It may have been for the best that Courtney Moon got medevaced on day 3. While she was in the hospital getting her wrist fixed they discovered a tumor in her stomach that she didn't know about and removed it. She discussed this in her RHAP exit interview.
talk about a blessing in disguise
How exactly do they find a stomach tumor whilst doing wrist surgery?
@@ck867 Every player that exits the game (whether from a medevac or just being voted out) does a "wellness checkup" where they give you a onceover.
Quote from KM the day after she got voted out: "I had an injury on the show yesterday, but I'm actually in the hospital right now...I actually went for a wellness checkup on Monday, and the doctor was like 'Whoa! What's this going on? We've got to take you to the hospital now,' and they actually found a large, grapefruit sized tumor in my abdomen. The very next day they rushed me to emergency surgery and they thought hopefully they could take it out with minor incisions, depending on what it looks like in there, and then I wake up with this GIANT incision. They're like, 'Yeah, it was attached to a bunch of other stuff so we had to take a bunch of other stuff out, and it's cancerous so we're going to find out how bad it is.'"
Minor injuries often reveal bigger ones. It emphasizes the need for deeper regular checkups... and a better national health system.
@@Perceptionreflection There are lots of Survivors who say that years after they were on the show they still have medical issues related to their time on the island.
Jenna Morasca leaving in order to be with her mother is without a doubt one of the saddest moments in the entire series history, if only because of the outcome. She wasn't exactly robbed but she was in the best spot of all the previous winners up to that point. It's easily in my top 5 most tragic quits/medevacs in the show's history.
I hope she gets to come back and play again
I just started getting into survivor for real and watched that season for the 1st time. It was really sad. Especially because she was right.
Terry dietz was robbed in Cambodia too he definitely for sure would have gone further
Regarding Terry, Jeff Probst revealed after that episode aired that as soon as the camera stopped filming on the boat he handed Terry his phone and Terry called his wife and talked to her for about an hour
1. Aubry (in the form of Neil and Joe)
Jack Miles That’s exactly what I was thinking. What terrible luck to have your 2 best allies med evacuated.
Neil’s med evac probably saved her and got her to the end though... that six days with no vote right after the merge were crucial in getting her into any kind of power position.... (Joe leaving did suck for her though on all accounts)
If Joe didn’t eat that steak she’d have gone to the end with him and tai and win the game. #robbedgoddess
There is actually a very strong chance that Aubry still loses a F3 with Tai and Joe. Scot, Jason and Julia were never going to vote for Aubry, so they likely either vote for Joe out of spite or throw their votes to Tai. Cydney really respected Joe, and Debbie almost certainly votes Joe. Nick probably still votes for Aubry, but this time she doesn't have Joe on the jury for her as a secure vote. Michele might vote Aubry, I'm not sure.
If Aubry wins the juror removal twist and takes out Scot, she has a shot but I think it ultimately depends on how she handles Cydney's exit.
I don't know, I think I mostly disagree with that.. Scot, Jason and Julia were presented an option they could *want* to vote for with Michele, but I don't see that with Joe. Michele, while not initiating most moves, still moved through the game strategically and did well in competitions. Joe? Let's be real, he was mostly dragged through the game, and I don't think the majority of the jury was that opposed to Aubry.. And there is no scenario in which Tai gets the votes of Scot and Jason.
I mean, not considering the juror removal twist, Aubry would most likely get the votes of Nick, Neal, Cydney and Michele, perhaps even Julia. Michele in interviews seemed really appreciative of Aubry's game, so...
Erik really had a chance of winning in caramoan tbh, i think people only rmbr how dumb he was for giving up immunity rather than how robbed he was in caramoan
jon no, Cochran had that
I really don't think he did. Cochran was extremely dominant, and even if Erik hadn't been evacuated, it was clear that he was utterly drained by the end and I dunno if he could've rallied enough mental fortitude to argue his case. He needed Cochran gone and Dawn as well (I'm of the belief that if Cochran goes at F4 instead of Eddie and it's Sherri/Dawn/Eddie at the end, Dawn wins, albeit not in a perfect sweep). If Erik sits next to Eddie and Sherri, he wins, but that road was extremely hard by that point.
