Rooting for this kid, even though he'll likely lose. Canelo was one of my favorite fighters in the 2010s & carried the torch after Mayweather & Pacquiao, & credit to him because that was a tough stint for boxing, but man, he hasn't given us any meaningful fights in a while now, all while continuously making excuses. Boxing has been AMAZING lately, probably the best it has been since the 2000s (maybe even better), & Canelo is starting to get left in the shadows because he's refusing to make the big fights. People have been saying "Canelo's getting old, he deserves to fight whoever he wants now, he's given us enough," man, he's only 33! Mayweather & Pac were giving us big fights well after 33. We took those two for granted.
