Great podcast. Worth mentioning the scene where Hackman and Pacino are sat round a table with the two women shooting the breeze. Hackman plays drunk, and it's the most convincing drunk acting I've ever seen. Just exceptional. Whenever I see other actors doing this now, it looks like a bad impression. I love Pacino too, but for me Hackman is the best film actor of the last 50 years or so. (Interesting to note that the Rolling Stone critic who featured in your French Connection podcast also shares that opinion)
