Looking back on this… I’ve accomplished much more since this interview. Also developed much more personally… mentally and physically . In this interview I think that my communication skills were not the greatest. I’ve worked on that and got a lot better. So for those of you watching this, know things can start to change once you focus, In every area of your life. Mentally, physically and financially.

Man, one thing I'd like to say is never overlook a 5k job vs a 20k or even 30k. Look at profit! I'd rather take 4, 5k jobs that are 50% profit than 1 30k job that is 15% profit. This guy may be doing great the way he does it. Get that steady flow from maintenance and then start hitting those construction jobs up for some home run money. Anybody reading this, please understand it takes years to master project management. 30k jobs can fall apart so easy. I suggest turning over 5k, then 10k jobs in a timely, efficient, manner. After you have a complete system built for those size jobs move up a little at the time. Remember "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast".

Thanks you Keith! 2021 will be my 3rd season on my own. We hit 170K last yr. About 40% profit! I've been landscaping since I was a kid but I started CG in 2019 part time and I started watching your videos. You taught me stuff like $100-120 per yd of mulch when I was charging $75. Those little tips about handling customers and selling quality and not backing down saved me! I have no fear of saying no or being under bid. I hit number 1 on Google in my area this yr. My little business pops up first lol unbelievable! That's bc of you! I'd love to meet you someday.

You might meet others that will help you. Take things day by day. Don’t get to ahead of yourself sometimes we want to get things now, but the process is the best thing. Funny- that you said that about credentials. I just had a high school diploma and a little college. My friend who has about 100 million is in the same boat. He’s just skilled at what he does. He owns at least 25 million in real estate and about the same in equipment. He’s in the concrete business. I’m a landscaper. I sub- contract a lot of my work to people who specialize in their field and work for less than retail for me. I mark the price up to retail and pay their companies. That cuts out a lot of money for equipment; salaries; insurance; storage… on and on. The best part is that I’m just a salesman

geez...this stuff is hard to believe....I'm 20, done all sorts of landscaping and tree work for a few years now. Got a couple of trailers and all sorts of gear. People still dont even take my opinion on how they should let me trim there trees, or even just anything basic. Even so, people still treat me like a kid that knows nothing. What none of these youtube 'entreprenuers' talk about either is the shear amount of stress this involved in doing anything for other people. This week ive had to contend with all sorts of holdups from a covid lockdown in my city to bucketing down rain all this stuff has real life implications. When you tell someone your doing a job on a specific day(s) or week,, they change there schedule to fit you in and people dont like when you stuff them around. Last year my business gave me so much stress i had chest pains and muscle twitches, i had to get checked out by doctors. Watching this stuff on youtube is one thing.... reality is another.

Same age about to be 21, finding good worker is huge step to getting stress out the way. I found out it is very profitable. Right now I average 12-14 hours a day with my business work schedule bid . Age was never my issue I acted older so people would always think I’m 25-28, one thing he didn’t mention I’ve came across 20-30k jobs profit is garbage.. in those Inless you have crew, I’ve bailed a lot on those jobs since people underprice or not looking for profit

I did pavers first time for my auntie. Alot of us wont admit it, but most of us learnt by doing this stuff for friends or family... or hell, if you have no family, learn in your own backyard on the weekend. Just gotta do it

I'm a landscape sales Rep in Los Angeles, I would barely survive if I had only a million In sales per year. What percentage do you feel is fair for a Rep? I clear a little over 2.5 million a year and the percentage I'm getting is 5.5% but scales as margin goes up. I average 46% GP so my average job is at 8.1%
Target goal is 35% GP. Curious to hear what you think.
