Amazing version! Funny, there are 2 dislikes on his version of Tosa, too. Coincidence? I think not. To each his own, I suppose. But this is one of the best versions of this aria I've heard. I was lucky enough to hear him sing in Samson. Incredibly powerful and stirring voice.
This is just great! Atlantov is my favourite Russian tenor with a very beautiful, unique timbre! His voice sounds wonderful in any language! Great Artist! Bravissimo!
@1Markofff привет!!! ну, к сожалению, должен те сказать, что у него нет должной школы до соль, а после соль вооще никакой школы....голос -- красавец, это да!!! мой пед рассказывал, что он сильно выпивал и его поставила на правильный путь милашкина,...получив многомиллионное состояние от своего педагога катульской, она женила на себе атлантова, запретила ему пить, отслеживала его режим и стояла всегда за сценой, ожидая супруга с горячим чаем или кофе, чтоб поддержать голос...

@1Markofff его вели как баритона, как баритон он не имел успеха, потом он как-то понял, шо он тенор...и ноты после соль-ля-бемоль начал интуитивно брать сам...он долго занимался как баритон....голос отстоялся на баритональном пении....но со слов самого атлантова, то поёшь шикарно, а то вооще не чем петь, не знаш шо делать с голосом.....ежль былаб номальная школа пения, то такого бы не было...место былоб одно и то же на протяжении всего диапазона голоса.и не былоб проблемы-- куда засунуть голос
@1Markofff вооще-то, школа пения -- это ключ управления твоим голосом, который тебе даёт твой педагог....шикарный ключ -- шикарный голос, корявый ключ и не работающий ключ -- твой голос -- дрянь....многое зависит от педагога, который даст тебе этот ключ.....

Definitely, a valid comparison to the Italian Volcano, DelMonaco. Both had naturally huge, ringing voices with no evidence of strain whatever.

Why? The audience (in this case russian) needs to understand. So it's a wise choice
