We are facing an error sir.... We have a vm in workstation we can able to ping from vm to outside but can not ping from windows to vm.... Turned off windows firewall too but no luck 😢
When connecting from putty error is network timed out

I'm not even using the full version of VMWare, using VMWare Workstation 17 Player - out of no where internet just died. Did a restart and didn't help. I don't have a way to go back to defaults, but what I did instead is shut down and change my network adapter to bridged (it was NAT) and internet came back :shrug:. I don't know why that worked but it did so good I guess?

Mine does that all the time...starts without internet...all I do to fix is just switch vpn to a different server...I think restarting or changing settings on adapter does it somehow.

@OMNITEK yeah I think this happens to me on occasion, just happens so infrequently I don't remember the details. I transferred a large amount of data out of my VM, so I wonder if that has something to do with it. I will pay more attention next time. I moved like 50 gigs out to my NAS.

How would you go about sharing the VPN connection from the host computer? i have been trying to figure that out

it should automatically capture from the vpn on your host machine...sometimes you have to reconnect vpn in order for the vm to connect to the internet...but usually that's by default to the vpn since your host is through a vpn...i use Expressvpn and it always connect auto.
