Gudaf Tsegay from Ethiopia won the Women’s 1500m Gold Medal at the World Indoor Championships in a time of 3:57.19 representing a Course Record for the Ethiopian Star. The Race took place on the PM Session of day 2 of 3, March 19, 2022 at the Štark Arena in Belgrade, Serbia.
Tsegay’s compatriots Axumawit Embaye and Hirut Meshesha shared the Victory Podium with her. Embaye won the Silver Medal in a time of 4:02.99, and Meshesha won the Bronze Medal in a time of 4:03.39.
