So Nerubians are obviously coming back but was there really a reason for Blizzard to make them humanoid and humanoid as in optimized to be playable with male and female form and as you can see these extra arms don't really do anything they are just cosmetic, the armor fits perfectly just like any other other playable character. Blizzard has confirmed that they are already working on new playable races that will be added throughout the world soul saga and remember despite us getting the earthen with the announcement allied races and races can be picked up mid expansion, they don't need to come out right off the bat. So are playable Nerubians actually coming, how would they would, and what classes would fit them?

It is not going to happen. Same as with the Sethrak and other cool races.
But if they did give us playable Nerubians? Yes, I'd play them.
I don't think I've ever heard players asking to play as nerubians, especially not nerubians that suddenly looks less like a bug and more like an elf. I think if Blizz makes nerubians playable, they have missed the mark, yet again, as there are so many other races/classes/skins that players have been begging for for years, Ogres, Tuskar, Gnolls, Naga, Ethereals as well as tinker, necromancer, bard I mean, even playing as a faceless one or one of those humanoid squid faced void beings would be a million times better than a spider skinned as an elf

In retrospection. Naga playable was one of my childhood's dream back in WOTLK. Having small talk with my boomer dad, a veteran player of WoW : "Wouldn't it be cool if you get to play the sea-snake people dad."
That was 15 years ago. Yet still not released. Oooh the irony when I'll become a boomer with kids and having the same talk over Naga playable in X years.
If they give naga legs they would be taking away what makes them cool

Yeah judging by the models and upcoming story, almost guaranteed they'll be playable, especially since Horde and Alliance works together and they both meet the friendly Nerubian faction.
I have asked my fellow players (20 people) mainly from central europe (czech, slovak, german etc.) And they mostly wanted the Naga (10 people) they wanted those snake tails , no bipedal sea elf version, Nerubians (6 people) were second and third were Gnolls (4 people) . Those Gnolls were quite surprise for me.

since the new rot paw models were made id say yea id be down to be a Gnoll and be dope if we got new specs for mage finally so we could be Rot mages or blood mages
I don't think they should remove the fact that Elves came from trolls, as Civilizations already existed prior to the ascension 12000 years ago, like the Zandalari, and the Mogu, besides, when the trolls ruled the world, the keepers were already in decline, so I dont think it's Titan Propaganda.

blizzard too ignorant for these , many players asked them long time ago especially ogres , but blizzard gave big D on the fans.
@@aaronash8571 lol the two most requested races have always been high elves and ogres. BFA was literally the perfect opportunity to add them in, and Blizzard opted for Moose Tauren instead. They're literally never adding ogres.
Nerubians and naga would be fun. But only if we have more classes, or even skinned classes (where spells are the exact same, but look different). Otherwise, I already have a toon for each spec for each race it seems and I can never get anything done because I forget where I am!! LOL
Hozen and jinyu also had all the telltale signs of potential playable races, yet they weren't.

I wanted to play the cobra guys from BFA so bad
I could see Nerubian's as a allied race, especially AFTER the completion of the raid, meaning they'd be accessible probably the following patch. Maybe they would be like the Dracthyr and go insectoid when they activate a specific spell and then go back to humanoid form after. Imagine if you're a tank spec and you activate the racial spell for them and it turns you into one of the big beetle ones. Or if you're a caster class and it turns you into a webspinner for a few seconds?!?!
Actually there is a server making custom classes and 1 of them is the venomancer, basically a druid with that kind of spells

I LOVE the concept art for the new Nerubian. It would be great if they had a specific classes - Web Weaver anyone?! I can see that being a new class. That being said, they should make other pre-existing classes available to this race as well.
i hope based on drac they will let us be naga sometime, maybe the end of midnight. since they obviously have the armour problem solved.
Nerubians need running wild like worgen, and naga need one with higher swim speed

I hope for a reptilian race like the Iksar from Everquest or an elemental race. I wouldn't play a Nerubian unless it were a quadruple wielding rogue.
I think the guy that was the leader of the house of eyes in the Maldraxxus cinematic might be one of these nerubians and not an aranakk.

Still waiting on playable Ogres since, quite literally, pre-beta vanilla. They promised for years, then said it was impossible, and now we’ve been pandas, werewolves, foxes, dragons, maybe nerubians…. 😂

I have a theory for the origin of the Nightelfs.
Long ago in a time where there existed no Nightelf Elune had a problem.
One of her toenails had become too long.
So she decided to cut it.
Sadly depending on your view the piece of Elune fell on Azeroth where it landed beside the Well of eternity.
The power of the Well and Elune combined and created the first Nightelfs.
And that's my theory if you have a better one please share😊

Wouldnt mind a insectoid playable species, tho not fond of the slender/slim look if I were to play male, I'd want to have a bulky form similar to the size of a Kultiran male but a bit rigged/spiky in all ends, not be everybody sort but I'd like the body shape of a kultiran in terms of mass but a cool touch of spikes, rigged spikes, and hands the size of a Tauren sort of speak, heck even the head as hunched as a Orc or a Tauren as a option for how big their body is, to sort of be like close to the shape of their former big giant nerubian selves.
Definitely want more bulk and muscular option for males when they make slender/slim playable races.
So basically body frames? I've asked for this since Everquest mate.