Yeah and how he found the Idol and gave right away to Andrea lmfao
jon It's him, Cochran, or eddie. Obviously, Cochran is probably winning, but if you can get the votes, then he goes. Eddie seems to have the jury due to his position in the game being so bad, but if he goes, Erik can win it. Only Brenda could beat him.
Cochran has said that Eddie would've been the target at F5 if Erik hadn't been evacuated. So if that happens, it's down to Cochran/Dawn/Erik/Sherri. Cochran and Dawn are unbreakable, and Erik and Sherri weren't exactly the best of friends and would likely have been forced to gun for each other unless one of them won F4 immunity. And I think Erik would've needed to win it, because he had far more pull with the jury than Sherri did, and Dawn/Cochran wouldn't have taken him over her.
But let's say that Erik wins F4 and cuts Cochran (and that Sherri, the alternate target for Dawn/Cochran, wins the firemaking challenge against Cochran because it is unlikely Dawn flips here). If he does, he probably gets Brenda for sure. But I think a lot of the moves attributed to Cochran are shifted over to Dawn, who was instrumental in them but had gotten her hands bloody in the process (Cochran's mastery was in not getting personally attached). I think Cochran would step up for Dawn and argue her case, I think Andrea would want to reward the gameplay aspect, same with Malcolm and Phillip. Eddie and Reynold might vote Erik, but I could also seem them being swayed by any argument at Ponderosa. I don't know what Michael Snow would've done.
Still, that would mean that Erik would have to be mentally focused and "in it" to not only plead his case, but do it in a way that makes him a more palatable choice than Dawn (who at least had moves she could own, and unlike in real life stands alone at the F3 by being able to point to them without having someone else who made the exact same moves without burning people personally) or Sherri (probably an easier accomplishment). I just think that with the way Erik was languishing out there on that island by the end, I don't think he would've been able to. He needed Eddie and Sherri to make it past F5 to have a clear path to a win, and by the time of his evac, that path was gone.
Russ' was so scary. I remember watching that episode and just froze in shock. he looked so out of it and you could tell even when he was 'back' that he wasn't really 100% back. It really was a shame because he really could've gone far in that season and I'd even say he could've won.
I’m just extremely grateful survivor has always had such an attentive and efficient medical team. They take it very seriously and I’m glad.
"KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOUR CHEST"
Two people back to back: *slams down on their hands*
Calebs med evacuation was the scariest survivor moment
I had a similar injury to Pat and it was like a near death experience. Unbelievable pain. It's also a lifelong hinderance, despite them saying he had made a full recovery.
A disc injury like that never completely heals.
I remember literally crying over Erik's medical evacuation. SO CLOSE AGAIN. I hope he comes back :(
I thought calab should’ve had a spot on the list
SAME
He was a comp beast and ppl liked him
The time he was there he didnt really do anything, especially since he never even went to tribal council
The thing is that he also did BB16 so he knew the lay of the land too (He knew how to strategize at least a little)
Wolfblood1094 He crushes it in challenges and sometime was the single reason his tribe won. I wouldn’t call that nothing.
It was too early to really know. The beauty tribe didnt really do much early on, so it’s hard to know where he’d be strategically. Of course you can say “everyone liked him,” but everyone liked everyone in the beauty tribe
Russell would have gone farther, but he was completely unaware of how many players looked at him. I think he had no chance of winning, unlike almost every other med evacuees
Connor McPike I agree, he would have been targeted as a physical and mental threat, had he made it to the merge. He was a good player.
Russells always seem to lack self-awareness
I really wanna see Terry Deitz come back and play the game again. Such an amazing player!
