Everything I’ve heard from the MultiPoly has been legit. It doesn’t sound like true analog, but it’s a great sounding virtual analog! Digital features give this synth its super powers!!! 💥🎹🔊💯💥

Nice, if brief, rundown on the news! Just a note on the multi/poly pricing. Yes, it's crept up to the $900 USD range (still $100 less than Kink Korg). You note that the earlier models came out in the $700-800 USD range. If you take inflation into account, the price of the new models is within dollars of the original RPI-based models. As for "VST-in-a-box", Korg and Roland been basically doing this for better than a dozen years. If you open up a Korg Kronos, for instance, you'll find an off-the-shelf PC motherboard with an ATOM processor. The older Triton, which has been at the core of Korg performance and workstation synths for some time, has been available in a software plug-in version for a few years now. Many Roland instruments are fully realized in their ecosystem, which runs as a plug-in in most DAWs.
I guess my question is, given that every modern digital synth made today is in some way software based and running on some sort of little computer in a customized enclosure festooned with controls, does anyone really care that the new synth is software-based?
    Cheers!

Exactly, I don't really have a problem with that but it's a common complaint I read about the Multi/Poly on some forums/comment sections. I use the Triton plugin all the time too. Fair point about inflation as well.

Win asio support is a nice surprise! Only 20 years too late. I'm glad that Microsoft is finally taking ARM support more seriously, but they've should have done that the first time.

Yeah, it's good that they are finally doing something for producers but also too late.

If you want a VST in a box, and already have a controller, just get a Hydrasynth Desktop - way better and much easier to use.

Yeah, sure that's a good option, I just like the Korg sound in general.

Korg is much more powerful and has more features than the hydra. They are not even in the same league.
