How We Built an Ultra-Light Folding E-bike on a Tight Budget!

- The aim for this build was to create a super light folding Ebike that had plenty of power but could also be tucked away in a corner and stored. Having a folding carbon bike as a base was a bold decision form my dad, but one that paid off. Using the Swytch kit we managed to take this bike from a decent folding bike to one of the lightest electrified bikes on the market.

PS. When I provide a link here to gear or equipment I sometimes get a kickback from it. But I NEVER link to something that I haven't used or did use and didn't like! 👍 - Спорт
dang thats impressive for an ebike for sure
Im suprise i couldn't find more video's like this.
Great video as always J.
Cheers man! Good to see your name in the comments 👍🏽
Impressive.
Perfect! what a great commuter, 13kg isn't heavy, on par with my mountain bike. 👌
Totally agree! (ps good to see your name in the comments) 👍🏽
Check velobuild and the new eds groupset
Very lightweight build and I think the finished price was pretty good. You could possible build it cheaper by sourcing a kit or parts from overseas but you don't get warranty.
bravooooo
Thanks for all your help son,
My pleasure
2kg lighter than my cheap beater of a commuter. and mine doesn't have a motor! nice build!
Aren’t dads great??😊…by the way I’m probably closer to your dad’s age. 😁
They sure are!
the only thing worse than ebikes are ebikers who act like they're real cyclists. Put some effort into your life and actually improve yourself!!
I haven't met an e-biker that's made a statement to profess to be on par with a conventional human powered cyclist. The only idiots I've come across are the guys on the throttle no pedal bikes or modified pedal ebikes that fly by within a foot of me
you took our ebike but didn't reply my email, why???