He was robbed in Exile, and unfortunately, but honorably left the game the second time for the right reason. I hope we get to see him again 🤞🏼❤️
Honestly the whole thing with scoops is poetic justice considering all the things that have come out about him… out of everything he could of burnt it happened to be his hands…
that dude that went home to his son was so heartwarming I loved when he said “I thought I was the 2nd chance guy”
My heart still breaks for Erik. He was a massive superfan who got a chance to play against and befriend some of the all-time greats after they were already great. He was just SO excited his first season and, like Ozzy said, he seemed to look at everything with innocence and puppy dog eyes. He was so excited that he stopped thinking straight and felt like everything just HAD to go in his favor, like nothing could ever go against him. And then he made one of the worst blunders in the history of the game and is still laughed at for it. Then he finally got a second chance and was doing really well (though the edit barely showed it) and once again made it deep into the game, this time with a relatively good position in the tribe. And then he was medevaced at the final five. It just feels like he was destined for so much more. I’m not sure that he could have won Caramoan, but I’d be willing to bet at least two people remaining had plans to take him to the final three. He could’ve really shaken things up in the end, even if he didn’t win. His games ended tragically twice. As such a superfan of the show, that’s gotta haunt him. And he seems like such a good guy too. He deserved better
I really hate to be the one to say it, but Colton was actually in a really good spot before he was medically evacuated. He had an idol in his pocket, complete control of his current tribe, extra numbers he could pick up at the merge, and was set to go deep. Obviously he's a polarising figure in the show to say the least, but he was definitely still likely to make a deep run before getting evac'd.
Not sure if Colton can stand up to Kim though come the merge. I wouldn't be surprised to see him join the women in picking off the men, only to get knocked out himself down the line.
Colton sucks though
(he quit)
His path to success was more likely than some people on this list imo
@@Peridiam But he had alicia on his side....i dont know if alicia sticks with him or kim...i called the first three erik i didnt see due to invisible edit and i didnt think terry was a medevac but good list :)
Fun story: today during global we were talking about Survivor (I brought it up lol) and my teacher told us a story and he said “one time I saw one of my old friends in a newspaper about Survivor, I don’t remember where he placed” and I was like “woah, what’s his name?” And he said “Tom Westman” And I was freaking out (no one else cared lol) and then he just went back to the lesson. Kind of boring but still one of the best Class periods I’ve ever had
Alexa Madeline that’s actually really freaking cool!!! My Global Experience class is so boring 😫
That is sick! I have a similar story too. I go to school in Iowa, near the Cedar Rapids area, and when I was at a local Hy-Vee with friends about a month ago, we ran into Denise Stapley! I got to say hi to her and talk with her for a couple of minutes and got her autograph! It was fucking amazing. One of my top five favorite winners of the entire show. She's such a nice and fun person and it was a complete honor to meet maybe the most iconic underdog to ever win, even though when I asked she said she'd probably not play again if CBS asked.
Nels Danburg this aged well
Kind of funny that your teacher didn't remember how Tom placed when he's one of the most dominant winners the show has had
@@nelsdanburg5407 Little did she know....
Peridiam: “#4, the predator”
Me:”must be skupin because of the child pornography scandal”
Jacob Adelsheimer I’ve heard people talking about it, but what exactly happened?
@@emilyfrancis3933 He was sentenced to jail for a year (and some probation and community service I guess) cuz he was found guilty of possessing child pornography.
dan spilo from island of the idols too
Aya Watanabe oh ok. Than you.
I see we thought the same when it came to Skupin and predator
I really want a med evac season as they have enough numbers for the tribes & I'm sure the players will be willing too play again
Im not sure all of them would be. Like Joe probaly can't do it again due to age. If you discount all the ones who have already got a second chance, you only have like 6 or 7 ...
@@coalhouse1981 mike skupin would never be allowed back again either now
@@58twright yeah of course not. The public generally dislikes pedophiles . plus he already had his 2nd chance but he kinda blew by taking Denise to the finals. (All though I think Lisa wins in that scenario)
Also I doubt Penner would because of his wife having ALS a.k.a. Lou Gerig's Disease
@@coalhouse1981 well they could do another season like the philippines with 3 medical evacs and 3 tribes!
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! Will be watching them for a long time to come
Michael's screams in Season 2 when he fell into the fire were haunting. And it was terrifying to watch.
I always skip that episode when I watch that season.
I really hope they bring Terry back, he's one of my favorite castaways of all time.
