As we life near Lake Titikaka we wanted to find out about cement boats. They are really very useful, long lasting, corrosion resistant, cheap, easy to make but only a bit heavy…
Nicely done my Great Grandfather built a cement boat on the 1030s many people thought he was crazy back then of course they probably didnt know boats float because of the Displacement not the weight of the structure which is why a massive Steel Aircraft Carrier floats that are many tons loaded with all the equipment and manpower

Suggestion: Use EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) (Seco Yello) (Styrofoam) beads... Like used in stuffed toys, bean bag chairs...or just finely ground EPS foam that's clean. Add it to the cement mixture. It will reduce weight of boat, and should actually help make it stronger...by being lighter, everything it impacts is with less force. Might want to use latex paint. 3+coats of latex will add water tighterness and actually help add strength. Great job! @EMASbolivia.
@@samuelscalise9686 navigational buoys used by NOAA are concrete encapsulated Styrofoam (Expanded Polystyrene ). You can fabricate out of foam, encapsulate it in concrete, paint it...and you should be done. That's how those boys are made.

Oil paints also add waterproof-ness, but it needs replenishing more often than latex paint.
Adding PET fibers from old bottles as well!

There is a flaw on this boat. The bottom will crack and the boat will sink.
