That might be because they have the same artist. I know Kazuma Kaneko (the guy who designed this mech) designed some of the mechs in ZOE 2, but I am not sure if he designed that one specfically. Kazuma Kaneko also is the main artist for the Shin Megami Tensei series. And, personally, I thought this looked similar to Arimahn (one of the bosses in Nocturne). He's a pretty good artist.
A realy big evil robot that has a 70's style evil robot in it that opens the appoclypse up and teases you with a possible instant death attack. creepy.... THEN GONG!!!! (or trombe overide, take your pick)
While the gong event is incredibly awesome, Trombe override is just moer awesome cause you know what mech you're getting with it, and he has an attack that can create a cliff, IN SPACE still the gong event is teh awesome