Micronesia would've turned out totally different had Penner not been evacuated
If Penner stays and is healthy, likely they win an additional challenge and Eric is voted off pre-merge. Not sure the game changes a whole from there unless Jason was really tight with Penner and he can flip Ozzy. Otherwise pretty much the same ending except we are robbed of Erik giving up immunity.
There was just something wrong with the entirety of Kaoh Rong
Penner’s medevac is the only time I have ever cried while watching Survivor. That broke my heart.
When it comes to med evacs I always think about Bruce from Survivor Panama... I felt bad for dude... I'd lose my mind if I couldn't use the restroom...
the castaways have to use the nature as their restroom eventually, if not at least in Ponderosa
@@IABITVpresents I think he means, Bruce has a bowel and bladder blockage..they had to do emergency surgery
@@H20fanatic20 why would he mean that? Problems with being unable to shit are not just related to bowel blockage are they
@@IABITVpresents dude that was the issue, are u stupid?
I honestly forgot that Erik was evacuated and I thought you were, for some reason, gonna count him giving up immunity😂
Honestly, I think Neal should be here. He had really strongs conections with all of the people and had an idol in his pocket
Neal was actually getting voted out at the merge unless he played his idol, at which point Aubry was going. Neal has said he was most likely going to play his idol on himself at the merge, but from there I'm not sure I see him going any further.
@@Peridiam Aubry did. And he wouldve been in her spot.
But does Neil have the same connections with Michele and Cyd as Aubry does?
You really gotta wonder how DvG would’ve gone if Pat hadn’t gotten hurt. Nick was going home that night if Pat had been there, and then the season is wide open. Crazy to think about
btw I recommend u do a "evolution of the kill the swing vote strategy" in survivor. Everyone loves Rob Cesternino
I LOVED Pat, which is why I did ask for this video, so thank you.
"Arms, shoulders, knees, or toes." 😂😂😂
16 players?! That's a whole season worth. DO IT!!!
KimOlson1993 idk if Skupin would be invited
well the gender imbalance would be a bit weird (even if you include Dana from Survivor: Philippines) and Skupin's out on aprole for being charged with the posession of child pornography
Idk if you talking about pat from Davis vs goliath but I really REALLY liked pat I'm super sad he left if he didn't hurt his back he would've won and if Christian had an idol on the day he got voted out he or pat would've won.
@@eveepiplup1012 I kinda doubt Pat would have won, but at least Christian had a chance.
5.Pat (37)
4. Colton (24)
3. Terry (31)
2. Caleb (32)
1. Russell (19)
Colton wasn't robbed. He was a racist, vindictive asshole and there's no way he would've won.
dankchu you r so right
Colton was ROBBED? He had no chance of winning
I actually talked to Russell Swan. He’s such a nice dude. He’s thankful for everything in life.
Thank you so much for showing Chet getting brutally destroyed by the original mayor of Slamtown
Erik(Micronesia : Fans Vs. Favorites) 5th place
Erik(Caramoan : Fans Vs. Favorites 2 ) 5th place
Erik(future 3rd chance) 5th place???
not seeing another fans vs. faves season in the horizon as just yet
@@IABITVpresents i dont think they will do another fans vs favorites again the last one caramoan wasnt very good
@@58twright that's producers fault, they purposefully made a shitty season so that Cochran could walk it all over
“Hopefully that number doesn’t rise.”
Roscoe in Australian 2019: *chuckles* I’m in danger.
Yeah that was painful to watch I really liked him.
ADAM FOLLINGTON it’s happening in my country tomorrow night
And my family doesn’t know cause I’m not allowed to tell them anything.
She was like
Wait did he say *don’t* put your arms on your chest
Well okay
Hey man have an idea for a season would love to hear your thoughts. It’s been brought up before in some forums but it’s called battle of the seasons. Would be an 18 or 20 person cast with tribes of either 6 or 5 players for original cast seasons. Could base it off the era of survivor too, like one tribe from seasons 1-10, one from seasons 11-20 and one from seasons 21-30. An example would be Pearl Islands vs Gabon vs Cagayan.
what about Joe!? if he wasn’t evacuated....Aubry wins....
