Sam, the reason people leave the stock exhaust manifold on non vct sr20s is to keep the factory external baffle. if you run an aftermarket one and run the crank case to a catch can they breathe excessively. this is why people cut and shut vct rocker covers to suit non vct.

for a "mint" fix of the exhaust manifold stick weld it with 309s itll be fine
24:30, yup, in Japan the S13 180SX had the 1.8L CA18DET as a standard Engine hence the 180SX, in Europe they had the 2.0L SR20 as a standard engine hence the 200SX (also offering the CA18) and in the US they had the 2.4L KA24. The Silvia S14 for Europe and Austrlia was called 200SX because it had the SR20, and in the North America it called 240SX as they used the KA24. This generally is the idea behind the codes, of course there may be some exceptions to what I said and I may be wrong in a detail.

As a guy who owns a s13 in the EU it is heart warming to hear people from Australia, Japan and USA want stuff for their s13 that have 200sx written on them, love the videos

All S13s were 200SX in Europe. We also didn’t get the coupe or the SR20DET like JDM kouki 13s. Only notch-back with pop-ups. Our only engine option was the CA18DET.

24:59 All accross europe S13 and S14 are called "200sx", the weird thing is the S13 EUDM only came with CA18DET 169/175hp. For the special sauce, they all had Nismo diff cooler, SMIC (similar to the JDM 180sx), dual tone turn signal/day light, 3.916 diff ratio, turn signal just under the side mirror , no trunk 3rd light (that's kinda cool) and few other things. I have one, but SR and type X swapped now.
Gonna say it now. If Sammir gets this chassis decent,… it’ll be a Sam/Jim final at the invitational!!

Here in UK we had the 100NX, 200SX and 300ZX. Prices for 200SX are crazy £15k-£25k. Can pick up a Fairlady 300ZX for £6k-£10k. 100NXs are super rare.
