I started with 250 dollars, used 10% and paid it off within a week or 2 each time i used it. 6 months later get my 250 back, get a 2000 credit limit increase and now i’m 18 with a 730 credit score…navy federal is really good when it comes to building credit. No regrets
I have had the N's rewards card for a year and have not graduated yet. But I did a pre-qualified and got approved for the navy Federal Go rewards card for 10,800.00 credit limit
Im in the process of rebuilding and applied for the secured card. Got approved and I funded it with $300. I will update in about 3 months lol. Thanks, great videos. 👍🏾 Sub'd
I love their way of doing this. I’ve only been a member for a little over a month and was approved for a rewards credit card. Shocking to me because my credit isn’t superb but it isn’t terrible. I’m hoping to increase my limit within three months .
Thanks for the info I direct deposit a portion of my pay into my savings with NFCU and by the 2nd deposit I was able to be approved for the secured rewards card.
i applied yesterday on my birthday just turned 18 got approved for platinum 500$ 18% apr no direct deposit on account no credit at all no auth user. my navy federal account is 9 years old
Great insights video, as always! For challenged/rebuilding credit, wait six months with secured and "apply" after the 180 days or 6 statements to get the "CashRewards" sign-up bonus, or is it best to let them convert and lose out on the bonus? If applying for a second card after 180 days or 6 statements, is that advisable to get a second credit card, and the secured can also be converted or take it easy and focus on one at a time?
I have a secured card with 5,000 on it, have had it for over a year and no graduation yet. Applied for a cash rewards the other day and got approved for 20,000. Any advice on finally graduating?
I also opened mine with $5,000. My credit score was around 620 at the time. After the first 3 months, nothing but an email that it was review time. My credit score is now about 680; and my 6 months review is next month. I also have the Flagship card ($5,300,) Pledge Loan (paid $100,000 down to $12.50;) direct deposit, Flagship Checking, everyday checking, savings, and about $4,800 in CDs. Hopefully, next month will bring good news....
I've had the 200 secured card for 5 months and I went online and got pre approved for the cash rewards card And applied for it and got approved for a $9400 limit so now I wonder what will happen with my secured card?
I joined and got the secured card. I put a minimum of about $300 in the account and added like $25 to the savings account each month and left $500 in the checking only. I called on month 7 or 8 about the upgrade and NFCU stated they look at the accounts automatically , every 6 months. I did his Platinum card hack and got $20k then the next week my secured card graduated to the cash reward card.
Hello hope all is well with u & just to have a clear understanding so u only spend $25 no more than $30 every month & deposit it back to your savings account?
I’ve had the secured card for about 2 years. Never late and always pays off balance before it’s due and is reported to the credit agencies. And my credit isn’t all that bad. So I’m guessing I’m a random forgotten end user.
Ive had the secured credit card for like 6 months stayed consistent keeping the numbers low but i dont know if my card can graduate or not, does navy fed reach out to me for that?
If my limit is $200 and I use $150 and I leave 1% before the closing date or if I pay it down to 1% ASAP is that okay thing to do to get a higher limit?
I just bought something with that card on eBay but I paid full price and I’m a new credit user so do I have to still pay for that item monthly or I paid it off already?
I think ur suppose to just pay the monthly balance off, but to be on the safe side i would pay the balance and extra depending on how much % of credit utilization you used & it’s always good stay at 15% credit utilization because they look at that too

Same here ! I’ve had it mine since before the pandemic . And i just use it and pay off the balance .
I have this card now for going on 3 months . But this last month, I over paid by 100 bucks ! How will this affect my credit score ?
Question, if I get two secure credit cards with navy federal. Would I graduate in 6 months to 2 different unsecured cards?
Ive had the secured credit card for like 6 months stayed consistent keeping the numbers low but i dont know if my card can graduate or not, does navy fed reach out to me for that?
It's been 1 year and I still haven't graduated and I NEVER missed a payment
You have to request the increese every 100 days with no late payments and the uitlzation under 30%
If my limit is $200 and I use $150 and I leave 1% before the closing date or if I pay it down to 1% ASAP is that okay thing to do to get a higher limit?
Yes that will work great
Wait so I don’t have to use this credit card at all with my $200 deposit and it will increase
Use $20 thats it. And pay it back on time.
I just bought something with that card on eBay but I paid full price and I’m a new credit user so do I have to still pay for that item monthly or I paid it off already?

I did a pre approved n received a 500 rewards CC. How do I get a raise or another CC
Are you banked with Navy F
Thanks for the info!
Will it say secured on my credit report?
No
Should I leave a balance? Or pay in full every month
Just answered your question and shouted you out in my new video!
I need to holler at you
