And he was the coolest guy on the team. First time I played, I poured all my money and points into leveling him up. Imagine how I felt when he betrayed me...ack! My heart just broke a little inside...lol.
Nemkoon yeah, my fight with Ingram was difficult as hell, but I feel like Levi was easy. Ingram's betrayal and the fact that he was hands down, the hardest boss in the game just made him so badass. Kinda funny though that he wasn't the final boss as strong as he was.
Fun fact: You can defeat Levi in one turn by using the SRX, but it takes many uses of zeal, enable, hope and resupply. Ingram is a whole different story, for various reasons.
*Stands up* I too was raped by Ingram to this song. I remember it vaguely, I was young and dumb, then he appeared. I thought "PFFT It's just a supped up R-Gun NO PROBLEM" *5 turns later: ??????HP nearly full EN*. I was never the same, for 6 hours straight I had pounded at this guy(many restarts) until I realize, I had to drain his EN, I wasn't a believer in EN drains or any non damaging, effect weapons, so it was very rudimentary, but that was the beginning of learning how to SRW. I'm replaying it and i'm pretty much breezing through the game, and I'm eager to see if he's still challenging.
I actually had an easy time with the R-Gun Rivale in my first try. It took two turns and careful positioning of my resupply and support units, but I was able to do massive damage on him. Thank goodness I thought ahead by ugrading Darkness Slash and TK Slash Burst. Also, I bless Garnet for having such high SP and Rouse. If I didn't give her SP Regenerate in advance, I would have been royally fucked by a lack of morale.
I'm looking at all these comments of people who had to restart their entire games to prepare for this guy. For real y'all? He was tough, ya, but I played OG1 in 2002 when it came out. He's not THAT hard. Just use Assists and EN Drains, and he's helpless.
@mousefire777 Actually, that was my first time playing the game. I only had about 25~30 of the battle masteries, so it might have only been normal mode instead of hard, but I still didn't think it was that bad.
@SJtheMFZB I think you can check what your opponents have. I know I did that on the Rivale and my jaw fell off when i saw that his axion buster only has 3000 some as its base damage amount.
@@Lexyvil It is not the original version. Both the PS1 version in Super Robot Wars Alpha (2000) and the arrange for Alpha's Dreamcast port (2001) are older.
@@Lexyvil Oh its not just for nostalgia's sake, Ingram was also in SRW Alpha (different timeline than OG). You can actually get him to break free and join you for the final battle in that one
@Warrior536 You seem to be ignoring the fact that he wasn't acting under his own free will and when he did act under free will it was to help SRX team and the other Earth chumps out. Which is, of course, exactly what Juses expected.
@Otaku35 Yeah, and yet it's still capable of dealing such heavy damage to or even OHKOing some of your units. Also, I understand the AI seeking out units with low health or armor, but detecting repair/supply modules is just asinine. I seriously doubt that was anything more than a coincidence. Otherwise, what a low blow, Banpresto. >_>

I'm currently stuck on episode 40. It's not that I don't think I can beat it, I just can't work up the motivation to fight two regenerating bosses in a row.
@Ryan91487 what about when you are in the white star, you can't do much of anything ( i know because im stuck on that part... man i wish my games for each character had infinite spirit...)

Thank god owning the shit out of endgame bosses got easier in OG2.
Also this theme reminds me of why you should NEVER piss off Kyouske!
dude he has one of the strongest robots in the game and this robot has a kick ass theme
And then you get to OG2 and blow away HP: ???,??? bosses in one turn.

I know right, I had a way harder time with Ingram than Levi.

You had the bullshit that is the Neviim terrain in the fight against Levi. You didn't have anything near as good to abuse against Ingram.

I beat both first try but at the same time i was abusing the fuck out of zeal, love and valor
Levis fight was considerably easier

i thought my latune can beat everything cuz of the 100% accurate and dodging, but now this hp,en regenerating and warp field boss.... rip me

🤷♂️ im glad I almost fine with the battle 🤣
I had tried multiple days to beat him back then…
Unliked, just so I could like it again.
Behold the sound of betrayal.
i like this ingram's r-gun rivale themes
It's actually not too bad. Just use an armor breaker (he's not immune to them) and go to town with supports and sense/alert. Not too bad at all.
*GOD I HATE INGRAM*
Especially because i had to retry THAT stage over and over again to defeat him.

Ingram makes random comments when you attack him with other characters. When you attack him with gilliam, ingram is like wait, who tf are you?
I thought gilliam was ingram brother lol
@@walkingfurret8896 because Gilliam fought Ingram before. An alternate tineline Ingram.
Nope. He never fought Ingram before because Gilliam is not originally from any of the SRW timeliness.

@PowerOfKaishin Huh. I guess I just sucked terribly on my first playthrough.
So it actually has 170k*2=340k hp?For the first unit surpassing 100k HP in the SRW series,I think it is a bit overpowered.
the hidden boss has basic 640k hp (hard mod) x 2(warp field) = 1280000hp lol