Probably she gets voted out that tribal council
@@TheSunxy i think it was just an edit same as Pat med evac in dvg where edit showed that nick was going to be first voted out
@@IDKlaus nick was going to be voted out as far as I know frok the interviews?
@@TheSunxy oh yeah ur right, i think i read somewhere that bcs of his work ethic right
James Clement for having two of his three chances being ruined by medical problems.
Adam Collett bring him back for old vs new school
Now there are 17 medical evacuations counting Bi from this weeks episode
Bi quit
@@sagov9 yes however she needed to for her career
When Terry had to go home because of his son this also happened recently in Australian Survivor where Lee who had a good chance of winning and he had to leave because his mom had a seizure and she later died which was really sad
I disagree with you on some parts because, I thought Caleb should have gotten on this list. He was in an amazing spot!
Yes!! Thank you! Someone FINALLY talking about Kourtney Moon! No one ever does! She so deserves to come back :(
I never watched Second Chances but my goodness, just watching Terry's face as Jeff delivers the news is like a sledgehammer to the heart.
Erik probably had a 95% winning if he didn't get sick
really felt bad for erik here
I cry so hard every time I see the scene where Jeff tells Terry what's going on with his son.
The Terry Deitz one honestly breaks my heart as I have a heart condition as well
Pat having to leave nearly brang a tear to my eye. Pretty sure the missus did cry. He just did not want to give up. Poor guy glad he's doing okay
I feel like Erik had a shot to win
Neal robbed king favorite of Kaoh Rong deserves a second chance
2:36 that looks like Caleb from bb16. EDIT: I looked it up and that is Caleb from bb16.
There were three times where contestants from Survivor quit the game due to injury or illness despite being cleared to continue by medical teams: Gary, Dana, and Bi.
It’s like The Final five is cursed for Eric. There’s just some Survivor Gods not letting him through to the final four.
Final 5 Tribal Counsel of Survivor Season 40
Jeff: If anyone has a hidden immunity idol and would like to play it, now is the last time you can do so.
Erik: Jeff, there's no way I'm getting eliminated at final 5 a 3rd time *hands Jeff a Hidden Immunity Idol*
Jeff: This is a hidden immunity idol........... and this is the Idol Nullifier
Erik: Of *censored* course
Gabby: BING!
*Gabby, Christian and Domenick all play their Hidden Immunity Idols and as Chrissy has the immunity necklace Erik is eliminated by default*
this is the problem with overly emphasizing physicality in challenges. It's dangerous enough surviving in the wilderness with limited resources even moreso if the production keeps going with the most telegenic athlete-level challenges.
Glad you gave Erik #1. As long as Eddie doesn't win the challenge at final 5 Erik likely progresses to final 4. From there it's hard to determine what happens. If it's the same challenge as before Cochran likely wins, although who knows if Cochran still has an advantage going into it. If Erik wins I like to think Erik at least tries to vote out Cochran. If he succeeds then Erik has a real chance to defeat Dawn and Shari.
Cochran doesn't have the advantage if Erik doesn't get medevaced
Most likely. Was anything ever I confirmed? I always assumed the advantage challenge was going to be the final 5 challenge. Then again, there was an advantage challenge the season before and they were filmed back to back so it's possible it was something they were trying out that year.
yep cochran said the stacking challenge would have been an immunity challenge instead of reward and they'd vote eddie out at f5
What I found when I searched for his hand burn "Michael Skupin, who burned himself during the 2001 series "Survivor II: The Australian Outback" and who returned for "Survivor: Philippines," was convicted Friday on four of six child porn possession counts by jurors in Oakland County, near Detroit.Nov 19, 2016"
#1 was so robbed. Poor guy. Shane Powers was gold. How has he never returned???
