Classic story moments including the flashback? Check. New story moments? Check. Classic gameplay? Check. New gameplay? Check. Serious story implications? Check. Fun, whimsical moments and mini-games? Check. Basically everything anyone would want was in here (except maybe Cid). Early 2024 GOTY favorite for sure.

More details got revealed in the newest article on PlayStation blog and other interviews:
- 100 hours of gameplay
- The climax of this game will include The Forgotten Capital, but no Wutai until part 3
- You will "control sephiroth in the same part as the original game"
- Not all party members will be playable until part 3 (like Cid and Vincent), but those that you can not control will be companion characters like Red XIII was in part 1. (This problaly hints that Cid will be a guest character like Red was in Remake)
- No save data transfer, but you get Leviathan for Remake and Ramuh for Intermission episode save data.
They really went all out with rebirth. Everything is there, every iconic location in its full glory, every mini game and it all looks so good. It feels like rebirth is bekng made with a lot of pride behind it.
Happy to see that Cait Sith is looking just as goofy as i was hoping. Super excited to see Vincent and it sounds like he's voiced by Matt Mercer, same voice actor as Yusuke from persona 5, who i've been thinking is perfect for Vincent since remake.
And most of all i'm curious about all the Zack stuff, i have no idea how that's all going to work.

I'm excited for the Golden Saucer in this game, too, and I didn't even like the Golden Saucer section in the original, Lol. I know it's this iteration of the characters first time meeting him, but I would have loved for someone in the room to go, "oh hey, buddy", when Vincent jumped out of that coffin. I missed you man
YEAAAAAAH BOY!!! I see Square-Enix is STILL really putting in the work on this game and we finally got an official release date which is in February of next year! Though I was hoping for sooner like in January.

Wow! They crammed every little thing from the original into this! The real question is are they gonna pronounce Cait Sith, "Kate Sith" or "Ket Shee". Lol

As a traditionalist i prefer the original FF VII. Didn't like the remake at all so far (played part 1, though). Yes, graphics and presentation are great, but it still is a far cry from the original...and that overhauled combat system? Pure button raping. Bah...
