. Does it matter which way you wire the pins on the jack? Picking a few up and see there is a short side a long side. Which side did you do for red/black? Thanks!
Hi, yes it matters, the longer pin is the negative side so would be the black cable, if you are using a just plug that didn't come with KITT just ensure the colours match the original battery lead for orientation.
Hi A typical AAA battery will be about 3Amps at 1.5v there are 4 required for KITT in the standard configuration so with that in mind that would be about 6 volts at 3 amps, using a simple calcutaltor that gives you a max of about 18 watts - the plug I am using amzn.to/3REZg17 has a total output of 33watts over 4 ports and is perfect for this
Great idea, thanks for the video!

@@WillsWorkshop Thanks!
they parts use did you get them from ebay
Most of them, yes, although I actually had them in the workshop and had to find the old listings for them to put in the description
Should I be concerned about how many watts the charger I'm using, is putting out? Just want to make sure I don't fry the board.

Hi Will! Are you using 5v or 6v of power?
I'm using this plug amzn.to/3tV06kx which puts out 5v on the 3.1A outputs.
@@WillsWorkshop thanks, Will!
Know this was uploaded a while ago but do you have a link for the jumper wire with the white plug on it
I believe these are the correct ones, I'm not at the workshop at the moment to double check the size though amzn.to/3hpx3PX
@@WillsWorkshop Ta very much
What size drill do you use the drill
I think it was an 8mm
It Would Have Been Ideal If The Battery Holder Was Fitted With A Rechargeable Battery, So We Could Charge It Up Through A USB Lead.
Good idea, I'm sure this could be a possibility but then again you could just use rechargeable AAA batteries too
@@WillsWorkshop I Might Buy A Battery Charger With Rechargeable Batterie's At Some Point. 😃👍.
Are this for sale
Wasn't Planning on selling any but maybe if there is enough interest