After Shane lost in the poll for Cambodia, he announced he was done with the show.
they tried to get him back for a while he will never be back now after he didnt make it on cambodia he called up probst drunk & verbally attacked him & said a lot of bad things about probst & production he also said after lynne spillman got fired he was really good friends with her he said that he dosent want to go through the casting process again
Lmao. If Eric came back for a third season I would be disappointed if he didn't get idoled out like that
Was Eric at 9:00
P.Sid that was what happened too him😯
I just started watching survivor so IDK🙀
‘And here I was thinking I was the second chance guy, the second chance survivor is right here’
This really tugged at my heartstrings ngl

I love your vids so much great list the Terry one made me Cry again I'm so happy that his son is ok
Top 10 forgotten sole survivors
Now that Pat was a round 1 medevac, I'm thinking he and Kourtney should return like Skupin, Swan, and Penner did.
pat i think will come back at some point i dont think they would bring kourtney from one world back again
Omg I forgot about Shane carrying Bruce out naked 🤣🤣🤣
So I'm pretty sure Eric was actually in anaphylactic shock from the antibiotics he was taking (hence the drop in blood pressure)
Yeah he said he had an allergic reaction to the penicillin he was on for an infection in his leg
Awesome channel. Love your bb and survivor videos!! Road to 1 million
I have watched all of you videos right from the start and you habe never disappointed
Poor Erik 😭😭😭
You can hear her wrist break
Why you gotta release it during school now I got to stop doing work 😭
Mwahahaha.
LOL, that clip at the end. For what it's worth, Shane was a nut, but he's GORGEOUS. Just...put on some pants? I'd even settle for underwear.
Eric’s evacuation was really shocking because he was so fit being a long distance runner.
Hey man, absolutely awesome videos, just discovered your channel and I am already a fan, binged-watched you all day. I have an idea for an next video of yours: What about biggest controversies post show? Crystal, Russel, Hatch,... Between edit controversies, spoilers and legal, it might be quite interesting to digg into?
That footage of russell is so scary. Haven't watched survivor in years, don't think i remember much of that season (although I remember the freaking mazeball challenge), but god that's terrifying.
Notice that all the challenges that had medical injuries are not used anymore
Terry Deets left because his son was having a heart transplant and he wanted to be there for his wife and son. He left to be there for his son in a very big life changing moment.
So bummed about Pat this season. He was such a good character.
But Penner in f vs f was the most devastating at the time for me, personally. Heartbreaking.
What I don't get is why was Eric acting like he was so hungry he had just eaten on the loved ones visit I mean yeah that was probably a couple of days beforehand but he had some food Dawn hadn't eaten and she wasn't complaining actually she was during the loved ones visit but she wasn't going crazy like that
Love your videos, and they HAVE to bring Terry back. He deserves to return
How about doing a Top 5 worst first boots
When you said Philippines and predator in the same sentence I thought you were going to talk about [REDACTED]
Courtney Moon was my preseason favorite of One World.
i was soooo sad to see her out
Um James from Micronesia? He is literally the most underrated challenge beast. I’ve never seen someone get so mad about looosing that his tribe hated him for it no matter how good his personality is.
I feel like some quits are more understandable than others. Dana had a lot more reason to quit than Colton. (in his 2nd quit)
As for medevacs, this is why I consider Phillipines to be an amazing season.
The Russell one was so hard to watch, poorly guy, that must have been horrifying to watch back for him 😭❤️❤️
5. Terry
4. Penner
3. Russell
2. Skupin
1. Erik
Russell Swan was not unfair, he almost died
Damn he should’ve said “cross your arms across your chest” kinda like what you do when you go on a water slide
8:00 the camera went so stable until that part. everything was shaking. woah.
How about a video on the top 5/10 best/worst casts in Survivor (and later, Big Brother) history? I'm just talking overall casting -- not the location, twist, or outcome. Personally, I think Survivor has done a much better job in recent seasons in getting a good mix of fans and recruits, with solid themes. But I'd love to know which seasons featured casts that (from first out to Sole Survivor) you loved -- and didn't.
Great video like always been since season 33
we need blood vs water with Terry and his son
Neil Gottlieb got pretty screwed too.
For some reason I thought this was going to be about survivors stealing medical equipment from the crew during Medical Evacuations.
I would have put Neil on this list but otherwise good
I wanted to see that thing on his back burst
Russel- passes out on the ground
Doctors “Russel wake up”
0:05 Well you can see in the video that Courtney wasn't paying attention when Jeff was giving the instruction to keep their arms to their chests because it was a long way down. That's on her.