Plus isn't Everquest from 1999/2000? They wouldnt even had that time to give options for body shapes/body frames at the time.
I just meant since I'm guessing the Nerubian playable race will be like Dracthyr that they may make the exact same issue people had with the Dracthyr's body shapes.

I could see it as a cosmetic transmog where you could change what they are holding, but it wouldn't effect gameplay other than maybe a racial slash which would be cool
It would be nice to have an insectoid and another reptilian species that doesn't always look like it was drawn by a furry.

I new it as soon as I saw the evolved Nerubian model. It might be a little OP if Nurbians were allowed to hold four one-handers. But I realy hope Blizz knows that, if you're making a spider-races, you better give them spider powers.

Classes might be
Warrior, Mage, Warlock, Priest, Rogue, Hunter.
And DK. Huge DK precedence. Probably actually the most appropriate class for that matter, given that the ebon blade is already an ally of the horde and alliance. A neutral nerubian race. Some of which are new death knights there to represent the nerubian side of the scourge
They could always let them wield four weapons, but two of them are just cosmetic slots.

Oh god I sure hope we DONT get them as a playable race, I’m so sick of these new races/race variations being made, just for once blizzard give us a race we ask for, give us what we’ve been asking for for years, give us the races that already existed especially since some already for a long time have been part of the factions in paper, give us our:
Horde: forest trolls, ogres, taunka, gilgoblins
Alliance: broken draenei, tuskarr, vrykul, jinyu
Why not give them in the first place..instead of those boring Stone Dwarves!
Or maybe Ogers..Gnolls..Tuskar...Ho-zen..Jinyu?

I’m also not a huge fan of the slimmer spider elves, but I’m so excited to see more of and learn more about them.

On eof the new races have to be a dwarf race sins we already have dwarfs and they have to be updates. Including all there gear, animations art assets and so on and so on and so on. Just all the helmets have to be changed to fit the dwarfs and take there beard into acount. Everythings VERRY difrent with the dwarfs. When you think dwarf you should think warhammer dwarfs and lord of the rings dwarfs not WoW dwarf. Because that dont tell you anything. But look up lore videos on the lord of the rings dwarfs and lore videos on warhemmer dwarfs. Just regular warhammer not warhammer 40k because thats COMPLETLEY difrent!

i personally hate the new nerubians they should have made them like the mantid but with different heads,thorax,abdomen and arm styles so when they are playable you could mix it up to make them look more ant, spider, mantis, beetle, ext.

The added race has to fit a theme otherwise you get more confusion like adding high elves to horde. Blizzard is Learning from their mistakes

Not quite the topic here: Blizz made such a mistake choosing the Earthen as a first race. So many reasons(Dwarves for the Horde/already there) against them, when there are a bunch of races they could use first instead.
They already said we’d be able to infiltrate the nerubians to learn more about them. So it’s not surprising to have fully playable models as we are likely going to take the form of nerubians for a while.
That being said, same happened to nightborne so who’s to say but I really hate their silhouette, I’d love another beefier class again.
We are getting stone dwarves
kinda disappointed of the design, the model is way to humanoid and clean, 2:46 there it just looks like a dinosaur, there could be a lot of opportunities for a more arachnid looking design yet keeping the moslty humanoid shape for the gear.
Features like, longer limbs, pedipalps and chelicerae sticking out of the face, big googly eyes, body hair (spiders are very hairy) and a big round abdomen instead a tail.
Nerubians are so cool to me, with their architecture, their lore and all, but that model resembles nothing like a spider.
They look like the gods of the Hindu religion. Bout as generic as you can get. It's relatable.
I can see it, from distance it seems these augmented Nerubians are using the Sethrak/refti skeletons, but with functional Helmet place, interesting.

Well adding the slender-man-nerubian with xalatath as there good-queen to take the place of evil synvanas could work. Peopel liked sylvanas because she was an evil bad-ass woman. And wherent afraid to do what she wanted with or without anybodys permision and just dident give a flying fuck about what others thought of her or them. I dont think forsaken still care what ppl think sins they know and learn what ppl say, think and feel the hard way. One of the reason they say "Beware the living" and "trust no one" and they say that because they know the living cant be trusted and it will never matter to the alliance how nice or polite they are they will be hunted and killed like verybody else in the horde. Only difrence is the foraken is not delusional about it and dont pretend otherwise. One of the many reasons why i liked evil sylvanas and the forsaken, i still like the forsaken there my race, my ppl.

I didn't think draenei, blood elves, pandaren, worgen, goblins, vulpera were that cool, but please stop integrating more and more new races into the game! Stick to the allied races instead. I would love to play fel orcs, for example ✌️

To be honest, making them bipeds kinda removes the want to play one for me. It also makes me worry about how they would treat the Naga should they ever get into playable races.
I really hope so.
It is CRAZY to me that the Tuskarr, who are so popular and demanded and in a prime position to be playable are just not, while the Earthen, who nobody expected (or really wanted) were announced first than them.
So, who knows.
